Hands down, Kramarczuk's has the best food in Minneapolis! An old, Eastern European restaurant…read morewith a separate bakery attached to it. Has an iconic 50's vibe where wood paneling and booths are king. You order from the counter, pay at the cashier and find a table to consume delicacies made for kings. The Polish Pierogies are amazing a stuff full of meat and tender beyond belief. The Hungarian Goulash is amazing with tasty chunks of beef that is both tender and flavorful coupled with veggies that melt in your mouth. The Cabbage rolls are also very hefty and packed full of flavor. The only complaint (not really) is the huge amount of choices readily available for diners. Making decisions and controlling oneself will prove very difficult. The bakery is heavenly with fruit filled Danishes that caress the taste buds. The highlight is the Napoleanka Custard cake/pie which is one of the best tasting desserts known in history! The flaky crust coupled by the enormous amount of custard filling makes this an impossible item to resist. Kramarczuk's is a staple and cannot be missed!

First part of the building is a deli/market. The dining area is a cafeteria style where you grab a tray and go down the line. I recommend reviewing the menu before hand because there's so many options. We ordered the pastrami brisket (Reuben style), a Ukrainian sausage, a kale salad, sauerkraut, one meat peroigi, and meat/tomato cabbage roll. The pastrami was so tender and flavorful. Nice and warm on toas ted rye. The sausage had a great snap and great flavor. The peroigi was underwhelming for us. Just ok. Kale salad and sauerkraut were good. My favorite was the cabbage roll. A little sweet from the cabbage, tangy from the tomato sauce, and savory and comforting. Drinks are self serve.

We've only had lunch here but I hear the breakfast is just as good, especially the hash browns and tomato jam. We've had the Pool and Yacht, Raffi Luigi and the Gigi. Incredible! Their chicken salad is pulled chicken with white and dark meat, herbs and pepperoncini, etc. Really love it. The Giardinera is nice because it's almost blitzed in a food processor so it's smaller and doesn't fly out of the sandwich when you bite into it. They don't overdo the sauces either. Just enough on the sandwiches. The only downfall is that some things can be spicy, especially the potato salad. Like really spicy. So much so it's all you taste. That won't stop me from going back though. I crave a sandwich the minute I'm done. Oh and they also have a provisions case where you can buy packed items like pimento cheese, chicken salad, etc. Go there. You will love it! Open daily til 3pm. Closed Mondays. Breakfast has a cut-off time depending on the day, but lunch is served open til closed.

Everything tasted fresh and made to order. Skip the weekend rush in my opinion and check them out on a weekday--it made it incredibly easy to find seating and enjoy our food and the ambiance. Service was professional, fast, and friendly! Can't wait to try their lunch menu!

Being 5 minutes from our destination we decided to give it a try And boy are we glad we did! The sammiches weee absolutely outstanding. They come with a smorgasbord of toppings, so you need to peruse the list to determine if there is anything you DON'T want. We had three turkey sammiches and one ham, and everyone chose to modify their toppings slightly (note/ if you desire tomatoes, those need to be added as they oddly aren't on included in the smorgasbord ‍) I opted for everything - perhaps a bit anxious about how well all the flavours would mesh (mayo, mustard, horseradish, oil and vinegar along with various toppings). But you know something / it worked really really well. We also chose the potato salad as a side and it was also quite tasty. Lighter, northerly mayo's. While the sammiches weee being constructed we perused the offering in the attached grocery. Everything oooed fantastic and if we lived Locally, I would certainly be a regular - with an eye to trying many of their offerings beyond the sandwich counter.

We shared a charcuterie board that was amazing and loaded with a fun variety of things, perfect for snacking over wine with friends. There really isn't anything else quite like this in the Twin Cities. It somehow feels like you've escaped Minneapolis for the evening, which makes it such a fun spot for a night out. The wine selection is great, and the food is surprisingly really good too. They also offer lunch and brunch options with sandwiches, salads, and of course their charcuterie boards. On top of that the service was fantastic, super friendly and attentive.

Minnesota has disappointed me more than once. Too often the pastrami is sliced thin, served light, and feels more like an afterthought than the main event. That changed today. The pastrami was smoky, tender, flavorful, and there was actually enough meat on the sandwich to call it a pastrami sandwich without laughing. This was easily one of the best pastrami sandwiches I've had in the Twin Cities, and honestly, it may be the best.
