Not my normal stomping grounds but was at an Urgent Care on SW 139th with an ear infection at night…read moreon a weekend of course. Was given 3 scripts to fill, where do you do that at 10pm on the weekend? This Walgreens, that's where. It's a 24/7 pharmacy. You can either drive through or go in the store. I don't know if they lock up the front doors at some time, but I was there after 10pm & doors still unlocked. After hours pharmacies seem to be a busy place and this was no different. There were about 3 cars in the drive through so I don't know if they were dropping off a prescription, picking up a refill or getting cold medicine. There were about 3 of us at the inside counter. I was waited on promptly, got the information given, showed my ID and insurance card and was told it would be 25 minute wait. I sat in the pharmacy area to wait. It actually took about 35 minutes which is fine, I think the pharmacist really thought it would take less time, but they got busy. He had to call the Manager to come man the drive through and the counter so he and 2 others could fill the orders they had been taking. He even took time out to explain one of the meds I had a question about with a smile on his face. If you need a script late at night. I would go here. The store was well lit and everyone I dealt with was nice. Customers weren't scary or weird. Like me, they just needed some medicine.

Pharmacy is inept!…read more Called in advance of driving there and was advised prescription would be ready by 1:15PM. Arrived at 2:30 and it's still not ready and that it would take another hour! I will not use thos store again!!

HORRIFYING PHARMACY STAFF, TERRIBLE SERVICE, RUDE RUDE RUDE!! AVOID! THE PHARMACIST HUNG UP ON ME…read moreWHEN I POLITELY ASKED FOR INFORMATION. Look and all of the other terrible reviews!! This pharmacy is awful!! Firstly, let me assure you that I have had 20 years of business with this pharmacy to ascertain how badly it has gone downhill. MY LATE HUSBAND WAS A DIABETIC, AND HE WAS DYING FROM GULF WAR SYNDROME. WE LITERALLY SPENT THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AT THIS PHARMACY FOR HIS MEDICATION. AND THEN HE DIED ANYWAY. I look at that pharmacy now and can no longer see anything positive about it. There are so, so many incidents I could cite by which I make my current assessment and review. Recently, one of the most profoundly negative experiences we had here was after my (new) husband had Mohs surgery and had to have part of his ear removed due to Melanoma. When I called this CVS pharmacy on Southwest 119th Street on the way home from the hospital, the phone rang and rang and rang with no one answering for the full 45 minutes of our drive from the hospital, homeward, For over 45 minutes that phone rang and no one answered. I never hung up because at a certain point, I decided to see just how long it might ring before anyone answered. Answer? 45 minutes, plus a few more seconds. and the ringing ceased ONLY because I hung up when we reached the doors of the pharmacy. YES, no answer at all. How could anyone even let a phone ring for that long? It would have driven me crazy. And retrospect, I hope it was annoying to that understaffed, rude, uncaring pharmacy! And... OF COURSE the medication that my husband's surgical team had called in for him was indeed NOT READY. I know that sometimes priorities are made for prescriptions, and I felt that we had a good case to have had that medication ready, which is why I made that call the moment we got in the car to leave the hospital. My husband literally had over half his ear removed, and his pain was becoming so intense on the way home. SO WHEN NO ONE ANSWERED, I WAS QUITE UPSET. but I maintain my cool, and did not take it out on the lame pharmacy. When I reached the pharmacy by foot, inside the store, I was met with zero compassion, and with a nasty, harried, rude pharmacist who scolded me for my demands. Never was I demanding. I'm a girl from the south and I am unfailingly polite and patient. I assure you of this. The main reason that I write this review now is what happened yesterday in a phone call...because why would I subject myself to a face-to-face disagreement with the rude people in this pharmacy when I can make a call to have the same thing happen, and save on time and gas? And again, the rudeness and unprofessional behavior that I received and experienced yesterday is not new to this pharmacy. The condescending, snippy, rude, uncaring pharmacist - I have established that this was the pharmacist, not a pharmacy aid - continually interrupted me when I tried to state my case, blurted out a condemning statement to me, and hung up on me. She was on speakerphone. Two other people heard and acknowledged this. Let me be clear and say this again. THE NASTY PHARMACIST WHO IS SO PROFOUNDLY LACKING IN SOCIAL SKILLS HUNG UP ON ME. IF I HADN'T HAD A GOOD REASON TO COMPLAIN I might have understood how the pharmacist was put out with me. But I had a very good reason. AFTER A WEEK OF TRYING TO GET A PRESCRIPTION FILLED, I needed information on what I needed to do, since obviously, the pharmacy was not doing anything, to get my prescription filled. WHAT HAPPENED IS THAT A WEEK AGO, I ORDERED A PRESCRIPTION ONLINE - A PRESCRIPTION THAT I BADLY NEEDED. AND I NEVER HEARD ANOTHER WORD FROM THIS INEPT, UNCONCERNED, UNPROFESSIONAL CVS PHARMACY. I NEVER GOT A TEXT TELLING ME ANYTHING ABOUT MY PRESCRIPTION. CVS used to send me texts regarding my prescriptions and that was very helpful. I was trying to explain this to the pharmacist when I called so that she would understand why I was making the call, as from her tone at the onset of the call, it was obvious that she was annoyed and even resentful that I was bothering her in her busy day by calling at all. So I began my conversation with why I had to call in the first place. She said it was a glitch in the system, even when I tried to ask her if she could check to see if the pharmacy was sending me texts, and if so, if she could ascertain why I was not getting them. But no. Before I could complete that request, she cut me off to tell me that it was a glitch in the system. She made no effort to investigate this matter at all. Next, I told her that I needed to know what I needed to do to get the prescription filled, since I had received no word on whether my prescription had not been filled, or even received, via text, as was the process to which I have become accustomed. Nope. Again, she cut me off. As I was politely trying to get more information the unthinkable happened. SHE HUNG UP ON ME. See PT. 2
