At that point, it stops feeling like a mistake and starts feeling like a complete disregard for customers and their travel plans. I had already invested time planning my trip and relied on the reservation being honored. Instead, I was left scrambling to find alternative accommodations while rates elsewhere had increased. A confirmation should mean something. Apparently, with Pacific Grove Rentals, it doesn't. What is most concerning is the lack of accountability. Rather than standing behind a confirmed booking and making the situation right, the reservation was simply canceled, leaving me to deal with the consequences. That is not how a reputable vacation rental company operates. The entire experience felt unprofessional, unreliable, and incredibly frustrating. If you value your vacation plans and don't want to risk having your reservation canceled after you've already made arrangements, I would strongly recommend booking with a different company. I informed them that their own website reflected that this property was still available for rent. At this point I was abruptly interrupted and told that they had another important call and wanted to put me hold.
