Service inattentive. Bar employee chatter was an obvious priority. Our server visited us to accept our order, and deliver our beverages, dinner 1, dinner 2 and request payment. Disappointment. read more

I started with a house made soda in ginger grapefruit. Really gingery and tasty. Apparently they have different flavors often- they had maybe 6 available when I was there. I tried the Chinese buns to start, which really could serve as a main course because they are big. They were bready buns (not like a traditional Chinese bun like I expected) with sauce, chunks of bacon and cucumber. Really good. We split the roast beef dip and the open faced BBQ pork. Both were really good - quality ingredients and classic flavors. All in all, I really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. Left very very full!

We really loved the apple but didn't care much for the other. Both came with home made vanilla ice cream that was amazing. The chocolate had berries and chocolate syrup. The berries were previously frozen thawed and really reduced the quality of the dish. The service was attentive and quick. We had carajillos that were well made.

Routine attempt to offer a respected brand with the quality control and/or process. The sub-sandwich is overpriced compared to the successful Subway products. Approximately 12%. My Classic Italians was over toasted. The interior ingredients were cold. Ops the process is automated. Sorry Not recommend.

We started with mimosas which our waitress, Laura, told us we're 2 for the price of 1. YES, please! Laura came back with the pastry tray (pictured) and I chose the napoleon-style dessert. Then I ordered the "Petite Dejeuner" ("small breakfast"). My wife ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette. My petite breakfast was large - boiled egg (I requested hard boiled), jam, delicious crusty bread, emmentel cheese, Swiss cheese, a juice made fresh from carrots, rosemary, and other other goodies, ham, yogurt, muesli, honey, salad, house made salad dressing, fresh fruit, and more! The omelette was huge and had great flavor. It also came with some of the fresh juice and fresh fruit. SIDE NOTE: I watched as other plates were delivered to tables, and everything looked beautiful. We sat upstairs in the covered area, but there is also a downstairs area with seating if prefer to avoid the steps. Laura, was an outstanding waitress. She gave a good review of the menu, and made wonderful suggestions. She was very patient and helpful as I practiced my ordering in Spanish. I nearly forgot!! We took a slice of pear and almond tart to go. We plan to enjoy it during our bus ride to San Miguel de Allende. If you've not visited Cafe Breton, go get a table NOW! Thank me later with a juice or a cup of coffee!
