I really love this salon. I am pleased every time I go. They take their time and are attentive to details, I never have to tell them to fix this or fix that. My nails are perfectly shaped, painted, and last for two full weeks without a chip! They are up to date on the latest nail trends and shapes which makes things easier. I would highly recommend Dora. She is AMAZING! I have also had Alissa she is good too. It is best to make an appointment because they get pretty busy. The only negative thing I have to say is each time I go I'm never taken at my appointment time, last time I had an appointment at 11:30 a.m and wasn't taken until 12:15 p.m. If they can work on that then all around this place would be perfect. read more

D'Elegance Hair Salon - Beautiful highlights in healthy layers, perfect! - Hair Salons Near Me - Perth Amboy, New Jersey

I have been going to D'Elegance for years. Many of the ladies there are quite talented, but Christina is the best! I have literally been a client of hers for the past 20 years. I am a business professional out of NYC and won't let anyone cut or style my hair (or my 6 year old daughter's hair) except her. My sister and aunt also go to her. She knows what she is doing when it comes to cuts, color and styling. And yes, I prefer her over the salons I have access to in the city. read more

D'Elegance Hair Salon - My wedding hair done by Christina - Hair Salons Near Me - Perth Amboy, New Jersey

Honestly I want to give a -1 star because the service I had Tuesday was so bad the ladies seemed ok and nice but OMAR what a Doush he seemed so not interested in my daughters hair or styling it I payed $45 for a blow out I asked for rollers and he told me it would be the same as a blow out plus he used minimal product and left it dry and unfinished look. He seemed upset because I asked him NOT to cut my daughters hair. This is what her blow out looked like less than 24hrs later read more

I've been going to D'elegance since 03 and every single time I leave there I get compliments everywhere I go..I have curly hair that is unruly most of the time and I don't like a lot of hair product in my hair.. I usually see Christina, who is amazing, but everyone there seems to have magic hands that just work magic with a blow dryer and can do the most beautiful blow out in a timely manner without using a ton of hair product! My thick, frizzy, curly hair always leaves there silky, soft, and looking like I belong in a magazine, or something:) Also! They do a great job washing your hair and deep conditioning it! I almost fall asleep every time.. Prices are so reasonable I sometimes go there just to have my hair washed and to have a blowout. The only thing is, it is in a Spanish community and I wish I spoke Spanish so I can speak with everyone else-but that's okay! I silently sit there while they work their magic. Another annoying thing is the parking situation..it's street parking..they actually moved to a better location in Perth Amboy a few years ago than when I first started..it's metered parking ( it's cheap though, I think only 25 cents for a half hour or an hour) but if you're getting alot done-cut/color/blow out and you park far, in can be a hassle going to put $ in the meter..but it's worth it for the low costs and great results read more

My hair is healthy,, shiny,, bouncy and always blonde, I absolutely love my hairstylist Cristina at D'elegance I've been going to her for years she does my hair on a regular basis including my special events, my wedding (including my bridesmaids), my maternity shoot, my baby shower. I moved an hour away from the salon location & still make my way to her, she is the best, I would not let any one else touch my blonde tresses .. If you want anything done you can just show her a picture and she will make it happen I strongly recommend her. read more

1st time at D'elegance and wow what a great job!! I was a little skeptical about going to another salon after so many years with my previous stylist where the last few times i didnt leave content due to my hair breaking from so many products in my hair..However, my first experience at D'Elegance was excellent!!!Nelly really did an awesome job!!..I got blonde highlights done..She took her time, kept track of the timer and handled my hair carefully to avoid more damage.I have long and LOTS of hair which she knew how to handle very well.I was there for about 6 hours but it was defitnatley worth the time. Highlights came out beautiful and barely any breakage...I got lots of compIiments and will be returning for a touch up with Nelly! :) read more

Perth Amboy is filled good Dominican Hair salons, but this one provides great customer service, ample space so people are not on top of you and wifi!!! So i come here for a few hours do my nails, hair etc and I can still be logged in for work without missing a beat! Jennifer, the MUA is awesome!!! She hooks it up for all my outings! read more

D'elegance is great, I have been going there for many years before they moved to this location. The prices have gone up a lot but they are still cheaper than most places. I go to Rosana and I get color, cuts, hilights, blowouts. They really blow out your hair super smooth and beautiful. read more

I would NOT recommend Lidia at all. I had an appointment scheduled and was not worked on until one hour after it as she proceeded to take two customers before me! I showed her the updo that I wanted, which she seemed to not understand how to do it. I ended up getting an updo that was a lot simpler than the one I showed her, which took her about 20 minutes to do. I ended up being one hour late to the wedding I was attending. Lack of care for customers and honoring appointment times! read more

beautiful nail art but i'm not sure what products they use because i can't go a week without nail issues such as lifting and what not. Too expensive for the quality. I stopped going there about 4 months or so ago. read more

I've been to a couple hair salons in Perth Amboy because I know Perth Amboy is a great place for haircuts and beard trims. I heard about this salon from a friend and decided to try it out because my friend told me one of the girls here does a great job trimming beards and doing haircuts for men. I do not want to mention any names because they were so nice but the haircut was terrible. I'm pretty sure I ended up with a half mullet at the end of it and she cut my neck while she was shaving me. read more

Horrible most unprofessional ever !!!! Had a wedding to go to called twice to confirm my appointment and see if they can do my style receptionist said yes. Called the second time to confirm my appointment he didn't have me down . Then I get there by appointment is at 1 the don't take me till 1:30ish (now im running late for my makeup appointment) I asked for hollywood waves , showed the guy a picture , and called. The girl starts blowing out my hair and finishes it at that . I told her that snot what I wanted and that I needed waves she called someone over to translate and the girl goes " she doesn't know how to do that " . Then they called Lydia their useless manager over and she goes "Omg im sorry the person who does this style isn't here and I'm busy right now " .. another lady then goes i'll try and start spraying hair and telling me thats how its done and then curls my damn hair and puts pins. (NOT HOLLYWOOD WAVES ) .. I go back home and unpin my hair and its hard and not styled right and not what I asked for . NEVER GOING BACK , they are never punctual with time ! And after this one NEVER AGAIN. read more

I've given this place so many chances, but I'm so tired of the hairdressers doing what THEY wanted with my hair! I explained to her that I wanted my layers just one inch shorter than my regular hair length. I explained it a couple of different times just to make sure we were on the same page. Instead of doing as I asked, she gave me choppy layers, with some parts being 3-4 inches shorter than my normal length. Are you serious?! Whats the point in asking how I want my hair done if you're going to what you want anyway? That's not what I'm paying for. OH and speaking of paying.. When I went to pay at the register she asked me "How much did they charge you last time for a haircut?" And I told them they charged me $20. She said "Okay, I'm going to charge you $25". Again, whats the point of asking me? This also wasnt the first time I encountered an issue with the payment. At this point I already knew I was never going to come back here again. Horrible service, horrible excuse of a business. read more

THIS REVIEW IS ONLY ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST AT THIS SALON. Receptionist looked at me while I was wearing a business suit, walking into D'elegance Hair Salon. She was asked by me the pricing for a blow dry for short hair 3 inches past the ear. Receptionist smiled and responded, " FOR YOU _______ dollars, and gave a price that was HIGHER than the pricing on the signage. I politely responded, no, _________ dollars is too much for a blow dry, no thank you ! I walked out of their salon. Uneducated, low class behavior. You are being profiled when you walk into their salon. There is a different price for a different customer. With only 3 inches of hair past the ear, very little hair to work with at that time with ease in shampooing and drying, why would the receptionist lie to potential clients. Watch out, for their pricing. Get a new receptionist who doesn't say to potential clients " FOR YOU " then, name a price. The phrasing is sleezy and so is the business strategy. The salon owner should know what is the process occurring. Sadly, there was never an experience inside the salon with a stylist at all because of the lack of ethics with the front desk person. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Have been doing my toes with Johanna for 2 years now before she was at D'Elegance. She has always done my toes beautifully and is super nice. I am here as we speak!! I have never in my life seen such unprofessionalism as I have seen today at an establishment. I am Dominican but live in Marlboro and drive all the way to Perth Amboy to get my nails done. That goes to show you that I am A LOYAL CUSTOMER! I have never met the owner before until today. She is absolutely horrible. She was speaking to another customer right next to me making racist coments about black people and Haitian people. What type of crap is that?! We are all Carribean people is she serious. Funny thing is so many black people go to this salon and spend their hard earned money so this disgusting human being can talk about them when they are not around. I am truly mortified. Also she spoke to every other client except me maybe because she saw the way I was dressed and didn't think I was worthy of her conversation which I wouldn't even want to speak to her anyway because she clearly is not a nice intelligent person. If you are a person of color WHICH SHE IS HERSELF please do not come to this establishment and spend your money! Take your business and money where it is appreciated! I love Johanna but it makes me second guess whether I should come back and put money into this fools pocket. read more
