I was a little skeptical when I ordered a unlock code for Samsung S5 through the website of Canada…read moreUnlocking. I have read quite a lot of horrible stories online about a lot of the websites are not legit, just a scam. I am happy to report that Canada Unlocking is the real deal especially if you have a locked phone from one of the carrier from Canada. I requested their service and in less than 12 hours I received the code by email and it works!!! Highly recommend as the price is 1/3 of what the cellphone company is charging! Canada Unlocking is also a local company in GTA and you are not dealing with someone in Europe or USA! Tips: I would suggest paying by PayPal and read the T&C before dealing with most online companies!

My Apple phone was dead to the world. It had been slowing down since the beginning of the summer…read more The Bell store where I bought it in 2015 told me it would cost MORE to take the phone apart and replace the battery than to buy a new phone. AND that the new iPhone14 were coming out in Sept and Apple would shut-down most apps to force a new phone purchase. That's what I thought was happening. I thought for sure they were going to tell me I need a new phone Instead!! WOW!! Cell Xperts told me to give them 1/2 an hour. When I came back my phone WAS ALIVE!! only $70.00 and working faster and better than ever, ever since. Seriously, go there first when you have issues with your phone. The guys are VERY knowledgable and very patient and nobody tries to up-sell you anything. AND they have great accessories.

I was redirected here after visiting the Samsung Experience Store within the mall to troubleshoot…read morewhy my new phone couldn't turn on. They quickly noticed that the battery area was bulged up, confirming that it had been stored on the shelf in that position for a long time. Unfortunately my brand new Samsung phone that was out of the box for less than 12 hours was surprisingly already out of warranty since April 30 of this year. I can't even dispute this issue with this store since it's a Samsung issue, and this particular Samsung store refused to do anything related to repairs and warranties. This shop was going to charge it $130+tax for a battery swap, but I was able to find a repair shop in Markham that can do this for half the cost.

At checkout, I also bought a screen protector which the technician offered to install for me. The battery replacement was priced at $105, which is less than the $175 I was quoted at Apple.

They quoted me $230 to fix, which was a bit high since other places quoted $150 - $175, but I trusted they would do a good job so I allowed them to order the new part. Three days later I was informed that the part was in. On the way there, I dropped my LG and damaged the backing. I had taken the protective case off so they could replace the display. They ended up fixing the backing as well, stating that they could not fix the display unless they fixed the backing as well. However, they gave me a bit of a discount to repair both. Overall, so far everything is looking good and although a bit more costly, I recommend because they do good work.

"Not impressed" is how I would summarize my experience with this place…read more I went to this location because of the great reviews of the expediency and knowledge of the repair technicians. I was quoted a relatively high price (compared to the other places that I checked out), but decided to go along with it, given its rating on yelp. Instead, I had to return 4-5 times until it was confirmed that they couldn't fix my phone. I still ended up having to get a new iphone from apple. Arguably, there is no guarantee that a store can fix liquid damage, but I didn't appreciate the way that they went about addressing the issue. I specifically didn't like the fact that during my last attempt to fix it, I handed in my phone around 11:30 a.m. on a Friday and didn't hear from them until I physically went in on Sunday afternoon - there was no email communication. I think the red flag for the technicians should have been that my phone was never entirely charged, when it was given back to me. Perhaps the issue could have been noticed if it was left overnight for observation. Okay, so they did refund my money when they realized that there was no possibility of saving it, but the effort of going back 4-5 times was ridiculous, to say the least. It also meant that I didn't have a working phone for over 3 weeks. To add further insult to injury, I just checked out the final invoice that they sent out and realized that they took off the protective screen that I paid $10 for and did not refund me. I will not be going back to get that money back - not worth it.
