Had a great family dinner here last weekend. They were slammed. It's new ownership. Glad they are doing well but I'm sure it's a lot to figure out! We were pretty bummed they were out of clams but the dishes we had were good. Glad it's still a great place to go in the middle of nowhere with memorable decor. If I could change one thing... they need larger glasses for soda and water. They were so busy and we had to ask for numerous refills especially since their soda glasses were tiny. Service also felt harried with a number of small mix ups but this all felt like typical growing pains. We will definitely be back!

This place was absolutely amazing! The food was fantastic and the service was unbelievably welcoming. The prices weren't bad and the food tasted so fresh, especially the dinner special (stuffed haddock that night). would definitely recommend. we might even move to this area because the food was that memorable. warning though, there is a lot of taxidermy so heads up on that. but the ambience and the aesthetic is lovely. the decor in the women's bathroom was hilarious!

Kinda hard to gauge these places as there is a wide breadth in quality for a lot of these items. My party received the crab fries and I got the fried haddock. The crab fries were excellent. Enough crab and cheese for each individual fry. I forget the specific sauce but I found myself dunking frequently. The fried haddock was light, flaky whitefish but filling. The tartar sauce was excellently tangy and refreshing. I have a feeling they make it in-house. I had two beers and the tab came out to around $40. For a Friday evening, I would call this a high quality experience to banter with friends or coworkers.

The food is on point, the faces are familiar and welcoming the atmosphere is warm and the patio is beautiful. Tonight we celebrated my mom's birthday. My parents love the fish dinner. The crab fries are my go to. This night happened to be steak night. We shared the sharing steak board special and it did not disappoint and fed 3 adults and a toddler! Desserts were yummy as well. While I get the raspberry cheesecake every chance I get if they have it, tonight we had the blueberry and banana deserts. And they were amazing! Be sure to stop in if your ever in the Bloomsburg area.

And…read moreevery summer for over fifteen years, we either prepare or recover at the Holiday Inn Express off the Buckhorn exit on Route 80, frequently both. Since our visit last summer, the property has undergone another evolution. They have refreshed the public areas and replaced the HVAC systems. In a universe governed mostly by entropy and bad air circulation, a crisp, quiet hotel room is a minor miracle. The renovated common spaces are bright, modern, and inviting, standing in sharp contrast to the fading ghost of the mall across the road. Yet while the ductwork and lobby have been modernized, the soul of the place remains untouched. The staff here continues to be absurdly, wonderfully kind. They do not treat you like a credit card with legs; they greet you like long-lost cousins returning home for a family reunion. Every interaction is pleasant, genuine, and unrushed. The staples that make this place a haven are all still here. The Costa coffee machine that literally showed up while we were visiting last year grinds whole beans on demand, dispensing hot sanity to accompany cinnamon rolls designed to obliterate any lingering notions of human self-restraint. The rooms are spotless, the beds are exceptionally comfortable, and the blackout shades permit a sleep so deep it feels subterranean. Everything works. Everyone is nice. In a chaotic world, that is about as close to perfection as a roadside hotel can get. So it goes. Five stars, hands down. We will be back next summer.

You had to either stay in the pool which was on the cold side or leave. It would have been useful when we checked in to be told this as my 5 yr old grandson wanted to use the pool as soon as we checked in and the staff heard him asking about the pool. Second chance and it was a fail for a few reasons…read more.... I stopped in to Jamison City Hotel this evening and ordered a prime rib "rare". The prime rib appears to be pre-cooked and reheated at the time of ordering based on the temperature, texture, and appearance of the meat. The cut I ordered came out medium well, so it was not cooked to order. I did not send it back because it took quite some time to get food, so I chalked it up to the fact that I just would not order that dish again in the future. The atmosphere was good, but the kitchen was extremely slow due to Valentine's Day I suppose. The wait staff was flustered and seemed to be rather disorganized. (Example: Took 10 mins to get silverware after bread and salad was delivered) The biggest disappointment of the evening was when I paid with the gift card that my parents had given me last Christmas 21'. The server thanked me and I headed out. While driving down the road I saw the server exit the restaurant and wave me down. I turned around and she let me know the gift certificate that had been purchased with hard earned money had expired. She stated that the owner told her that she would have to pay my bill if she didn't catch me. Wow! BUYER BEWARE..... I did not realize that someone would put an expiration date on hard earned money, but Jamison city hotel does. In my opinion horrible business practices guys! Had I not had 50.00 in cash in my pocket (value of my gift card) I would have been forced to go back in and pay a bill and appear as though I skipped out on a bill. All in all, this was a very poor experience, and I personally will not return, but I wish Jamison city, the best of luck moving forward.

But we have been so thrilled with our stay that I just had to leave a review for them, especially considering the absence of reviews on Yelp. This place is just absolutely wonderful! The scenic view is astounding, yes it may be extremely rural, but if you are looking for that, I wouldn't look anywhere else in the area. The resort is seated on top of the "Endless Mountains", which are indeed, seemingly endless. The units are wonderful, they are split level with 2 bedrooms downstairs, the master BR connects to a bathroom with a shower, which then connects to a beautiful room cedar wood room with a Jacuzzi and inside of that room is a sauna. The other bedroom has a bathroom with shower as well. Upstairs is a kitchen and living room with a fireplace and deck. The absolute best part about the resort is the staff. I have never in my life experienced such wonderful staff! Georgia and Mike run the front desk and are the nicest people you could ever ask to talk to. They are beyond helpful, filled with recommendations and insights about the area, and are beyond accommodating. Also, Laura, who lives on the resort and closes down the recreational building, is an absolute delight! She is very nice and helpful and even fun to hang out with! I 200% recommend this place if you are looking for a mountainous vacation surrounded by the best staff you could imagine.
