This is not a family friendly shop. I have seen both the estimators Darin and the general manager Jared be very disrespectful to me and my family. I will no longer bring my family or friends here. Save yourself the fake smile and handshake at the door. Go find a different shop. Their rates are the most expensive in town not to mention their extras they add in to raise the cost even more. Verify prices around town and you will see. Kevin the owner is interested in perfect reviews and spends thousands to keep the good and discredit the bad. Why would you send a customer a review before they leave? They want the 5 star review before you leave so when you get home or drive it on the freeway to hear an air leak or rattle they got their 5 star review. Then claim to busy or waste more of your time. It's a numbers game. Don't go to this independent shop. Please do your own homework and study it out. Ask your insurance company for recommendations. Make sure the shop has certified technicians working on your car. ICAR is one of the certified programs that gives you basic knowledge of properly repairing cars. This shop doesn't have certified techs. Also being certified is WELDING certified. So if you ever came to this shop to have anything welded it was from a NON CERTIFIED person. Would you have some stranger from craigslist fix n weld up your car? This is where kevin finds the cheapest workers who know very little. FIND ANOTHER SHOP. They had the vehicle forever, and they didn't communicate well at all, if I didn't ask, I knew nothing. I will never do business there again and would never recommend them to anyone. I am very happy with center collisions work on my car. They texted me with updates several times and were responsive and informative. It did take a long time but that was also the fault of my insurance taking a long time to approve the supplemental repairs. I'm glad I chose them instead of a body shop that has an agreement with insurance companies because they were focused on repairing my car and making everything right without having to try to appease an insurance company. When I picked up my car it was super clean, probably cleaner than I've ever been able to get it at a car wash. I had a concern about something and they had me come in that day and review it with me. I get anxiety shopping for a bodyshop to take the vehicle to because i had poor body work done along with experience in prior years. Well, the streak continues. I got on yelp to see if i can narrow my search of a worth body shop that can do quality work. I saw Center Collision with a pretty high Yelp rating. Well, got to dive in and get'r done. Took it to Center Collision, the estimator/advisor guy was nice and helpful. I felt somewhat good cause he showed concern and care. This was up and around $10k damage estimate. I pointed out some of the damage area particularly the gas flap door that doesn't close properly because it was squished in from rear collision. Well, that same gas door flap is still in the same position which leads me to believe they skipped a step in doing the repairs. I still have that gas flap door that is hard to close and it reminds me every time i refill at gas station. After waiting close to a month, i was excited for the pickup. Upon arrival, seeing my car from a distance, i easily noticed the wide gap lines on my trunk. My excitement turned into disappointment real quick. Told the advisor about it and he said it was nicely done....Really? The gap lines were double the gap size of other areas of the car. The trunk lid is raised higher. The car was washed with bondo dust thats been sitting in a body shop for a month which gave the swirl marks all over the car. The advisor asked me to bring the car back so they can work on it some more. Why?....why couldn't this have been properly done the first time sitting in the body shop for a month? Who has time to be switching cars back and forth. The type of dissatisfied work done to the car i just refused to return. Just utter shock that they thought this was good work. It didn't even pass satisfactory stage. I'm not going into details of where i think that $10k worth of work got distributed but it sure wasn't into my car. 10/14/19 Owner tried reaching out to me to correct the issue. Now he is writing to claim i wasn't a customer of his to discredit my review. I would like to remain anonymous because we are far past correcting anything. I gave shop options to correct back then but they didn't take it seriously. I have receipts. My review is about the quality of work performed.....the quality of the work was poor. Gap lines wide on car, thats visible from 25ft. fuel door flap in its hard to close position meaning back of my car rear not pulled back into factory position thus the reason for the wide gap lines. I got rear ended, so I'm thinking the bumper got squished downward and was never bent back. These were details i was telling advisor before committing work to be done by center collision. I have a 2016 Toyota Corolla. I love my car, but the design style has the front bumper very very low to the ground. I scraped my car pretty severely on a curb. These were not scratches, this was something that I was sure that the bumper would need replacement. Upon my arrival last Monday for an estimate, I found out that they could save my bumper. I brought it in on the 14th to drop it off, and it was ready this afternoon. When I looked at it, I carefully scrutinized the work, but I couldn't tell there was ever any damage. It looked like the day I drove it home from the dealership brand new last year. I highly recommend them, and they will be getting my vehicles whenever I do something stupid again. They quoted me fairly & were able to fix everything under that quote with no addition costs. They provided a rental car for $10/day & went above & beyond in their customer service. This body shop provides great customer service! I didn't have an appointment and was ready to go back on a later date, and they managed to fit me into their schedule right away. Jared evaluated the damage of my car. He walked me through all the parts affected and the options (and price as I inquired) to fix them. When I shared my budget and that I may not keep the car for very long, Jared offered his honest opinion with my interest in mind, instead of pushing me to get all the replacement. I also appreciate that he put the loose front piece back in place without charging me and wouldn't accept a tip. I purchased a full detail Groupon from Center Collision. Dropped the car off in the morning and was told I'd be called when the car was finished. At about 4 PM I called to ask if it was done yet and was told oh yeah, it's done, guess we forgot to call and let you know. Not what I'd expect from a company trying to impress me and get my business again. The detail job is so-so. Granted, it is a minivan so lots of surface area to cover, but there are several places where wax did not get buffed off (mainly in the cracks between body panels and also on the black bumper protector). There was a thick clump of tree sap on the windshield when we took it in, they didn't remove it, it's not like it was hidden it's right in the middle of the windshield! The inside of the 2 sliding doors did not get vacuumed or wiped down at all, and several of the cupholders did not get cleaned out. Maybe I had too high of expectations but I would have thought the obvious places with dirt (cupholders) would be clean. Overall a very ho-hum detail job. It's probably still a decent deal since it was a Groupon and half-price but I wouldn't pay full price for their detail service, not sure it is their bread and butter. read more

I got into a car accident about a month ago and went to these guys for yelp..best choice ever! Where to begin, after calling and speaking to Kevin I immediately dropped my car off and received the best news ( they had a loaner car I could use while my car was in the shop). Taking into consideration that I am 22 years old, regardless of how good of a deal I would get with a car rental I would not be able to avoid the $25-30 daily fee for being under the age of 25. So already these guys saved me a great deal! Even making me aware that my insurance was trying to use after market parts. Had Mark not mentioned this to me I would have never even had a clue. With the help of Mark, my Scion is as good as new. Mark has treated my car as if it was his own vehicle, I trusted him the entire process (my car is my baby, and the fact that I trusted Mark without hesitation says a lot!) They are a family owned business & being from Hawaii, we always support small & family owned businesses. A service they offer (that most shops don't) is they have loners you can use while your car is in their shop! For about $10-$25/day. I am one of those people who don't have rental coverage from my insurance company, so this was a big blessing! I definitely recommend anyone looking for a repair shop to consider Center Collision. So long story short, these guys are awesome. Went all around Tacoma/University Place, toting around an infant (which isn't easy) getting quotes on what I needed to do & how I should go about fixing the bumper of our Durango (I had bumped into a trailer hitch)..this place was by far the best. Some places said they HAD to replace the entire bumper and grill quoting me about $1500-2300!!! The gentleman that helped me was honest and gave me options on how to fix it. I ended up taking the Durango here to get the bumper pulled out and the sides pushed back in. They did a great job and stuck to the original quote! I was also impressed with how timely they were. My wife bought a "deal" on Amazon Local to have her car detailed. I was skeptical due to the low price, but what the heck? I stopped in to make the appointment, and everyone was courteous and professional. The detailing was to take 4 hours, so they told me to bring the car in and they would take me to work. When they were done, they would drop the car off at my work. Nice! When I saw the car, I couldn't believe it! It was like new inside and out! BEWARE!!! Shady and not certified to fix cars. I didn't want to deal with the body shops n fixing my car. I wanted my husband to, but since it was my fault I had to go get estimates. Center collision was my 3rd stop. I get a free estimate then ask a few follow up questions like i had at the previous 2 shops. The girl at the front desk was nice until I started asking my questions. How long to fix my car? Who is fixing it? Because looking thru the window the people looked sketchy. So I wanted to see specifically who was going to be assigned to my car. This is where it went south fast. Is any of your workers CERTIFIED to do the repairs? Yes she said. Ok do you have proof or certificates to show me? She was clueless. So she asked for the GM to come speak to me. Oh yes we do he said. Where are they I added just to put my mind at ease. The other shops I had been to had them posted in the lobby to verify. They gave me the run around and didn't have any proof or documentation that they have been trained to work on my car. So with that awkward answer who knows what other things they are willing to hide and not tell you. Go find a shop that has the documentation and can verify they have trained professionals fixing your car. Too many shops say they are certified but lack the proof to back it up. As far as auto repair and body shops goes I think I can safely speak on the general publics' opinion and say that the overall experience sucks. From wishy washy quotes to terrible service to untimely repairs, crap rentals and increased costs during the actual repair work. I am shocked to say Center Collision does not have any of those problems. They are professional, courteous and best of all, quick. They don't jerk you around, tell you the quote and it's fixed--only thing that would change if cost of parts goes up. Dropped by for 10 minutes, got a quote, emailed to confirm drop off time, had it done in a couple of days. If it wasn't around Christmas time I'm sure it would have even been sooner. They made my beat up car look brand new. Everything was attached properly and securely and the paint job was awesome. Complimentary clean up and vacuum and felt like I was driving it out the showroom again. I got a full detail service on a car I was selling while they were doing a special for a full detail for $179. I don't think I would have come here for the detail at full price which is $350 according to their website. They did a phenomenal job on the interior. There were stains on the seats that I thought would never come out because I had tried for years to get them out. They probably got about 75% of the staining out and the interior is just beautiful now. Now I would give 5 stars but their website states that the door jambs would be cleaned for a full detail however my door jambs weren't even touched.Other than that they are the place to go in Tacoma for detailing, especially if you have severe staining on interior fabrics. read more
