I have used this company lots over the past few years and they are always prompt, friendly and know exactly where they should be going. I know that should always be the case with taxis but in London it's a rare thing when it comes to mini cabs. Even when other companies have quoted me an hour to get to me these fellas have said 'no problem' and been there in 10 minutes. At the London Field Day festival, they helped me and my friend get home for a snip of the cost of the other places near Victoria Park and we only wait about 15 minutes. They are good if you are a single female traveling too. Thank you Diamond Taxis - you are my favorite!

To be fair, they are good for local pick ups and drop offs. and actually good for going to airports. but their problem is the pick up from the airport plus the very arrogant attitude of some drivers, one of them definitely had some anger issue! Last week I booked a cab from abroad to be picked up from heathrow. when I arrive at the baggage reclaim, the cab driver calls me and says that he is going to take another 30 mins. I'm actually a patient person so I just said ok. I go out to the arrival and call the driver after 30 mins, he said that he will be late for another 5-6mins, and tells me to come to the 'drop off' area, which I had no idea where it was. I asked around dragging my suitcase, but no one seemed to know, so I waited outside the arrival near the taxi area for another 15 mins. still no sign of my cab turns out that the driver didn't have any credit on his phone and couldn't call me. very professional. I found out that he was on the departure level drop off. I had to go 3 floors up, he is still not there, takes him another 5 mins to appear in front of me. He did apologies but the tone of his voice is not especially sorry and just made excuses rather angrily. His driving was dangerous, rough and speeding way to fast. I expected some sort of discount, as I waited almost 1 HOUR after an 13 hour flight and used my mobile to call the driver about 5 times. but he refuses to give any discount. I called the office and they spoke to the driver, tells him to give me 2 POUNDS off. I thought they were joking but they were dead serious. I lost my energy to argue and just paid him 45 pounds that he did not deserve. When I turned away, I could hear him saying something rude to me. very disappointing as a loyal customer NEVER EVER AGAIN.

They also decided to be rude to customers literally shouting at them and telling them they wouldnt get a cab for asking simple questions while in the queue. This was all while there were free public options and some black cabs around. Luckily, while waiting, I met a couple of people to share a cab home making the individual price the normal price. On the sheer principle of being rude to customers I would urge people to consider other options before booking through this company.

    The vet gave me the number to this company when I needed to take my cat there on a regular basis…read more The booking person is very helpful, once they have your details on record they know that I will have a cat with me, without me having to tell them each time (this was not the case with another cab company nearby.) I have never had a driver who would try to renegotiate the fee with me during the journey to the destination (this has happened at the aforementioned another cab company nearby.) Mare Street Cars drive me to the destination and stop at the side of the road that I ask them to and don't moan about life in the UK (a lot of minicab drivers do!) I will continue to use them for my visits to the vet (with my cat of course.)

Signed, sealed delivered -- I'm yours, United Carriage! Looked up on Yelp app. Called quickly. Friendly operator. Car ordered. Car sent. Text confirmation. Car arrives 8 minutes later. Text confirmation. Clean, nice car (Mercedes). Nice, polite driver. Arrive at destination safely. 8 quid. Super great experience, I'll definitely be calling these guys again when I need a car service!

Since that time I've used United at least half a dozen times and I've given them out to friends. Basically, I like them because: * When I call up, they identify me by name, apparently I'm on some screen somewhere that says I'm a regular customer (or so I'd like to think) * Their prices are WAY lower than a black cab, and very competitive compared to other car services. * The drivers are nice; they don't always know the way but that's what GPSes are for (I would like to point this out to the black cab drivers, who with their elitist mentality don't realize memorizing London maps is dépassé) . * They've been reliable, except for one incident where I got the runaround after extreme lateness of the driver. I forgave them because I once gave them the runaround and they didn't get annoyed. As long as they retain their level of service, they'll have a loyal customer/reviewer...

I called customer support and they wouldn't help without my booking number, which just wasn't handy at the sidewalk pickup spot. I found the driver's phone number in the app, and called him for his status. All he said was "traffic man, what can I do" then hung up on me. When he did arrive he was clearly in no hurry, almost intentionally, despite how close we were to departure time. It is apparent that these folks don't care. A very similar thing happened on my last trip with them. They used to be dependable, but no more. I recommend finding another option for car service.

I had prebooked a taxi with your company to take me and my 80yr old disabled mum to the emirates stadium as we were going to see Robbie in concert. I knew transport was going to be issue so chose what I thought was a reputable company, how wrong was I, to PREBOOK and PAY for our journeys to take the STRESS out of the evening, ensuring we would be able to safely get back to our hotel at the docklands. The pick up journey taking us to the Emirates from the docklands, was amazing and the driver was super helpful and professional and I thought I'd definitely made the right choice in booking with your company. However how wrong could I be.  We arranged to meet the taxi at Holloway station at 0004 as it gave us enough time to exit the stadium and ensure we could get to the collection point in plenty of time. When it got to 0004 I called the office after fighting past an automated bot to speak to a call handler to ask where our taxi was, as I hadn't had any correspondence from your company since I made the booking, yet for the pick up I had messages to let me know my driver was on their way etc. This woman stated that they didn't have a driver available for our pick up and would keep us updated. Now if I had been calling to book a taxi immediately that made perfect sense, BUT I had PREBOOKED & PAID for collection at 0004. when I asked the call handler what she meant she said, we dont have any drivers free for your booking. Now again this was PREBOOKED on the 6th June 24 hrs before we needed the taxi.  I explained that this was for an 80yr disabled lady with a mobility scooter hence why I PREBOOKED so that the vehicle could take the scooter. I then got told to make my own provision to get back to my hotel. So your company were happy to leave 2 women, one of which is 80yrs and disabled, to find their own way across London in the middle of the night.  I dont understand how you can get away with scamming people to pay upfront for a PREBOOKING then just not fulfil the booking.  I will be sharing this awful experience all across.my social media and especially the disability groups advising them to never use use your company as its appalling that your staff treated an 80yr disabled person like this, what if it was their mother or nan who had been left stranded, would they have been happy. Your company was willing to leave 2 females stranded in London, at that time of night with no care at all, but of course why would you when you had my money in your bank already.
