Cute place that was busy on a Friday for lunch. Managed to snag a table during a lull. Ordered the veggie sandwich and it was yummy, but wasn't a huge fan of the spread they put on it. I don't like dill, so was a little disappointed that the spread was dill flavored. Maybe I missed that on the menu... Also ordered their iced tea which was yummy. Prices here are great!!! A neat cozy coffee bar in the restored section of Owatonna known as "Old Town" because well it is the older part of town and looks great. This small place has a large menu of food items freshly made as well as the usual coffee concoctions with friendly service. There are a few places to sit outside and ample inside seating. This is a nice little place located right downtown. Their biggest draw is probably the variety of coffees, lattes, etc, but they also have nice breakfast and lunch options on the menu. Sandwiches, salads, wraps, breakfast burritos, omelets, oatmeal, and a very impressive selection of waffles. Just go to the counter to glance at the menu, order, and pay. Grab a small table and they will bring it out to you. I ordered the Cereal Killer waffle. There were Fruity Pebbles in the waffle! It was topped with more Fruity Pebbles, cream cheese, and whipped cream. It was delicious. I didn't bother with the syrup that was served with it. I also ordered a panini melt to take home. Turkey, bacon, ham, and herb cream cheese on your choice of bread. It was very good. I'm not a coffee person, but apparently everyone else in there was, so they must know what they're doing. The service was very friendly. The prices were reasonable. If you can get there before they close at 5:00 you'll be glad you did. read more

I wished I lived in or near Owatonna so I could come here every day. What a great place! The coffee is superior, the food is tasty and reasonably priced (e.g., an omelet for less than $5), and the setting is down-home and comforting. I had a muffin that was one of the best ever--and Char, the owner, told me it had been baked that morning. A refreshing antidote for those who frequent the corporate coffee places where the food is wrapped in plastic and probably weeks or months old. Bottom line, you'll be inspired knowing there still are places like this in the world. read more

Great Coffee shop right off of the main park workers are nice the vibe is really nice everything around it's just really nice - heads up there is construction on the street right outside the main entrance so you may need to park and walk a block or two. I ordered the zebra mocha iced with oat milk. In terms of coffee mocha and sugar ratio you can definitely taste the sugar but all in all it was pretty good. read more

One of the best small cafes in Owatonna, MN! They serve a variety of sandwiches, including at least one named for one of the parks and roads in town. They also have the best waffles, themed with a variety of toppings. For example, Red, White and Berry has a toppings of strawberries, whipped cream and berries. My favorite seasonal topping is strawberry rhubarb! The place has character! You can sit on a bench with themed throw pillows or at a high top table. I swung off the highway, found this little hidden treasure in the city center of owatonna and I wasn't disappointed! The service was truly amazing, the staff were attentive and friendly. The coffee was delicious and my cinnamon roll waffle with whip cream and cream cheese icing was to die for! I ate every last bite and wasn't disappointed! The food and drinks came out in minutes and everything was clean and felt very calming. You could definitely work there or swing by for a good conversation. This place stinks... save your time and go down the street at Old Town Bagels. I asked for a honey cinnamon latte and the honey and cinnamon was not stirred in. I would save $5 and go somewhere else. This place offers different flavors of coffee, they also have organic coffee, and their unique coffee that you can only buy at their store. The coffee here is so quality, it is so good and healthy for our body and tummy, and it is incredibly delicious. They also have waffles on the menu, which is also phenomenal, you can partner it with your hot coffee, their waffles is so soft and tasty. All of the food on their menu is so affordable, you can literally try and taste everything without breaking your pockets, they are so fair in terms of pricing. This place is so cozy, it has a lovely atmosphere, and the vibe hits different when you are actually there. No wonder why lot of people keep visiting and eating at their place, they are so nice and cute place, perfect for breakfast and even brunch. I really love the variety they have on their menu. The ultimate in a homey, friendly, small town coffee shop. I'm a long-term regular at Central Park Coffee and can't imagine Owatonna without this gem. It's the kind of business that makes a small town special. Sue Pap brought it to a higher level and now the Farrington's are building on Sue's legacy. Any coffee shop can brew a decent cup of Colombian or make a proper latte, but what sets CPC apart from many places is the fantastic staff. I can only speak about the morning-early afternoon staff since I'm rarely there past 3:00, but Emily, Katie, and Laura are wonderfully charming, cheerful, efficient, and customer-oriented. They make EVERYONE who walks in feel instantly welcome and at home. They infuse CPC with cheerful energy and give CPC a warm, positive vibe. This is a coffee shop worth going out of your way for. Lunch options are soups, sandwiches, and wraps. All are fresh and tasty. Their waffles are much better than those at Perkins or other chain breakfast places. They offer a nice variety of muffins, pastries, and other sweets. Gluten free options are available for some lunch items. The overall ambiance is Cheers combined with a quality coffee shop combined with a quality bakery. If you're traveling across southern MN on US 14 or Interstate 35, taking a break at Central Park Coffee is worth the short detour. read more

We were visiting relatives in Owatonna, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a place with gluten-free options on the menu. The sandwich I had on the tomato basil GF bread was very tasty, as was the mango piña colada smoothie. My sister loved her cinnamon roll waffle. We came back later with more family for afternoon coffee, and I loved my hazelnut mocha latte and GF coffee cake. I love their long menu of tasty-looking coffee drinks, and the whole place is adorable! read more

Loved this coffee shop - had to give someone a lift to Owatonna from an hour away and needed a place to wait and study - this place was perfect - free wifi without any connection issues - comfortable places to sit (variety - tables, lounge chairs, etc) cozy yet didn't feel crowded. Everyone was super friendly - both the other patrons and the ladies behind the counter - and coffee of course was wonderful. Decently priced too, especially compared to the chain coffee places I'm usually stuck with other places. Might even consider making the drive some other time just for this coffee shop. read more
