Aware of how difficult to find reputable and honest service in Miami is these days, I was a little concerned when my tenant called and informed me the air conditioning heater wasn't working in the apartment. It was working only last winter I thought, but things break, life happens right. After such short notice and a relatively quick search I decided to try this company based on their one preceding yelp review and the owner's picture, it just seemed honest. They answered on the first call and scheduled an appointment quickly for the following morning and they showed on time just as the prior review noted. Also, as is sometimes customary and required by this company, we agreed on a $65 charge just for showing up and assessing the problem, not all companies provide free estimates and watch out with some of the ones that do I thought. As it turns out, when the repairman arrived I asked him to first try clicking a switch to ON before anything else was done and low and behold, it turned out to be the cause of the problem, it had been switched to OFF. I think I had accidentally switched it OFF months before when replacing the ceiling tiles to newer more modern foam tiles. Although I probably would have been responsible for the fee for canceling the appointment anyway, right then and there I wished I had started checking the heater myself as I had anticipated doing rather than accepting Cuban coffee and chatting with the tenant. However, I was also a bit concerned because I noticed the repairmen clicked the switch to ON and then immediately and inconspicuously back to OFF and I had to ask him a second time to switch it back ON and leave it ON to see if it was the cause of the problem, and also because beforehand he mentioned or identified a number of parts to me as possible issues, most somewhat expensive like a water valve. And so I was responsible for the fee even if it was less than five minutes and it was my suggestion of the problem as opposed to something they had diagnosed. It didn't help it was also my ladder he was using, but a deal is a deal. In conclusion, I think next time I'll try another company as it seemed they could have provided some sort of discount as requested but they didn't. I also didn't feel very confident when I noticed he immediately switched it back to off despite having mentioned a bunch of parts by name and nothing about the switch, you'd think he'd known about that as well. Anyway, good luck. read more
