After talking to him once and telling him about our credit problems, Dwight went above and beyond, helping us to find a place within an hour that fit our criteria. Me and a friend came in on a Saturday about a month ago to see about locating an apartment. We met with Michael Koster, who sat us down and spent a couple of hours looking over websites of apartment layouts. I was a little set back, because not once did he offer to bring us anywhere to look, and he seemed content to just sit there and browse. We left after viewing hundreds of layouts on a screen, and proceeded to look at a couple of apartment units on our own. We found one we liked very much (not even located by Michael) and have since settled on this unit and signed a lease. However, today I received a phone call from a phone number not saved in my phone, which I typically will not answer, and there was not a voicemail left for me. I then immediately received the following email (the first email since I first left your office), which quite frankly, shocks me with the brashness and rudeness of the tone: "Good afternoon Corey and how are you? I'm going to assume since you are screening your calls that you are truly not serious about finding a place. Hope you have a great weekend. Sincerely Yours," Me not answering my phone does NOT indicate I didn't want to find a place. If I didn't want to find a place, I would not have come in looking for someone to help me. I was not pleased with the service I received at your office, and am most displeased with the email received today. Maybe he should have asked, checked to see if I still needed help. I have another roommate who will be looking for a place to look in the near future, and rest assured I will be telling him NOT to use you guys, because an employee like this is not one I would want a friend to have experiences with. read more

When we were on the fence and thinking about selling our old place, he encouraged us to take advantage of Austin's booming rental market, even though he could have made more money if we had sold. He is a great communicator, making sure everybody is on the same page, and returns phone calls and emails promptly (which is what lead us to work with him). I am moving from New England to Texas for grad school and do not have a lot of time to search, so I elicited some help. She was impossible to get a hold of after the initial contact. Eventually, she sent me an email with a few listing but would not share the addresses or complex names with me. I wanted to be somewhat close to my new school, so I hoped to map out commutes. If you are selling a house and have a buyer working with Jay Flores, either walk away or be prepared with a very knowledgeable agent to advocate for you every step of the way so you don't get fooled. I lost $5,000 from my profits so they could replace the roof on my house, which was determined to still be in good condition from both the insurance company and professional roofer's report. I tried to amicably negotiate to repair instead of replace it as it was still in great condition and had another 15 or so years left, but no. He threatened to sue if I didn't replace the roof. A contract was signed that the roofer (provided by buyer) would come and fix the roof the week of the closing date. I was there everyday that week, and not once did I see anyone come and replace the roof or even see any signs of roof work being done on the home. I tried to ask about the roof, and instead I got berated for supposedly leaving a "dirty" house (which I spent 5 hours cleaning), and this was 3 days AFTER we had already signed the closing papers on the house. Who does that???? I wish I had never crossed paths with this jerk. read more

We were in the market to buy a house for my mother when she moved here from out of state. We started out with a Keller Williams Realtor but ended up firing him. I then was referred to Lori Bolton at Central Metro. Lori immediately started showing me house. She was always available and when writing up the offer was very informative on all the different choices we needed to make or ask for. We were able to get into a contract and the terms were awesome. She got us a house that we would have 8K in equity upon move in. The financing was a nightmare (See my review under Sente Mortgage) but Lori was awesome and handled all the issues for us. We had a great experience with Don Dillard! He drove us to every place imaginable to rent for our Daughter who will be a Grad Student. He was knowledgable and patient and was able to show us everything we wanted to see in our short trip to Austin. Anyone can do searches on the internet but it helped to have someone who knew the city to take us to each place and he was able to get us into every property with a lock box. Don Dillard is truly amazing!!! He helped me find a place that was both affordable and safe. He gave me a range of option to choose from. He even went a step further to stop by my job and pick up my application fees and delivered to the Apartment office. He stand in touch the entire process from the application completion until the approval. I did not have to call and check on the application status because he was so prompt.
