Specialized in elementary school art education, Ashley encourages kids to explore all kinds of art media. My daughter learned to use chalk, acrylic, oil color in the summer camp. Ashley is very nice too. My daughter likes her a lot. We were thrilled when Ashley told us she opened an art studio. The new studio is located in a business park, very clean and tastefully decorated. The tuition is very reasonable. $20 for Saturday morning session and $30 for the evening session. She also provide week day evening classes. If you are looking for an art teacher in the NW Greensboro area, I recommend you check out Ashley's studio first.

I found sprouts right after Covid and had always seen it and knew that it would be where I would want my daughter to go afterschool. I was so glad when they were able to pick up from my daughter's school since my husband works crazy hours and I needed to work and could not get her directly from school. It has been one of the best choices I have made for my daughter and my family. They make every child feel seen and heard and support them with their schoolwork and tutoring even . As I have grown to know them over the years my daughter feels "at home" there and I feel like I have been supported as a mother as well. If you are looking for a "family" nurturing atmosphere for your child look no further than sprouts. I would recommend them time and time again and can not say enough good things about this business

A Greensboro Classic, Fun for Kids and Adults Alike!…read more I've attended a few of the adult-only events (On-Tap, 90s Night) and a couple of standard visits to the Miriam P. Brenner Children's Museum, and they are always such a treat! It's so much fun to explore the exhibits without kids around and enjoy the playful, creative atmosphere. The museum was the first children's museum in the Triad and still features some of its original exhibits -- including the iconic big red chair, which is a total photo favorite! During regular hours, the museum is perfect for kids ages 0-12, with hands-on learning and interactive play spaces that spark curiosity and imagination. But my personal favorite -- the Neptune Climber XXL -- is definitely for all ages! It's an amazing structure that brings out everyone's inner child. I mean it is 2 stories high. The staff is friendly, the events are well-organized, and the museum continues to be a special part of Greensboro. Whether you're bringing little ones or attending an adult night, this place never fails to bring smiles and good memories.

Inside you will find life size vehicles for children to explore such as a real fire truck, police car, big rig, race car and ambulance. They even have a section of an airplane for kids to sit inside. It's a great place for children to use their imagination and get up close to the cars and trucks they enjoy playing with at home. There is also a pretend grocery store, pizza parlor, play house, construction site and doctors office. The toddler area allows free play for littles and is enclosed. Another section of the museum also has a water station. Outside you'll find a garden with a mud kitchen, fruits and vegetables, as well as a chicken coop. The additional outdoor section is a massive climbing area with ropes for dayzzzz. The staff is so friendly and they just started implementing a frequent visitor pass. I believe after 5 visits you get free admission. You can get a punch card at the front desk. I thought that was neat, and also encourages families to visit again. It's the least stimulating museum we've visited and much more enjoyable than the Kaladieum in Winston salem which has TV's and screens everywhere. Though this museum is geared towards a younger crowd, it's nice that parents have a place to bring children that sparks imagination, creativity and can be a break from the constant exposure of electronics that younger kids are so often drawn towards.

Their Beyond Academics program is a scam because it's just modifications. More like Beyond…read moreAnnoying! Anyways... When I was 20 years old (this was in the spring of 2017, BTW), my parents and I toured the university. I was still in high school at the time (I'm autistic in case you are not aware). I had a mental breakdown on the car ride home to Candler because I felt inconvienced by the whole thing. The tour guides were nice, but that's literally the only good thing I have to say. UNC Greensboro, you are the reason why I have no faith in the post-secondary educational realm! You're damn lucky I didn't end up in the mental hospital because if I did, you punks will pay for putting me through a lot of pain! Now that I'm older and wiser (I'm 26, BTW), I should've reconsidered touring the place. I hope the Beyond Academics program gets shut down and I hope the person in charge of the program gives up his or her position. BOTTOM LINE, NEVER EVER SET FOOT AT THIS PLACE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE FOR ALL I CARE! I DEMAND YOU APOLOGIZE TO ME RIGHT NOW!

"Ew, why are you writing a review for a university?"…read more"Because I can, so shut your trap." I went here for undergrad and I had such a great experience, minus 2 of the roommates I had who became sudden haters overnight. Well, that means I did something right ;) This university is very diverse for one that is in the south. Yes, I said it. There were always events going on, the apartments on campus are really nice, convenience stores the best on campus ones I've seen, the financial aid office was top notch, and the teachers I had were personable and I was able to talk to them and they didn't have a God complex when they had Ph.D's. I have nothing but 85% good memories about college & made great friends I will have for life. The city of Greensboro itself? Meh. VERY little nightlife, eateries, and events compared to NYC. But if you're with people who you can have fun with regardless, the surrounding area is an added bonus OR an obstacle that you will tackle. The End.

Perhaps you want a week without the kids causing a ruckus in the house. Maybe you want to find a…read moreprogram that gives your child leadership skills. Or maybe you just need to send your kid somewhere while you're at work during the dog days of summer. Look no further, Camp Weaver is definitely the best option for you in the Triad area. Spanning across over 100 acres of property, camp has a plethora of options of things that your child can do, so that they can make themselves at home. There is surely an activity for every kid, playing sports, doing arts and crafts, swimming at the lake, and much, much more! And, although Camp Weaver advertises themselves as an outdoor camp, their facilities are equipped with air conditioning and electricity to make your child's stay exciting, yet comfortable. The staff also do a great job promoting a sense of community at camp, and have a collective mission to make each child's experience at camp the best they could possibly have. I would like to highlight Camp Weaver's leadership camps. As a former participant of these programs, I can say that I grew as a leader via the leadership camps, and I can attribute much of my maturity and growth to these programs. These multi-week camp sessions throw campers into situations where they are forced to work together, which teach them valuable soft skills, which they could carry with them into the future. I would highly recommend the Leaders in Training program at Camp Weaver as a way to give your child a fun experience at camp, while also exposing them to a program where they can achieve personal growth. Overall, Camp Weaver is absolutely the best place to send your kid for camp. They will get to try new things, meet new people, grow as individuals, and truly have the experience of a lifetime.
