We were pointed to this location through our phone insurance company, asurion, who provided us a list of locations that fix cracked phone screens for $29. Thankfully we only had a cracked phone screen situation. Of the three locations suggested, we chose the Vernon Hills location based on the great reviews. To make the appointment, we filed a claim and prepaid ahead of time. We were given a specific time to come in, and when we dropped off the phone we filled out a questionnaire to verify the diagnosis. We were told to come back in 1.5 hours. They called us at exactly 1.5 hours to come back and pick up our phone. When we picked up the phone, it was like nothing ever happened. The phone looks brand new, and it is brand new because my son just got the replacement after destroying his other phone two months ago! Take note, they used OEM parts and our phone was replaced with an original Apple screen. The phone repair is under full warranty. The business was clean and orderly, and the process was super duper easy. Nice waiting room with mints and a Keurig coffee machine. The employees were friendly and courteous and did everything they were supposed to do. To this day the phone is working like a champ!

I do not recommend getting a laptop or computer repaired at this company. I dropped my Lenovo…read morelaptop and took it in for repairs. They told me they would call me later that day or the next. By halfway through the second day, I called them for an update. They said they were working on it. Three hours later, I called again, and they gave me the same answer. This time, they mentioned they were preparing a quote for the repair because the motherboard was damaged and it would cost $750. They explained that they would need to send it out to a specialty shop. However, they assured me they could back up my data, which I requested, and they did manage to do that. When I went to pick up the laptop, I noticed a plastic bag taped to it containing some hardware. I asked what it was, and they informed me it was the SSD (the new type of hard drive) from which they had retrieved my data. They did not reinstall it in the laptop, which I found puzzling, as I intended to take it to a locally owned computer repair shop for a second opinion. Having never opened a computer before, I thought, "What do I have to lose?" So I opened it up and found the connection point to reinstall the SSD. I had to go and buy a small screw to secure it, which they did not return with the SSD. To my surprise, when I turned on the laptop, it worked perfectly! I am not sure what they were doing for three days, other than backing up my data. Honestly, the store name should be changed to "We Break It, You Pay Us, and You Fix It."

Working with Matt was exactly that. He was prompt, professional, and refreshingly easy to work with. No unnecessary jargon, no drama, just honest expertise and a genuine commitment to getting the job done right. As a small business owner, having someone reliable to call when technology gets in the way is invaluable. If you're looking for an IT professional who knows his craft, communicates well, and delivers on his promises, I highly recommend him. Good people are hard to find. Great IT people are even harder.

He absolutely saved me this week…read more My Lenovo laptop completely failed to boot after a graphics driver cleanup utility corrupted the Windows boot configuration and recovery environment. The system was stuck in a recovery loop, BitLocker was triggered, and Windows wouldn't load or even reliably enter repair mode. Multiple shops I called said it would take several days just to diagnose the issue. Matt turned it around in essentially one day. He was able to manually access the system, unlock BitLocker, repair the corrupted boot configuration, rebuild the necessary Windows files, and get the machine fully operational again -- without wiping my data. That was critical, as I had local files that weren't backed up to the cloud. Beyond the technical expertise, what impressed me most was: * Clear communication * Fast turnaround * Extremely reasonable pricing * No upselling, no unnecessary "reinstall everything" approach He diagnosed the real issue quickly and fixed it correctly the first time. If you're an independent contractor who depends on your machine daily, or you run a small to mid-sized business and need reliable, competent IT support, Matt is exactly who you want on your side. Look no further. Highly, highly recommend.

I should have read ALL of the reviews before I went there. I seems like Zee does not like anyone…read moreand has not had a good review in the 6 years he has been there! Let me start by stating that I ordered the wrong phone online. I ordered the 18ProMax not the 18Pro. My mistake. I called ATT on 9/25 to try and cancel the order. I wanted 33 minutes to speak with someone. Even though there was no shipping info I was told they were not able to cancel it. I was told that after I receive the phone to take it to a store and return it. I was told not to open the phone box and there would be no restocking fee. The phone arrived today. The ATT website it states "Make your return or exchange with the help of one of our friendly experts at any AT&T retail store." Then asks you to enter a zip code to Find a Store. When I did that the store in Lincolnshire pops up first. So I went there. They told me they couldn't help me because they were independent and I had to go to a Corporate Store. They recommended Vernon Hills. Jesse is the associate who "helped" me. While her words were not rude, her tone was extremely rude. She told me that I needed to call the 800 number, get a label, and take the phone to a UPS store. She said that the only way the store could take a return was to open the phone, activate it, the port it back to the old phone which would take 48 hours, and I would need to pay the restocking fee. I admit that I was surprised and upset as I spent time on the phone and was doing exactly what I was told to do. Her attitude towards me, the customer, was extremely discourteous for an associate. There was not a modicum of empathy given to me having driven to the store as I was told. Her attitude toward me was quite insulting (even if her specific words were not). I left the store and called the 800 number. I wanted 44 minutes and was connected to a lovely person. She could not understand why the store would not take the phone back. While on the phone I actually returned to the store. She tried talking to them, but they would not accept the return. She suggested that she would email me the shipping label and Alex, the store associate, agreed he would print it. It was very nice for someone to be thinking outside the box to assist a customer. 1 hour 31 minutes later I received the email with the label. I emailed it to Alex. Then I made the mistake of showing Zee, the Manager, the location on the website where it says you can do returns in the store. He told me he knew the policy as he has been there 6 years, but that they would need to open and activate the new phone. Then he told Alex to NOT print my shipping label. I have been an ATT Mobile customer since Cellular One was bought by Cingular and then ATT. I have never been treated so rudely by staff and by a manager. The store was EMPTY which I guess should not surprise me. I am happy to say that the associate at the UPS store extremely helpful and the phone has been returned. My suggestion...GO TO THE APPLE STORE!
