If it was possible I would give this cleaner the rate less. I brought two items to this dry cleaner. Before service, I confirmed the prices for each item. The order had just two items. The same person accepted and returned my order. The final bill was almost $15 higher than quoted. The vest was reclassified as a jacket on the final receipt, and the person explained me that they only consider the item as a vest if it is a part of a suit only but before the order he considered my vest as the vest. The price for the second item was $10 higher than what I was told initially. If you consider using this service, make sure to double-check the final bill to avoid overcharging. My experience was incredibly disappointing. I do not recommend this place. read more

I have used Cedar Cleaners a handful of times. I rarely need dry cleaning services as I have been a full-time teleworker for more than six years. I went out with friends and wore one of my favorite dresses and got a stain from dinner. I also had a shirt that needed a seam repair and another in need of a button. I love that they have a drive-through! Charles, the owner, explained my items would be ready the following week by Wednesday due to the schedule of the seamstress. He also explained that due to Covid, both the shirts would have to be dry cleaned after the seamstress repairs were complete. Charles provided excellent customer service! Most of the time he remembers my name even though I only visit a few times a year. That's impressive! I paid the bill when I dropped off the items which cost a little more than $30. I felt this was reasonable. I was so happy to see he removed the stain from my favorite dress and it looked brand new. And I was pleased with both of my shirt repairs. My initial experience at Cedars was pretty good. The owner seemed like a good guy. But, I expressed some concern about his pricing as there were no prices anywhere to be seen. He informed me at that time that I had dropped things off on "ladies day "and therefore, a discount would be applied. Fair enough. But still, price transparency was an issue. When I returned with a very large load of things, he told me that he was busy at the time but that he would look through the bags later and touch base with me about the prices. Instead, he cleaned everything and then called me with an exorbitant amount afterwards. When my husband went to pick up the items, I realized that he didn't have the entire order. The owner didn't even call to tell me that he'd forgotten to give my husband things. And of course the receipt was not itemized so it's a good thing that I noticed. A jacket is still missing... For a while now I've been looking for a REASONABLY PRICED dry cleaning shop that does QUALITY WORK. My first impression at Cedars Cleaners was great! Charles the owner was very friendly and seemed like he really cares about his customers. They have a section on the side of the shop that is a DRIVE THRU which I thought was a genius idea when I saw it. It makes it a lot easier than parking your car, shutting it off, walking to the shop, all just to walk in for a minute and walk out. When I arrived to pick up my dry cleaning I noticed, Charles even though he was extremely busy due to the hurricane, was still as FRIENDLY and PROFESSIONAL as the first time I dropped my suits off. My mom recently went here to get her dress altered. Upon coming in, to check on the status, the owner was extremely rude to her telling her that he told her "I told you it's complicated, I told you it wont be ready until Saturday" when the initial date on the ticket to retrieve her dress was last Tuesday...it is Monday now. When explaining how she marked the dress to alter it to the length he kept interrupting her and telling how that it will cost her more. In one month they have ruined four dress pants in the exact same manner. The belt loops in the back are now frayed and they are no longer wearable. When I brought this issue to the owner, he was very rude and took no ownership of the problem. He stated that it could not have been their fault and I must be very unlucky. He said all of this without ever looking at the damage. I understand that mistakes happen and I gave the owner a chance to make it right in some way, but instead he chose to give a rude and dismissive response. If you want to pay 25 dollars to have them ruin 200 dollars worth of clothes, this is the cleaner for you. Given how many cleaners there are in Jacksonville, it should be very easy to find another one that does not ruin clothes. read more
