Gander Mountain is really much more a hunting/fishing store - Scheels focuses on all outdoor activities, including running, skiing, biking, etc. Great customer service - other stores should send their staff here for training. Polite, helpful, knowledgeable - from the cashier to the store manager. Overall, best retail experience in the Mall. The gentleman in charge asked if he could help as soon as we entered. We said no, just looking. I asked about about another local business which he confirmed and our conversation started. Very friendly atmosphere and well stocked with fishing and sporting goods. He and I talked about handguns while my wife checked out the rest of the neatly kept store. He was knowledgable about handguns and had a number of them on display. Would have given 5 stars if there would have been more displayed. May have had more inventory in safe keeping but I did not ask. This is a small town so it's understandable not having a huge inventory on display. This was a nice break and I'll stop in again in a few months when back in the area.
