Before the cleaning, the unit was pretty dusty, and there were stains in the toilet and kitchen that I had personally tried to remove for months. I tried a lot of things but just couldn't get those annoying stains off. A few days before my move-out, I decided to call MasterCare and schedule their cleaning service. The service was excellent. They sent a 2-person cleaning team, and the total cleaning took about 4 hours. They magically cleaned the stains that I couldn't manage to remove after months of effort (seriously, I don't know how they did it lol) They cleaned inside the windows, oven, closets, floors, ceilings, and even areas like behind the refrigerator. Everything was cleaned very thoroughly. After they finished, they asked me to check the unit to make sure everything looked good. When I checked, the floor was clean like a mirror(literally reflective lmao see photo I attached) (no exaggeration). The communication with the cleaning team was also very smooth. They were friendly, professional, and did an excellent job, honestly better than I expected. Given the quality of work they did, I think the price is very reasonable. (Some random and weird thoughts: I'm a CS student doing research in AI and robotics, and watching them clean actually made me think that it would be pretty hard to design a robot or RL algorithm that could match their level of cleaning expertise lol +1 point to the human team) After the cleaning, my property managers inspected the unit and said it looked great, so it seems like I'll be getting my full deposit back, which I'm very happy about. I also had great communication with Linda, the company's manager. She is efficient, responsive, and professional, and the whole communication process was very smooth. I enjoyed communicating with her. So, if you live in Isla Vista or near UCSB and need a move-out cleaning, I personally recommend MasterCare

Understandable, and now the assistant knows they can handle instances like this on their own if management is not available. Bit of trust restored and mistakes happen. Original post: I hired Master Clean USA for a move-out cleaning to save time, reduce stress, and hopefully help secure my deposit back. The place was already pretty clean and while they did a good job on the bathroom, the rest of the house was poor and felt rushed and incomplete. The areas under, behind, and on top of the stove and refrigerator were left untouched, even though I specifically requested those spots to the cleaners on site and the rep on the phone, I was assured they'd be cleaned and that they were covered areas in the cleaning I purchased. In addition the windows were only half done, with dirt left in the inner frames, and the baseboards--especially in corners and high-traffic areas--were poorly cleaned with easily visible dust and dirt still left behind. The cleaners finished in less time than estimated, left early, and I was still charged at the higher end of the quoted range. When I came back to tip them for their work I saw this and unfortunately had to buy my own cleaning supplies afterward and re-clean these areas myself. I also documented everything with photos. What made the situation so much worse was the lack of follow-up from the company. Despite contacting Master Clean three separate times and being promised a call back from management to resolve it, I never received one call. At this point 3.5 weeks after, I can't recommend their work.

The best part of working with them is that they are reliable, can usually make schedule changes with short notice, and are EXCELLENT with communication. They are professional in every way, and the quality of the work I've observed is 1st class. I've dealt with most every job superintendent, and the department they've set up to provide service to their customers long after the initial project is complete. The other reviews I've read here are petty. Really, an employee almost ran over your foot? Common knowledge, when walking around trucks of any kind don't assume they can see you. didn't your mother teach you look both ways before crossing the street? Same goes for a parking lot. Assume these work trucks have limited visibility. You have the audacity to give a company a one-star Yelp review because you can't look where you're going? And as for the fellow that complained about the poor fit, and knowing it was a poor fit prior to D.D. Ford meeting with him. As a courtesy, he could at least given them a better review for their time. Small companies rely on these reviews to help attract new business. They specifically agreed to put the new unit where I wanted it in the attic, I got NOTHING of the kind. They just stuck where it was easiest/quickest for them. When I balked, THE OWNER'S snap reply was that the person representing him at the time was no longer with them. Now it is almost impossible to access the furnace. They ran the furnace exhaust pipe to a completely different roof vent, again, one that was easier. The FILTER HOUSING was BOTCHED - they put in using sheet larger head metal screws that PROTRUDED INTO THE FILTER HOUSING such that the replaceable pleated filter's frame was crushed. An air diverter was put on the wall without using the new painted screws; instead they used fugly sheet metal screws AND screwed them in so tight the register doesn't set flat on the wall. Their attention to detail (of the littlest things) were impressive. There is always a moldy space water collects behind the sink. Every cleaning service i've ever hired has never come close to cleaning it. I try and still does very little. I can home to the area clean, bleached and bright white. My husband and I were blown away. We will be getting a monthly service with them from now on!
