They quoted me $230 to fix, which was a bit high since other places quoted $150 - $175, but I trusted they would do a good job so I allowed them to order the new part. Three days later I was informed that the part was in. On the way there, I dropped my LG and damaged the backing. I had taken the protective case off so they could replace the display. They ended up fixing the backing as well, stating that they could not fix the display unless they fixed the backing as well. However, they gave me a bit of a discount to repair both. Overall, so far everything is looking good and although a bit more costly, I recommend because they do good work.

Instead, I had to return 4-5 times until it was confirmed that they couldn't fix my phone. I still ended up having to get a new iphone from apple. Arguably, there is no guarantee that a store can fix liquid damage, but I didn't appreciate the way that they went about addressing the issue. I specifically didn't like the fact that during my last attempt to fix it, I handed in my phone around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday and didn't hear from them until I physically went in on Sunday afternoon - there was no email communication. I think the red flag for the technicians should have been that my phone was never entirely charged, when it was given back to me. Perhaps the issue could have been noticed if it was left overnight for observation. Okay, so they did refund my money when they realized that there was no possibility of saving it, but the effort of going back 4-5 times was ridiculous, to say the least. It also meant that I didn't have a working phone for over 3 weeks. To add further insult to injury, I just checked out the final invoice that they sent out and realized that they took off the protective screen that I paid $10 for and did not refund me. I will not be going back to get that money back - not worth it.

I first visited the store last week during lunch time because my iPad was experiencing frequent crashing issues. During that visit, one of the technicians was already impatient when I asked questions and tried to get clarification about the problem. Despite the poor attitude, I left my iPad with them for diagnosis, hoping the technical expertise would make up for the customer service. When I picked it up, a different technician explained that the crashing issue had been temporarily resolved and that the underlying problem was a damaged power management IC. I was advised to use an original Apple charger moving forward. After returning home and following those instructions, I discovered that my iPad would not charge, even with an original Apple charger. Concerned that the issue had not actually been resolved, I returned to the store the following week. Unfortunately, that second visit was far worse. A third technician with glasses, who had not been involved in my previous visits, immediately came across as dismissive and unprofessional when I was trying to ask for clarity. While the previous technician was attempting to explain the situation to me, he repeatedly interrupted the conversation and treated me with open hostility. After I confronted with him of his rude behavior and attitudes, he then proceeded to call me a "B!TCH" and even said "F@CK YOU" directly to my face. I was stunned. I came in seeking help with a device and instead was subjected to verbal abuse from a staff member. No customer should ever be spoken to this way under any circumstances. This behavior and attitude were completely unacceptable. Technical issues can happen. Repairs may not always work. All I wanted was clarification to understand the issue better. What customers should be able to expect, however, is professionalism, respect, and basic courtesy. Based on my experience, this business failed on all three. I cannot recommend Mobile Square to anyone. If customer service matters to you, I would strongly consider taking your business elsewhere.

"But it's only the on/off switch," I bleated. They claimed it was all one component. (Spoiler alert: bullshit.) Then I contacted CPR. They quoted me less than half. I had to give them half of that ($50) so they would order the part. They kept me apprised every step of the way, and accurately managed my expectations. Then met them. When they received the part, I dropped off my phone. They helped me put it into maintenance mode; so my apps and data were protected. Yay! I got a call when the phone was ready. They took less than the hour and a half they had advised me it might take. I was able to pick it up on my way out for the evening. All in all, a marvellous experience, and a very satisfying resolution to my hardware issue. Highly recommended.
