It was excellent, and really gave us the chance to explore the subtle flavors of an excellent oolong and how they evolve through multiple short steepings. They also are one of a handful of places in the US that grind their own matcha. My friend picked some up for his girlfriend back home and she loved it! The interior was quiet and about what you might expect from a tea house, which is exactly what I think you'd want for a tea experience.

Since matcha will lose some of its flavor as it oxidizes, they seal up the container after they scoop the powder in--I didn't open the container until a month after I got it and there weren't any off flavors. I can't comment on the sit-down experience since I was just there to buy the small container in the picture, but I liked the dim lighting and calming atmosphere. I also like their gift boxes that have single servings of different teas in tiny packages--it reminds me of a Godiva chocolate box.
