We don't live in the area, so our meetings were all via video chat, which worked out really well. She made sure that the ceremony was exactly what we were hoping for! She also arranged our photography, our dinner after the ceremony, and my hair and makeup. Thank you, Alegria, for making the day so magical!

I am getting teary even as I write this, thinking of her support. We are a queer couple who's wedding was postponed 2 years in a row due to the pandemic and a medical emergency in the family. We also had to change venues and caterer during all of the challenges. The path to our wedding day was not simple or easy, but Alegria's support and expertise made it all manageable. She was immediately responsive and loving about our concerns related to potential homophobia we might experience through our process. We never once felt othered or treated differently as a queer couple, something we are sensitive to. My spouse is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, and Alegria was immediately honoring and respectful. All of this makes a big difference when you've experienced prior homophobia in the place where you grew up. And when medical emergencies and the pandemic kept throwing up big barriers, Alegria was the calm in the storm. She joined us in grounded decision making, was thoughtful and informed, and really demonstrated so much care during the hard parts. When we had challenges with our past vendors that we ended up not working with, she had such helpful advice. And on our actual wedding day, which was so beautiful and perfect, Alegria joined us in our vision of a big community celebration. She and her staff were so so kind and thoughtful, so supportive. They made us feel special while reducing decision fatigue and stress. She worked with our vendors beautifully, and the day of we were able to truly relax and be present. We could not have asked for better. Thank you, Gala Events!! xo Erin + Ames

Stayed here for one night while driving to LA from Portland. I chose an interior room which has…read morewindows into the ballroom, not the outside. It was fine for one night but I don't know if I would choose the same type room if staying longer. The hotel has some history behind it and can be a little creepy if you decide to walk around at night by yourself. Our room was #16, located on the second floor. The room was a decent size with a sitting area with two chairs and a settee and a small armoire to hang your clothes. The bathroom was small with a walk in shower but the shower pressure was good and the water was warm. No air conditioning but there was an industrial oscillating fan in the room. Unfortunately, I didn't find the bed too comfortable and the headboard creaked a lot but it was ok for just one night. Taylor at the front desk when we checked in was very helpful and informative. We left early, around 8am and they had a complimentary breakfast available for guests consisting of bagels, sweet pastries, fruit, Tillamook cheese and sliced tomatoes and cucumbers which I presume are for the bagels. Cute spread!

The bed was absolutely comfortable. The aroma of the inn was absolutely overwhelming and not a pleasant odor. Our room was a good size, but the furniture was from when the inn opened in 1888. Not comfortable to sit on and relax on. The curtains were tied back in their periodic decor which made pulling them closed an ordeal ( there were 8 of them). Our door to the hallway had a significant leveling problem and could see into the hallway when the door was closed. Although I can appreciate the charm of the past it felt like everything (carpet, furniture, doors, walls) was "dirty"
