I had to park on rhe street and pay for parking. When I entered, there was no signs with directions on where or how to sign in. After seeing people at a kiosk I figured that out. After that the process was really smooth. My wait time was about 20 minutes. It took me about 5 minutes at the window. I was just surrendering an old tag. I would recommend this business.

They pointed out that a had a few debts that had to be squared out before I can renew anything.......without a hesitation i resolved the pending debts and then I was told that I had to call the Hollywood city hall building and ask them to email send confirmation via fax to Baumgardner Tag Agency.....I was told by the phone over in Broward I had to go physically and get the confirmation paper. I didn't understand if if I completed my duty and payed the fees that needed to be taken care of why do I have to t drive to the other county for confirmation that I payed an old parking ticket. I didn't feel like it was my duty to call the Hollywood city hall and request them to send anything anywhere. That should've been the duty of the agency that was trying to get confirmation that everything was set and paid for. So I asked for the manager to see if she can go ahead and make that call and save me trip. Then I was told by an employee that the manager was busy and help me and that I needed to drive over to the next county ( with an expired tag) and come back with a STOP RELEASE paper for the paid parking ticket so they can go ahead and grant me the renewal. I didn't understand why the Tag Agency didn't want to contact Broward themselves confirm that's it's payed and take my money. Now they lost a customer because I sure wasn't going to drive back down this same Tag agency to renew anything at this point. There's a hundreds of other tag agency I could use to renew a tag. I do admit the wait & process was quick here, the quality of service was not up to the highest standards but they did try to help but I don't think they wanted to do any business with me. I recommend this place if you have all your debts and proper documents to get anything resolved but I won't be returning to this Auto Tag Agency for anything.

They recently updated their hours back in March 2025 to 9am - 5pm. Your wait can be anywhere between 5 minutes and 2 hours depending on how busy they are and they do not take appointments. Afternoons seem to yield a shorter wait time. The hold up is usually because people bring the wrong documents or have multiple vehicles to inquire about. The clerks are helpful once you get to them. If your situation is a bit complicated you may need to wait until a manager becomes available but they will help you as much as possible or explain why they can't. They accept debit and cash payments. If you need to speak with someone that is multilingual, please have your translator app available because most of the clerks are not. Too many times have I seen someone walk up to the clerk speaking another language, the clerk lets them know they do not speak that language, and the customer just stares at the clerk like the clerk did something wrong.

Besides the mandatory fee from the state of Florida, there's also a service charge by the agency as well as for using a credit card.

What I don't agree with Aventura Auto Tag using this as an opportunity to price gouge unsuspecting customers. I paid $25 to renew my husband's handicap sticker. I didn't check what I was being charged for until I left and looked at the receipt. $4.50 for renewal, $3.50 for photocopies, (I provided the copies from what they told me I needed for renewal) $7.49 for plastic handicap cover (I didn't ask for it, I thought they were just giving it as a courtesy like they did 4 years ago when I came here), $3.50 disabled person verification, and $6.50 to call doctor's office to verify that he signed the paperwork. I know it's a racket out here but to use this opportunity to enrich your company is shameful. I won't be returning. The only positive about this experience is the young lady who assisted me was great, with a great smile and so very friendly.
