With a toddler at home and being 7 months pregnant, those two weeks without proper AC felt endless. I finally called Central Comfort in the second week, and despite my HOA making everything difficult, they got my entire unit replaced within three business days. Unreliable and unprofessional. Made an appointment for the next day from 9am-11am, next day at 10am decided to call to confirm and to my surprice there was no record of the appointment. The lady was not cooperative at all and did not want to ask for the man i talked to the day before, she simply keep on insisting that there was no appointment. Even insinuating that i had called the wrong company. I explained that one of the vehicles was at my condominium rhe day before and i talked to the tech and he even gave me a price. So i got the number from the side of the van and called to make the appointment. That lady should not be warking there at all. In short wasted morning and got upset, great way to start a friday. Warranty work for a Trane 2-ton compressor replacement 7 years into a 10 year warranty was billed at $1,840. They took advantage of the vulnerable. Central Comfort was the original installer of both the Compressor and Air Handler. The "warranty" work was just about the price of the original purchase and installation (for the compressor). I am extremely disappointed with my experience with this company. Very misleading. If you need your AC split unit cleaned, it will cost you $70 just for a tech to come to your house for a 1 minute peek at your unit. This is what they call a "tune up." With a brief, minimal inspection that will cost you $450-$550 per unit for an in depth cleaning (understandably). The tech provided no new information to me. He didn't turn the AC on, didn't run any "diagnostic", he just took a quick look. It should be clear the $70 is actually to pay for an estimate. That's it, no diagnostic, no tune up or cleansing. On their website when you click "free estimate" and fill out the info, a rep will call you back. Their free estimates are only for installations which is not mentioned upon making this tune up appointment (which is a $70 house call). Fair enough, just misleading none-the-less. Check out the image of the receipt attached. Not one of these services was provided. I will pay for someone's time and travel, but I also expect certain services to be provided - as per the company's own receipt. I would recommend to find a company that offers 1. A more detailed inspection and 2. Offers more clarity in their services provided and cost of estimate. I was definitely taken advantage of. I will be taking my business elsewhere. $70 on a 1 minute peek of my AC is a rip off I am happy to pay for someone's time and expertise, but this to me, was bad business. My 18 year old a/c busted in the middle of summer. I didn't have the cash on hand but thanks to their 0% apr financing offer I was able to replace the whole system. Juan Villa came out to my place to go over all my options. He gave me all the information I needed and didn't know I needed to make the best decision for me. He was also very helpful in in explaining the financing options and got me approved right on the the spot. He was even able to schedule my installation the next day. Great service from him. The following day the installers arrived. Juan Carlos and his partner got here and were very professional. They knew exactly what they were doing and had my place cooling again in about 4 to 5 hours. All in all this was a very positive experience and was impressed by the employees I interacted with. While not a place you visit, Central Comfort definitely provides a service worthy of a review. In fact, anyone in Miami should be using them if they aren't already! I have used Central comfort on three separate occasions, the latest just an hour ago. Each time, I have been provided with service at the scheduled time, by a neat and quick-acting technician, but today took it up a notch. The repairman called to inform me he was on the way 10 minutes after my call to their dispatch office. Within 20 minutes, he was at my door. Quickly diagnosing the problem to not only the AC unit, but a structural integration flaw, where a badly chosen air-inlet grille was allowing no air into the a/c closet due to an internal mesh like a screen window. So while the outside of the air intake looked clean, there was a 'lint trap' behind it. From the inside of the closet, the piece of mesh across in the interior of the door was clear as a bell, so not many people would EVER notice this. Within 15 minutes, my AC was pumping out 58 degree air, my air intake was properly passing air through the door, my freon level was topped off, pressure regained and a new filter was installed. No outrageous prices for service, and especially within an hour, on a Saturday! Thanks Central Comfort, you guys are the best! read more

I hired AC to clean my Split air system, the 1st machine was disassembled and assembled with some professionalism, using a table for this service, but the cover box I washed myself, the 2nd machine was disassembled and mounted on the floor from my building, in the middle of dust and grass, and once again myself and that I washed the cover, this machine was put in place, and after the operation it presented a noise that persists today. I complained several times, and the way they tried to solve the problem was by hitting the machine, obviously that didn't solve the problem, the noise persists, and like a noise of electrical tension, that comes and goes, and that in the silence of at night, it becomes something irritating and it sounds all over the house. I have two more machines alike and none of them have that noise. Here's the tip, watch out for CA, I wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. read more

I used this company twice before I realized this is in fact not a repair air conditioning company. This is a sales company. No repairs are ever offered because in the eyes of the sales individual "you called, they have you, you're a sale- period." A sale will be made and it will not likely be less than $1800.00 usd. (For the bother of making the trip to see your a/c) of course, there is a minimum fee of approximately $150 but by the time central comfort shows up you're pretty desperate and are merely nothing more than a lamb to be fleeced. The worst part is that I suspect they damaged another component of my a/c but due to the nature of the air conditioning system I didn't notice until a few weeks after they installed the unit. I called them and they sent a service person who was so rushed that he merely looked at the machine tweeked it a bit and fled the scene. Long story short the a/c was fine for a short bit and then needed to be repaired/replaced. I should mention that the unit was installed by two brothers who spent the time providing a lesson on their ethics- in short, everyone scams, that's the way it's done because you have to scam before you're scammed. This was the lesson from these two turds working for the company. I was disturbed, but I wanted them to finish the job and get the heck out. To this day I suspect they damaged the part of the unit they didn't replace and just stayed quiet about it. It's not a far stretch considering their ethics. This time I used another company that was recommended by a friend with whom the company has a huge account with. So, it's not likely this new company would dare do any monkey business so as not to risk a bad review falling on the ears of the friend. I'm afraid that's just how one needs to hire these sorts of businesses these days. It's called accountability. read more

I definitely recommend everyone to get price estimates from other companies before you hire central comfort air conditioner. I was having a water leak on the floor of my kitchen , I thought it was coming from my ac unit, called Central Comfort Air Conditioning to check my unit, they said it was from my AC and they had to take it off and clean it , and set up a new base for it , they also said that the unit was very old and I should buy to them a new for $6000. We never had problem with that AC , only the water in the kitchen floor that we though was coming from the ac and they confirmed it . After $1700 and the job done , the water continued on my kitchen floor. The Maintenance from the building came to check, and for our surprise was a leak from the neighbors next door AC unit!!! .... Oh Yeiii !!!! My neighbor called her AC company to check , and the technician from her company just said we were totally robbed !!! Besides the fact there was no leak in my AC unit , they are fixing my neighbor unit and doing to it what Central Comfort Air Conditioning did on mine ( when was not needed it) for $500 !!!! Last summer I had Central Comfort service an old AC system, then eventually put in a new full house system and a mini-split. This week I had them come back to fix the mini split and told them it's the last time we work together. The owner knows this, too, so my review shouldn't come as a surprise. First, these guys are always late. Not a little late. Insanely late. CC's guys have been no less than 3-5 hours late for every single appointment except one. They say 1-2 PM and show up at 5.30, and from 2-5.30 they bullshit you to no end. Just tell the truth -- it's easier than lying. The full-house install last year was bad. The interior air handler is in a tight closet. What can I do -- it's an old house. This lazy guy left big gaps in the connection on top that feeds cool air into the duct system. The result is wasted air and wasted money. He didn't feel like squeezing back there to patch up the gaps, so I called them back to do it better and then ended up finishing the work myself with tape. When they put in the mini-split, they charged me $300 for the install. It was a pretty standard system I bought myself to replace the old one. The guys put it in and never attached it to the wall correctly, so it was leaning forward. I left CC a bad review on Yelp, but Ralph, a tech who no longer works there, texted me calling me a jerk and asking me to take it down. He said installing a unit I bought myself was a "favor." Thanks Ralph. I took the review down because he complained so much. Fast forward to this summer and the mini split is leaking. So a CC guy comes out and fiddles with it for an hour. He sticks a vacuum on the outside end of the drain pipe and gets nothing. It's bone dry. I say the line is clogged, he needs to take apart the inside handler and access the drain pipe to flush it out. I show him a YouTube video. He waves me off and says it'll drain right if it's connected to the wall better, so he sets up an appointment for a "re-install" -- another $300. I called the office and asked why I'm paying for a re-install if they didn't do the work right in the first place. Apparently there's only a 30 day guarantee on the labor. Regardless, the outside compressor is in, the lines are in, the inside wall bracket is in. It's half an install at best. I asked if my 50% deposit could cover the work. They said no. I said take a day to think about it, and if you change your mind I'll give you more business; if not, this is my last service and you'll get a shitty review. Today a two-man team showed up (on time!) and fixed the issue. And surprise -- it was a clogged drain pipe. They did exactly what I saw on YouTube. But I had to pay the other $150, so I effectively paid for a full installation. That's a 6-hour, 2-man job. These guys were here for 90 minutes. So, bye bye Central Comfort. I won't be using you guys again. And I won't be taking down this review. Just be honest, show up on time, and do good work. It's not that hard. read more

I cannot say enough great things about this company! Our motor burned out on the air handler. A very few companies know how to replace this type. After an exhausting search, calling 3 other companies, and getting the run around, finiding this company was a huge relief! Thankfully I found them on yelp and trusted other reviews. From the moment I called the office at 5 pm, I was impressed. The customer service was incredible. The woman on the phone was so pleasant and professional. I told her all the requirements for my condo (license, insurance, etc) needed prior to the appt. She sent it immediately next morning. The technician was schedule for 1 pm that day. He called 30 min prior and was right on time. Very professional and curtious. Able to diagnosis problem quickly. Returned the next day to replace the motor. All went well and charged fair price. That night we heard a vibration sound from the air unit. I called company to leave a message, however, Alex the owner answered the phone. He assured me someone would come by tomorrow to fix it at my convienence. The next morning someone called me from office to schedule. Again, they were so professional and comforting that the sound would be fixed. A new technician came, Carlos, that afternoon. Carlos was wonderful. Such a gentelman and highly knowledgeable about the unit. He was so patient and kind with us. He was able to diagnosis the sound, which was not motor, it was air vibrating on duct work. He returned 2 additional times in same day because sound was still there and needed tweaking to stop it. Owner of company actually came last time to assist him and make sure we were satisfied. We were very impressed and could not be happier. There was no charge for follow up visits. Air unit is now working great and no vibration sound. I highly recommend this company to anyone needing air service. They are the best in Miami! We will definitely be using them again. AMAZING COMPANY! Thank God...there is hope for Miami after all. First of all, the price was great. Second, the guys told us when the part would be available, remained in contact with us, and were accurate on the estimated arrival of it. They also called to say when they were coming two days prior to the actual date of service, AND they were exceptionally punctual!!!! The technicians were exceptionally polite and knowledgeable. They did fantastic work, and were here late on a Friday afternoon. I honestly cannot say enough positive things about this company. I was thoroughly impressed, incredibly happy, and am elated to report that within 20 mins of our tech leaving, my apartment was cold (law school finals next week...not a good time for the AC to stop working). In all seriousness though, this is the best company we have come across regarding any service industry in Miami. I would recommend them to anyone...and furthermore, I will definitely be telling our association about them so that the company can get referrals in the building. Before I share my experience with Central Comfort AC I would like to say that the interaction I had with the owner was very plesant and I cannot speak for the work for the technicians (as we never got that far in the process). The sales guy 'patrick' came to my home as our ceiling was leaking and I believed it to be the A.C. units in the attic. Patrick went up into the attic with me and immediately told me all the equipment was essentially trash and it needed major repair work. For this he quoted me 3000 dollars of maintenance (just labor, no part replacement). He then proceeded to say our machines from 2014 were the "wrong kind" of AC units and if we didnt want major problems in the future all the AC's should be ripped out and replaced with a newer better brand. He said he would "take us from the Flinstones to the Jettsons". Patrick then prayed on our fear of leaks by quoting 10,800 dollars of new equipment (not including ducts or cleaning of the ducts). He told me they have them in stock and can replace them first thing in the morning. Our good family friend owns an A.C. company up north and i read him the invoice for repairs and for the replacements. He immediately told me that the maintenance work is max 4 hours and essentially Patrick was charging me 625 dollars an hour for labor. He also told me that most likely our units from 2014 are fine and Rheem brand is very well respected (it's a sales guys pitch that the manufacturer they carry are better for attics or close to salt water which is all sales crap). Bottom line was that the maintenance work was estimated from two other reputable south Florida companies at about 800 dollars (I ended up paying 725.00 and All in One FOUND and repaired dthe LEAK!). Patrick came by the next morning ready to install the new 11,000 dollar units (replacing a system that was 100% functional amd relatively brand new) and I told him I was no longer interested in doing business with him. He then said "but we purchased all the units already" to which I replied that he told me the day earlier that he had them in stock in the warehouse. So I pointed out that he was either lying to me the day before... or he was lying to my face at that very moment. Within 3 minutes Patrick back pedaled to his vehicle and slithered off without an argument. Bottom line... if there are no part replacements and someone quotes you 4 hours of work at over 600 bucks an hour... RUN for the hills. The owner of the company may be a nice gentleman, but his dishonest and predatory sales guy roaming south Florida is simply a hooligan looking to extort good money from honest people. I saved the invoices and the scope of work to remind myself how dishonest SOME people can be when given a position of power. read more

My a/c was from 1986.... It was dying. Central Comfort came to take a look at it and were very honest in telling me they couldn't repair it. At first, I was a bit upset because other repair services gave me some solutions to keep it running. However, I was glad that they said this because they were honest. They didn't care about making a bunk. They care about me having a working A/C. They gave me a great price to completely replace both the outside unit and the compressor indoor. They even threw some perks in order to make sure I was happy since I would be spending so much money. There's also a 10 years warranty in parts and equipment. They showed up to replace the a/c unit almost the day I called them. They showed up on time and were very, very nice. They were very careful when they removed and replaced the unit. It took them almost all day, but the results were great. It feels like a new house already. About 3 weeks later, one of the fuses blew out. I was very unhappy; however, they were here only a few hours after I called them. They had it fixed in a matter of minutes and things were back to normal. The repair crew checked the entire a/c system wire by wire to be sure it won't happen again. For the inconvenience, they helped me out with some other unrelated issues of the house. Despite the small inconvenience, I still feel like they deserve 5 stars because they are great, polite, and smart people. They clearly know their field, won't charge you a lot of money, and are very honest. You don't see that in such a high-demand business such as a/c repair. read more

Our AC unit started making a really loud sound, so my husband immediately called Central Comfort Air Conditioning. I was surprised and at the same time thankful that they came to check my AC the same day. Irvin Gonzalez was the AC Tech that came to our home. He was very professional and very honest with what was going on with my AC and the options that were available to me cost wise. I say honest because I did my research online on AC repairs and replacement of AC motors and his pricing was fair. The AC motor had to be replaced, however he did not have it on hand but assured me that he would obtain it early the next morning and be at my home to install it right after. Extremely disappointed for selling me a Trane unit that was too big for my small house. It caused much humidity and mildew/mold growing in my bedroom closet. These people could have cared less. They removed one air handler and put in another, breaking the door jam into the closet and making a big mess. They said they would repair and all they did was caulk the mess which ended up coming off again when the damn unit had to be fixed. I ended up with respiratory problems and developed asthma. My dog developed pulmonary problems the year after the unit was installed and had to be put down. About 3 weeks ago I brought a new 1 and 1/2 year old labrador home and she immediately started wheezing when I turned on the heat. That God Damn heat blew so hard and fast and system very loud - it was too much. I ended up taking her to the Animal Hospital to check her out and made decision to remove her from my house. My sister got a company to look at unit that Central Air installed in 2019 and I was told the air handler was too big for the house. A 17 seer 2.5 air handler for 976 sq ft house when I should have only a 14 seer. I got a good company in Hialeah to take the whole damn Trane air handler and outside compressor out of the house. They looked and said the air handler was too big and said they were taking advantage of you. They noticed how the "Central Air Conditioning" company name on a sticker on the air handler had been ripped off so whoever did future repairs wouldn't see their company name. They caught on real quick. I am unbelievably happy and much more comfortable with a smaller central 14 seer air system from Rheem. Much more efficient and this company I am now under contract with is much more professional and knowledgable than the Central Air people who were trouble from day one. The outside compressor that Central Air installed continually dripped water from a hose 24/7 contributing to mold and mildew on the foundation of house and the ground stayed too damp. My Hialeah guys put in a smaller unit that is a better match for my house. Central Air is out to take make a buck and they are shitty as hell to deal with when they know they got you. read more

I called up this company to get an assessment of my A/C unit on my recently purchased home. Mr. Carlos from Central Comfort A/C showed up and charged me $65 for a diagnostic assessment of my A/C system. When he finished, he gave me an unofficial verbal estimate of $1200 +/- 30%, but "I'll send the duct guy to confirm this and tell you exactly what needs to be done", he said before leaving. The duct guy, Lionel, comes in a couple of days later, goes over the duct network of my A/C unit and informs me that a quote for the work that needs to be done will be sent to me. A few more days later and I get an email with an estimate of $3450!!! I e-mail Mr. Carlos with many questions regarding this absurd estimate (please refer to initial verbal estimate). Among my many questions is the fact that the estimate indicates the need for 12 new supply drops and 12 new grills and my home only has 9!!! I am then referred to Mr. Alex Martinez, Lionel's supervisor/boss. He agrees to come over to my home and discuss the estimate with me personally. Mr. Martinez and Lionel show up to my home a couple of days later. After some clarification of the technical details and negotiations over the ridiculous price being asked, Mr. Martinez leaves and agrees to email me a new estimate, a more competitive estimate I guess. Well, after a couple of weeks of waiting for the new estimate I contacted Mr. Alex Martinez. Listen to this...he claims Lionel, his technician, left on vacation just a few days before and that he left without giving him the information for the new estimate!!! Really??? Mr. Martinez claimed that Lionel was going to be out on vacation for the next 4 weeks and that unfortunately he couldn't be reached...so I'm going to have to wait another month for a new estimate. Very disappointed on the work ethic of this company and these guys. How can a supervisor come up with such lies. Who takes two weeks coming up with a new estimate?? If your technician holds the key to coming up with a new estimate, how is he let go on vacation for four weeks without preparing the estimate they promised me?? And then, after the so called 4 weeks of vacation, how is it that Mr. Martinez does not follow up on his promise of a new estimate. What he doesn't know is that I know he was lying. That same week he informed me about his technician being on vacation, I called Lionel (for some reason or another I managed to get his cell phone number)...and you've guessed it! He was working every day of that week in several different projects, was not on vacation, and was not planning on going on vacation anywhere or anytime soon. The only word to describe this company: Dishonest. I had a different company come in and for around $700 fixed the problem with my A/C. read more

I purchased a brand new Trane 3 ton split system from Central Comfort replacing a Carrier unit that had a leaky coil both inside and out. My purchase was retail price and installed promptly and correctly. This company has quality technicians and in my case was of good value in that transaction. The new unit however developed a leak in its coil and had to be replaced on warranty. The initial trouble call sent a technician who found the unit out of Freon, filling it he left knowing there was a small leak. Time went by and again the unit would not cool correctly. My call for assistance was answered with an appointment that Central Comfort Did not keep. I was disappointed in that response , however , eventually Central Comfort , honored its next appointment, and ordered the replacement coil . The company came , and the next morning replaced the coil .The company , if reviewing my machine history, probably knew that my unit would again run out of Freon after a while ,since the small leak had not been repaired. So my initial call should have been enough to alert them to respond on warranty. The actual repair was a couple of weeks after my first call for appointment. The new sales and repair work are done by the same work force and sometimes not scheduled correctly. Central Comfort strives to do that but sometimes requires prodding to meet the demand for its services. I found Alex a very fine competent fellow who understands his business and manages it as best he could. I am thankful for his warranty commitment. read more

Central comfort is reliable and quick they work 24/7 as I called at 10pm on a Sunday and got an answer to have someone at my house next day at 9 am. I unfortunately have had the worst luck finding a reliable and honest air conditioning company as many state to be "licensed" when they aren't indeed and just slap some numbers on the side of a truck. I had recently called a friend of a friends to come and check out my unit as I had been having several issues, come to find out this man came to my house fixed everything for only a 100 dollars to fix the issue...until it stopped working about 2 weeks in. I called central comfort and explained what had happened and how I wanted the problem resolved and I wanted a reason as to why it was happening they sent out one of his technicians who informed me that the work the man before had done was cheap and pretty but it wasn't done properly and gave me a thorough explanation of why. I was pretty upset that I had spent 100 dollars to try and fix this to be told it was done incorrectly but as the saying goes in Spanish "lo barato siempre sale caro" ( the cheap stuff always comes out more expensive). I am here to say I am very content with the professionalism and honesty I was provided with and I couldn't be happier that my air conditioning is working again. read more

Disappointed: 1st day, I'm assured the tech will come between 4 pm and 6 pm, and he shows up at 6:30 pm. He tells us we have to turn off the A/C because it's frozen and he'll be back the next day at 11 am. The next day I get a call from the office telling me the tech will be here between 1 pm and 3 pm, but no one shows. Then I get a message that a different guy from yesterday is coming. Meanwhile, we have no A/C, it's 88 degrees in our house, and we end up waiting until 5 pm before he shows up. I understand being short handed, but not showing up on time for two days in a row is unacceptable, especially when it was 88 degrees inside our house! Then, Yordany Rodriguez comes in, and he's very nice, professional, etc., but explains that we have a leak inside the A/C which will cost $585 to fix. (The A/C is only 3 years old, and apparently the 3 year preventative maintenance program we bought doesn't prevent anything.) Then, Yordany suggested that the pipes going outside be replaced, because they're old and degraded, which will cost around $900. So now we'll be paying the same price we paid for an entire new air conditioner 3 years ago to bring everything up to snuff, which sucks, and I'm still wondering why we paid for preventative maintenance that didn't prevent anything. I previously reviewed this company and gave them a "5" because their techs are always courteous and professional, but now they don't come when they say they're going to, and the prices are unbelievably high. read more

I needed air duct cleaning and called them based on the reviews I saw on yelp. I was quoted $15 per vent for cleaning as part of their "special". Someone came over to my apartment the next day and immediately the price went up from $15 to $25 per vent because apparently, the $15 quote was only for cleaning but not sanitizing.I'm sorry but who would only want cleaning and not sanitizing? Yeah,please clean everything but leave all the germs,thank you... I think full disclosure over the phone would have been better. The man that came counted 8 vents and so we agreed on $200. He looked at my AC unit and was very honest in telling me it was working ok (phew!...relief!), but then he proceeded to try and sell me an $1800 air purification system.I sat down and looked at the 5 minute video on you tube and yeah, it looked and sounded really great but I sure as hell did not have $1800 to spend on that and I told him so.I told him I was already paying more than what he had quoted me over the phone and that that was as much as I wanted to pay.He was pretty insistent and kept saying he was not trying to sell me anything but, being that I have been in sales for over 20 years, I told him he actually WAS trying to sell me something and that thank you, but I was not interested. He finally gave up. The next day I got the visit from Scott, the guy who has going to do the cleaning AND sanitizing. Nice guy,very professional and friendly, he went the extra mile and then some: cleaned and sanitized all of the vents (plus 2 that the previous guy had not counted) and we discovered an old non-functioning vent that was caked with dust that he helped clean up too. Best part of the whole thing was dealing with him. All in all, it was a good experience but my advice is to get a full quote over the phone and be firm if you are not interested in buying anything else. Also, don't clean your house before they come because they do leave some dust and dirt.Best to clean after they leave. read more

I've always used Central Comfort and have never been let down. If it can be fixed on a timely manner it will get done by them. I've had times when the part wasn't available and had to wait, but no big deal. Prices are fair considering I could get it cheaper from some unlicensed worker, but why would I do that. They are licensed and insured and you can count on the work getting done. When you need A/C work done call the best from my experience. To the poster complaining about the price. I understand you but after all, we are paying for knowledge. Otherwise we would be able to diagnose ourselves and do the work ourself. My AC finally died on 4th of July weekend. My regular service company was off the the long weekend so out of desperation I called Central Comfort after searching online. THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME! They came out within an hour as promised, but I already knew that my units could not be saved. They did at least get a blower going and arrived bright and early the next morning with my new units at a better price than my usual repair company. Professional service, cleaned up after themselves. The gentleman who sold me the unit recommended that I purchase a Wi-Fi thermostat at Home Depot that they would install for me at no extra charge. This has been wonderful as I can adjust my AC anywhere using my iPhone. The tech even texted me a month or two later to make sure everything was great. read more

This is the worst AC company I've dealt with. Tech has no experience and rude. They claim to be a Trane Comfort Specialist but all he did was bash on the Trane equipment. He had to pull out a manual and read to be able to diagnose system. Long story short, it was just low on Freon and he wanted to charge me $280 to add some Freon to system. I refused getting ripped off and told him to leave as is and I will go with someone else. read more

Well my AC stopped working and I was desperate and called Central. They were fast and got there before they said they would. The technician was able to diagnose the problem within 5 minutes. He gave me a few options of what I could do to solve the problem. I told him to go ahead and fix the problem. After he completed the job I went online and and check for the part he used. It cost less than $15 dollars online. He took less than 5 minutes to fix the problem and charged me $195. I felt like I was ripped off. Based on the price of the part and the the time he spent fixing the problem I felt like he could have charged me a lower price. read more

My 3 year old, very expensive TRANE A/C condenser fan broke. Central installed this unit, so I called them to repair. They came out and wanted to charge $480 for a 15 minute repair! No kidding. The repair takes 15 minutes to complete, but the charge was a minimum of 3 hours, or $330. Then...even though the part is under warranty, they want to charge $150 for "freight". I looked up the part on the Internet, it retails for $130. I called the manager. He proceeded to start yelling at me! Stay away from Central. They gouge people, not a reputable. read more

My AC stopped working due to the conductor or whatever it was they changed and the guy tried charging me $350.00 for a part that cost around $50, I told him I would not pay that and just pay for him coming out here which still was $100.00 he said he would call his supervisor to see what he can do, and then went on saying that he can't do anything less than $265.00. THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF!! The only reason I called them was the desperate need my 7month old baby wasn't in a good place with all the heat at 7pm. Needless to say I have a friend with a AC business and he unfortunate was unable to make the call to my house due to the fact he was out of town, but I called him and told him what the guy wanted to charge me and he said that they are ripping you off!
