    Chocolate cream horn
    John B.

I briefly stopped into this bakery, mainly because the town's most prominent restaurant was unsurprisingly packed. It had a very old-timey vibe and indulgent, saccharine baked goods. I elected to take a chocolate cream horn to go, which was more subtle than some of their options, but still quite indulgent. The inside was as creamy as the outside was flaky. I couldn't accuse them of delivering anything other than what they offer.

Still as amazing as always! Whenever people are asking for recommendations on things to do while visiting Asheboro, Central Bakery is always my first suggestion.

THESE. ARE. MY. PEOPLE. They had icing pops. Icing. Pops. ICING. JUST ICING. In a push up pop. Why bother with the extraneous stuff when you can go straight for the goods? Well because the other stuff looked really good too. Got a couple of snowballs (tastes like childhood to me!), couple of sand dabs, small chocolate chip sandwich cookies, an m&m sandwich cookie and a Christmas tree cookie, the last 2 being for my kiddo so I can't speak to those other than to say they're very pretty. Of the cookies, the snowballs were my fave but all were good. I saw another review that talked about the cakes and that they could pick out the bakery's cakes by tasting the icing. To that I say, the icing tastes like what the Sweet Shoppe in High Point uses - and that's not a bad comparison at all! The prices were very reasonable as well. The most expensive thing was the icing pop at $3 (and well worth it!!). Got out for under $12 with everything. It sure is a good thing this bakery is 30 minutes away from home and not right down the street...but it will be a new go to when visiting Asheboro! "Hey honey, don't we need to go to Asheboro for something??"

There were a couple of standout items at this Asheboro bakery. The cheese bites simply melt in your mouth. They are light in texture, similar to cheese straws, but they practically dissolve on your tongue. They've got a great sharp flavor and highly addicting. If you're thinking of getting a dozen, get more! You'll eat 12 by yourself. The other star of the show was the Cinnamon Crisp which has flaky layers that are softer in the middle. Goes great with a cup of coffee. We got a bunch of other stuff, but these two are worth making a trip to get.

Little, simple bakery in downtown Asheboro. We stopped in here for some sweet treats after having lunch; this is one of the very few bakeries in this area. We decided on chocolate chunk, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies as well as an M&M cookie on a stick and a chocolate sundae treat. I loved the oatmeal raisin cookie; the raisins were plump & juicy and the brown sugar & cinnamon flavor was just perfect. The chocolate chunk cookie was not a favorite from two people in our party but everything else was good. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back considering I don't live near this particular area but it was a good experience. Friendly service and average pricing. Thank you!

Central Bakery makes the BEST cakes and cookie cakes! We order ALOT of cakes every year because we have alot of birthdays!! The cakes are always so moist, delicious and look amazing! We have tried other places but we would always end up coming back to Central Bakery. The freshness of the cake and the staff just make the business the best bakery in Asheboro! We will be forever customers!

Here is the summary of my experience here: 1) Ambiance 5/5: Cheerful contemporary inviting vibe. The seating is limited but I believe this is mostly a to-go coffee place. There is a couch and about 4-5 2-seater tables 2) Service 5/5 - The service was delightful. I had few questions about the bagels being vegan and they patiently heard and found out about it. Good news - Most of the bagels are vegan :). The girl in the front taking orders was very patient and helpful 3) Food 6/5: I am neither a fan of bagels not do I like coffee but I got them both. Here is the review: a) Iced Vanilla Latte - I did not want to have it but when I took a sip from my wife's cup, I was forced to get myself one too coz it was really good. b) Blueberry Bagel with cream cheese - This was another hit. Great bagel and cream-cheese. FYI - I am not a bagel connoisseur so I might be wrong but I loved the taste. 4) Value for Money 5/5 - Totally worth it in my opinion. If I am ever back in town or anyone is tired of waiting in line for the Table, ditch it and instead come here The Good: 1) Ambiance 2) Service 3) Iced vanilla latte 4) Bagels (they are mostly vegan) Not so Good: 1) They dont have sandwiches. 2) You need to toast your own bagel

I've had a Moroccan Tea, a Chai Tea, an Oolong Tea, Farmhouse Chicken Salad and Pimiento Cheese that they sell in containers from inside the case, too many different kinds of cookies than I dare to admit, and a few slices of their standard cheesecake. The cookies are amazing. But it's the cheesecake that keeps me coming back. The cheesecake and the chicken salad actually. Both are divine but the cheesecake is the best I've ever had and I highly recommend it. Service behind the counter is always pleasant, professional and speedy. The vibe is almost goth but it's darling and whimsical and clean. Im a repeat customer for as long as I'm in the area.

Experience: I had an amazing experience relaxing here on a road trip, but I think I ordered all the wrong items, I need a do over to try savory foods and tea that I love. I didn't want to say anything because the servers were so sweet. I ordered a Secret Garden tea iced, and I think that was my first mistake, it wasn't steeped long enough before it was iced so it was super bland. I'm used to making super strong teas. My husband had a delicious earl grey that I shared with him. We also ordered the cornbread cookie and the black and white to split, and even though they were beautiful, they were too sweet for us. We will try the savory pastries or sandwiches next time, I'm convinced we just didn't order the right things for us. Can't wait to come back one day, this spot is gorgeous.

My church was sponsoring a blood drive and decided to do subs and baked goods for our donors and the Red Cross staff. We wanted to use a local bakery so we did our research as there are several in nearby towns I decided to give Roccas a try. I called in and spoke with the owner herself who was very courteous, soft spoken, and informative as well as very very detailed ( just what I wanted ). She made some great suggestions we went with 4 dozen cupcakes as well as three dozen cookies. The red velvet and strawberry cupcakes were delicious on every level. They were moist and had just the right amount of icing and the icing was of course melt in your mouth good not overwhelmingly sweet. The chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal cookies were huge well I actually think every cookie should be this big . They too were moist and delicious. Okay all my oatmeal cookie lovers I'm not so sure what she puts in these but I'm convinced it's magic . I saved one for my husband ( but I ate it on the way home ... I had good intentions and figured he really didn't know what he was missing. ) Now let's talk price she had amazing prices on these fresh baked goods and she offers a discount to all first responders ( in honor of her son who was a firefighter). Let's be honest during these tough times these guys and girls definitely deserve a sugar rush and what a "sweet way" to say thank you . She also had special offers for large orders for events such as mine. Make sure to place your order early with her as she stays busy and will need to put you on the schedule. The inside of this bakery is exactly what a bakery should be everything is displayed beautifully. It's decor is so cute and cozy and the smell well it's just delicious! Give Her a try you'll be pleased .
