She made the entire process seamless and stress free. We met with her once a month for 1 hour which allowed us to stretch out the decisions without getting overwhelmed. Also, she is extremely knowledgeable and well connected in the Indy area so choosing vendors was a breeze. Even for the times that I had bride freakouts, Emily was always available to ease my worries. Fast forwarding to the day of the wedding, all of our guests were so impressed by how smooth our wedding was and that everything was well communicated and on time! It was absolutely a pleasure to work with her and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.

Emily and her team pivoted so well to get everything moved in, blamed my daughter who had her heart set on an outdoor bar and dinner...Emily was grace and calm personified. There were plenty of little adjustments made all day, but Emily IS the best and hires the BEST assistants, so that it became a beautiful day to remember...and no one got stung! The parking lot is pretty spacious. The entry point is nice, and suitable for your traditional wedding. The only thing I have to say, of which I should have taken a picture of, was that I didn't care for the ceiling. The ceiling was black, and I mean PITCH black! You would have to have some other type of decorative lighting, which they did, in order to provide an elegant atmosphere to your wedding. The actual banquet hall itself where the reception was held was exactly how it should have been. The lighting was exceptional, and the flooring was nice as well, although I feel there could have been more dance floor space because you know people like to boogie or shake that booty, ya know?....lol. All in all, if you have a wedding that is light featured, then I would choose Adaggio's specifically for that reason alone, but also because you can have a really nice reception just across the hall. It was a nice day, and I would recommend anyone ready to tie the knot, to go to Adaggio's in Greenfield, IN @ 5999 Memory Lane...It won't be forgettable!!

When my now-husband and I first started planning our wedding, neither of us wanted a traditional…read morereception hall. That is, until we realized the time and expense needed to transform a nontraditional venue into one suitable for a reception. A couple at a random dinner tasting steered us to Adaggios and I'm so glad we did. They offer a per-person pricing model, which included dinner, basic linens, basic beverages and the DJ. Really, all we needed was the cake, although we chose to upgrade the bar package through the venue and then added more decorations and chair covers through our wedding planner. Bottom line, weddings are expensive. But in the end, we heard nothing but compliments and it looked really nice -- and personalized to our taste. I was concerned about it being outside of the 465 loop but, really, it was a 20 minute drive from our ceremony at the State House and really easy to find. Thanks to their arrangements with local hotels, we had a great rate AND a free ride to/from the ceremony in the hotel shuttle van. Not the most glamorous ride but every penny counts!

The venue is advertised as all-inclusive, but there are very limited options when it came to things like dinnerware and decor. Our wedding colors were ivory, gold, and various greens, yet the disposable dinnerware was black with silver plasticware, and the china was white. We had to purchase our own plates, bowls, gold plasticware, and 80 goblets to match our tablescape. After the wedding, we were told all of our unused items had been placed in a box for us. Instead, we received one dirty plate, bowls, and spoons. There were no goblets and no clean dinner or cake plates. We had a guest count of around 60, we purchased 80 of each thing. We should have had 20 extra of each plate, and 20 extra goblets, and none were to be found. After contacting them, they eventually shipped some items back. Including two plates, two goblets, our napkins, and one fork. Yes, you heard that right. They individually wrapped a plastic fork. Very petty if you ask me. The DJ experience was also extremely disappointing. We had multiple meetings where we clearly communicated that we wanted an upbeat, energetic wedding with guest engagement. During the ceremony, my entrance song ended while I was still walking down the aisle, the officiants' microphones repeatedly cut out, and our exit music was barely audible. The DJ and coordinator had different entrance orders, causing confusion. During dinner, the DJ played techno when we had specifically requested swing music and she even told my mom she didn't know what swing music was. During dancing, there was little to no engagement with the guests, and we were later told this was the DJ's first wedding (by the Dj herself) We also discovered food, wine, ink stains and rips on multiple linens while steaming them ourselves before the wedding day. (Yes, they don't steam their linens. They are creased horribly) Thankfully, we caught them before the wedding began and they were replaced. Our decor options were also very limited. We were told that if we wanted to incorporate calla lilies (our wedding flower) we would have to donate them to the venue. We did so, only to have them mixed into other flowers where they were barely noticeable. We ended up decorating our own head table to make it better fit our wedding. The bridal and groom suites also did not have private bathrooms, and those bathrooms only had air dryers, which could cause spotting with satin dresses. Approximately a week after the wedding, my parents were contacted and told that the final payment check they had already provided (a month before the wedding) was missing, supposedly lost by the bank. Having to deal with a missing payment after the wedding was over was another unnecessary stress. Finally, the venue is directly next to the family's mortuary. We were completely unprepared to see our wedding names displayed on the outdoor screen as "Congrats! Jonah & Kaitlynn. Jones Family Mortuary." That was an incredibly uncomfortable surprise that we absolutely would have wanted to know about before booking. We understand that no wedding is perfect, and we are not expecting perfection. What we did expect was professionalism, communication, attention to detail and honesty. And upon explaining all of these issues to Olivia and Tricia, we were told that they got told completely different things. Showing that there are dishonest people working for them. Unfortunately, there were too many issues before, during, and after our wedding for us to recommend this venue based on our experience. Our wedding was still beautiful because of our family, friends, and the memories we made together. But if we could choose our venue again knowing what we know now, we would make a different choice.

They were also great about checking-in with us and making sure we knew what to expect. After speaking with friends/relatives, we may have been able to find a cheaper option. On the other hand, the reception went amazingly smoothly; we really felt like the overall tone of the night reflected us as a couple; and everyone, family and friends included, seemed to have a great time! Lots to do downtown Indy. While this still holds true, I have noticed a decline lately. With Circle…read moreCenter Mall closing, we are definitely missing out on a lot of tourist dollars. They do shop while in town. At least we still have plenty of restaurants, hotels and entertainment venues. However, the streets are looking quite unkempt anymore and the closed businesses don't help our overall picture. I hope we can recover from the current decline.

I have not been to downtown Indianapolis for over 8 years and was shocked to see what this city has…read morebecome. Parking and getting around is very easy. There is so much to do downtown. We went to a concert at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and was close to bars, restaurants and shopping. Very impressed with this city and will want to come back and visit. Montage on Allison Pointe is an event venue operated by the Kahn's Catering family that is located…read morejust west of 82nd and Allisonville Road in the Allison Pointe complex. It's a waterside facility with four distinct special event rooms with each having private entrances and patios. This is valuable as it allows your own event to have a sense of privacy as was the case today when Heartland International Film Festival hosted its awards ceremony in one of the larger rooms while a wedding held an event in another area and had their own private entrance. You can tell this facility has undergone some renovations. It's also one of the more wheelchair friendly event venues I've been to in Indy. The front entrance has a row of accessible parking spots, and I mean truly accessible, and nearly every place I went to in the venue was easily accessed in my wheelchair. While the speaker's podium wasn't accessible, and I was one of the speakers, there's really no way to know if this was because of the actual venue or if it had been mentioned by the event. However, because the microphones could be easily hand-held it was a minor issue and easy to overcome. They offer a sensory technology AV system, exclusive catering, exclusive bartending, and more. Every event rental includes both 60" and 72" round tables, 6' and 8' banquet tables, decorative banquet chairs, china, glassware and silverware, tall and short cocktail tables, and simple silver centerpieces. Weddings also include a dance floor and an easel for escort boards. Enhancements include the AV equipment, coat check service and other items. Every event space has the water view - it's stunning. The event spaces include The Champagne Room, The Riesling Room, The Chardonnay Room, and the Cabernet Room. They also have a garden available for rental and you can rent the entire facility. The majority of the packages include catering minimums. The rooms are exquisite - elegant and formal, yet comfortable and fun. The patios, as near as I could tell, were all easily wheelchair friendly and the facility actually advertises accessibility. The main entrance is level to the ground. If there's one area where I'd poke a little bit of fun, it's in their online brochures - I found about a half dozen obvious typos in one document. I'd advise getting those fixed as it truly is a reflection of not being detail oriented and for a higher-end event space that's not the message you want to send. The staff? They were attentive, friendly, and super efficient without ever being invasive. While I didn't have a ton of food since I was speaking, what I did have was excellent. Overall, I was super impressed and would easily return. I'm always excited when an event space or luxury space goes out of the way to ensure accessibility and such is the case at Montage. With plenty of space options, this is a terrific venue option for weddings, special events, workshops, awards ceremonies or just about anything else you can think of in the corporate/organizational world.
