One Thirteen Brewhouse + Rooftop Bar - Roof top view

One Thirteen Brewhouse + Rooftop Bar

The downstairs area is the main music hall, with a legit stage, a large bar, and plenty of open room. The second level features a cocktail and whiskey bar, along with a separate lounge style room filled with leather couches and chairs. The third and fourth levels both offer outdoor space, with the third floor having its own bar and the fourth providing additional seating and city views. It's a great mix of spaces for pretty much anyone. The music really stole the show this evening. I arrived early and snapped a few photos before the crowd rolled in. Dear Sister rocked tonight. What an excellent cover band! I'll be seeing them often whenever they roll into town. The only thing holding this from being a 5 star night was the service. It was decent but noticeably slow even before the crowd showed up. Once things got busy, it became very hard to grab a drink or get anyone's attention, which is typical for a packed place but still worth noting. Overall, this is a super fun spot with great music and tons of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. I'll definitely be back for more live shows or to hang out with family and friends on a nice day up on the rooftop areas.

It's a cool, multi floor, multi bar (and when busy) space, and I believe the only rooftop bar in GSO. The bartender didn't seem too pleased with our group being there and buying drinks, despite being the only customers there. But we still tried to make the best of it. Not sure I'll be rushing back though

Been to this place a few times and had a pretty decent experience. This was years ago but I…read moreremember when they used to have singers come out and do little performance once a week and my friends would invite me out to watch their friends perform. I remember the vibes were pretty welcoming. I have gone once since then but during the day and the vibes were pretty chill and low-key but nothing too crazy. Just a typical experience but also a really good college outing memory. The matcha I had from there wasn't particularly my favorite but they used to keep their espresso machine up at night during the performance, I'm not completely sure if I remember correctly if they sold liquor or alcohol but the drink that I did have from there the first time I went was pretty good. The ambiance is pretty normal for greensboro, I feel like almost every establishment you walk in, there will be cracked floors but I just remember the staff was pretty awesome and as far as pastries, they had a pretty good variety and gluten free options and other food sensitivity options. I believe a few years ago, I recall an episode of "Catfish" where Nev and Max also visited this place so that was pretty interesting to experience that but honestly a pretty decent place.

Got the Leonardo DiCaprio iced latte (vanilla and honey). Overall was pretty good, had just the right amount of sweetness in my opinion. Would definitely come back when in the area.

I came in for Sunday brunch with a group of 7 friends. We made reservations ahead of time and I'm…read moreglad we did it because they weren't taking reservations at the door. We were seated promptly and had a very attentive waitress. They had just launched their spring menu and I feel that it had a good amount of pairings and different offerings. I was excited about the drink menu, but I felt let down by my drink. It was supposed to be a apple butter old-fashioned but I didn't taste any apple. That was a bummer the food however was amazing. I got the breakfast plate with grits, eggs, Home fries, a biscuit, and catfish. The portion size was huge. It could have easily been split with two people. I was thinking it would be a full piece of catfish, but it was more like catfish nuggets. It was well seasoned and flavorful. The best thing on the plate was the grits. They were amazing. They were super creamy, seasoned, velvety, and just great-10/10. They do offer tours of the property and we didn't get one because of time, but I would definitely love to see it in its entirety. The staff was great and I would definitely come again.

Our reservation was for 10:00 AM, which was when the restaurant opened, but when we arrived, we were told they were still getting ready. We were eventually seated, but then told the food still was not ready. Finally, around 10:30, we were told the buffet was ready. The food was just okay, and overall, I wasn't that impressed. Maybe the experience would have been different on a regular day with their normal brunch menu, but the Mother's Day buffet was somewhat disappointing. On the positive side, everyone we interacted with was very friendly, and Magnolia House itself is historic. There was something special about dining in a place knowing its history and knowing that so many great artists had stayed there. Overall, it was somewhat disappointing, but I am still glad I went.
