Despite that, I requested a service super late minute (on a Thursday for a Friday request) and although there wasn't much of any notice on my part, LA did a wonderful job squeezing me in and keeping me updated on logistics, etc. Please note that Hairology now functions as an in-home service, which I loved. The stylist showed up at my house even earlier than our appointment time, but it was great. My stylist Jayda was quick, professional and she achieved the exact look I wanted. Before I booked it I asked if they do my kind of hair, natural Afro hair. I was told yes they do it all the time, I asked if they use a hair protectant spray for the blow out and straightening. They said yes, I specifically said if you don't let me know now because I don't want any damage. She insisted they won't straighten my hair without it. I got there and there was a lady who didn't speak English. The other one called and said she's explained everything to her and she's good at doing natural hair. First of all, the deep conditioning was awful, they asked me to get out of the dryer after 5-10mins?! I insisted I'll stay longer. The got 1/2 way through my hair before I realised she was spraying olive oil and literally frying my hair. After all that, the blow out and flat ironed hair lasted 4hours!! This salons damaged my hair, I told them and the saw my message and ignored it. Never again! God forbid, such rubbish service and attitude for the money.

It is very unaccepting to make a client feel mistreated, especially when they are paying above price for treatment. The elder lady is very sweet. However the young ones, especially the failed bleach dyed blonde lady (Roma), is ill-mannered, disrespectful. Very often, they stop to help people who come into the store. This has extended my stay at the salon on multiple occasions. Yet last week I went in on a day that they couldn't book me, just to get some braiding hair. Thinking the shop is going to be open, the door was locked at 11 o'clock in the morning. They ignored me as I knocked, and when I called said they were not gonna unlock the door because they were too busy doing people's hair. Just a few weeks before, I was there and my braider had her son the entire time she was braiding my hair and he's a toddler. She also helped folks in the store and even stepped out to go get her son from daycare, while braiding me hair.
