I also heard his wife did this to other customer as well. Bad for business! I would keep the wife home! He is losing customers because of her.

Last night when I started it, the check engine light came on, and a whole host of other dash lights were quick to follow. Early this morning, I took it to my local garage to get the code scanned, and much to my dismay, it was the dreaded TCV... So around 8:30 this morning, I brought her in to Quirk Subaru to have them take a look and assess it for warranty coverage. As luck would have it, Mat F. let me know that I happened to still be just under the 5y/60k power train warranty at 57,853 miles (can I get an amen...), and the repair was covered in full. Not only did they cover the repair, but my vehicle was also finished and ready to be picked up by 3:30pm. Outstanding turnaround, and I've never experienced a simpler transaction. Thanks again!

Brakes are supposed to last 30,000-60,000 miles. The front brakes that weren't replaced by Quirk lasted 80,000 miles, which is a good indication of my senior driving style. Quirk and National Subaru essentially said "too bad", the warranty was 1 year. I hope there will be a the class action suit to reimburse consumers for the crappy brakes Quirk and perhaps other Subaru service depts. are using. For this reason, I would not recommend Quirk for brake replacements.
