This place was absolutely amazing! The food was fantastic and the service was unbelievably welcoming. The prices weren't bad and the food tasted so fresh, especially the dinner special (stuffed haddock that night). would definitely recommend. we might even move to this area because the food was that memorable. warning though, there is a lot of taxidermy so heads up on that. but the ambience and the aesthetic is lovely. the decor in the women's bathroom was hilarious!

We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. Thank you!

It sits just off the Buckhorn exit on Route 80, perfectly placed for weary travelers who want to be done driving as soon as they see the sign. There are gas stations nearby, a Walmart within a stone's throw, and a scattering of restaurants to keep you fed. There is a mall across the street too, though it is fading away, more ghost than marketplace. This hotel is consistently, remarkably, well-kept. The rooms are spotless and quiet. The pool is clean and welcoming. Despite only coming one night a year, the staff greet us as though we are long-lost cousins finally arriving for the family reunion. Every interaction is pleasant, genuine, and unrushed. Breakfast is exactly what a Holiday Inn Express breakfast should be. You will find pre-made omelettes, bacon, sausage, breads and pastries, cereals, yogurts, fruit, and the famous cinnamon rolls that seem designed to undo whatever restraint you showed at the rest of the buffet. Coffee is available all day, but this year there was a change worth noting. They have replaced the large communal cisterns with sleek Costa coffee machines that grind whole beans and brew each cup fresh. The old coffee was never bad, but now it is actively good. In the lobby there is a small sundries store with snacks, microwave meals, and a modest beer selection featuring Bud, Corona, Miller Genuine Draft, and Yuengling. Handy for the traveler who realizes they would like to end the day with something cold in hand. After a dozen years, this hotel still delivers exactly what I hope for when I book it. Clean rooms, friendly people, a good night's sleep, and a short drive to the park in the morning. It is the best value in the area, hands down.

Second chance and it was a fail for a few reasons…read more.... I stopped in to Jamison City Hotel this evening and ordered a prime rib "rare". The prime rib appears to be pre-cooked and reheated at the time of ordering based on the temperature, texture, and appearance of the meat. The cut I ordered came out medium well, so it was not cooked to order. I did not send it back because it took quite some time to get food, so I chalked it up to the fact that I just would not order that dish again in the future. The atmosphere was good, but the kitchen was extremely slow due to Valentine's Day I suppose. The wait staff was flustered and seemed to be rather disorganized. (Example: Took 10 mins to get silverware after bread and salad was delivered) The biggest disappointment of the evening was when I paid with the gift card that my parents had given me last Christmas 21'. The server thanked me and I headed out. While driving down the road I saw the server exit the restaurant and wave me down. I turned around and she let me know the gift certificate that had been purchased with hard earned money had expired. She stated that the owner told her that she would have to pay my bill if she didn't catch me. Wow! BUYER BEWARE..... I did not realize that someone would put an expiration date on hard earned money, but Jamison city hotel does. In my opinion horrible business practices guys! Had I not had 50.00 in cash in my pocket (value of my gift card) I would have been forced to go back in and pay a bill and appear as though I skipped out on a bill. All in all, this was a very poor experience, and I personally will not return, but I wish Jamison city, the best of luck moving forward.

But we have been so thrilled with our stay that I just had to leave a review for them, especially considering the absence of reviews on Yelp. This place is just absolutely wonderful! The scenic view is astounding, yes it may be extremely rural, but if you are looking for that, I wouldn't look anywhere else in the area. The resort is seated on top of the "Endless Mountains", which are indeed, seemingly endless. The units are wonderful, they are split level with 2 bedrooms downstairs, the master BR connects to a bathroom with a shower, which then connects to a beautiful room cedar wood room with a Jacuzzi and inside of that room is a sauna. The other bedroom has a bathroom with shower as well. Upstairs is a kitchen and living room with a fireplace and deck. The absolute best part about the resort is the staff. I have never in my life experienced such wonderful staff! Georgia and Mike run the front desk and are the nicest people you could ever ask to talk to. They are beyond helpful, filled with recommendations and insights about the area, and are beyond accommodating. Also, Laura, who lives on the resort and closes down the recreational building, is an absolute delight! She is very nice and helpful and even fun to hang out with! I 200% recommend this place if you are looking for a mountainous vacation surrounded by the best staff you could imagine.
