The store clerk was kind and very pleasant to the customers. Everything looked fresh and the miscellaneous items were stacked nicely as well. There was a lady outside in the parking lot asking patrons for money who eventual came inside and asked the store clerk if she could use the restroom; the store clerk was polite and said yes. I overheard this exchange but I felt it was worth mentioning and three stars at the very least. When I asked if they used butter or margarine on their fantastic looking crab trays and the clerk said margarine. I appreciated her honesty but everyone knows how extremely unhealthy margarine is; margarine is not five star quality. The overall experience and interaction was five stars but the margarine is a negative one for sure and needs to be reconsidered.

By far, the best food in North Central Florida…read more Been coming here for well over 15 years. I've eaten all across Florida and I dare you to find a better fried shrimp anywhere in the South. I sure haven't. Last night I had one of the specials-- fresh scallops over pasta and it was just absolutely fantastic. My wife had grilled grouper with sweet potato fries and was so good she refused to share. Service was great. At no point did my cup go empty. My wife is always happy with the wine selection. It was quiet (we ate in the dining room) and was very clean. Nice white tablecloths as well. As much as I enjoyed my entree... my favorite part of the night was dessert. We split an incredible chocolate cake and a slice of sour orange pie. Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the area.

Our brunch experience definitely confirmed that, with a tasty twist on Cajun cooking. My husband tried the Earlton Hash. A tasty combination of shrimp, andouille sausage, a creamy hollandaise sauce and done wonderful tiny potatoes all topped with a fried egg. This dish made for a memorable brunch. He topped it off with a bottle of beer to connect the two eating periods. I opted for the French Toast. It was tender and moist. It came with very crispy bacon. The dining room is nicely furnished with stained glass sea life. They also showcase artwork for sale. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. However, the kitchen is a bit slow in service. Side note-the restrooms, while functional, could use work. And for those looking for liquid refreshments there is an attached bar, with seating behind a full wall .

I got broccoli & fries only because they were out of Mac & cheese & also out of loaded baked potatoes. In addition the line was moving extremely slow for some reason. The first thing we saw was a line out the door, which felt like a good sign--and there was still a line when we left. My girlfriend and I had never tried fish and chips, so we ordered the fried haddock basket with fries and hush puppies. The haddock had a light breading and was incredibly flaky--it practically melted in my mouth. We also tried the blackened shrimp basket, and the shrimp was perfectly seasoned without being overcooked. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to you. Despite the long line, our food came out surprisingly quickly.

Fried fish and shrimp with fries and slaw. Everything cooked to order and that kitchen has it going on. Served hot and fresh and fried to perfection and well seasoned. It was really one of the best fried seafood platters that I can remember - seriously ! The line was steady the entire time we were eating but it was moving steadily. Parking lot is currently undergoing some updates (July 2026) so be prepared when you arrive. I only wish there was a location closer to home but regardless, this place is worth the drive from anywhere in Jax and surrounding areas.

The restaurant needs a sign on SR13, as it is easy to pass. I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon to a nearly full parking lot. Interestingly, there were very few folks there. They should expand the parking lot. I can't imagine finding parking during busy periods. The restaurant was large and nautically decorated, but not tacky. Outdoor deck was a nice size, with overhead fans that minimized the heat. Dining area and ladies' restroom were clean. Service was friendly, efficient, and enjoyable. As soon as I entered, I was greeted. Shortly thereafter, I was shown to a table, told the specials, and given time to place an order. The calamari dish was excellent -- dare I say better than Julington Creek. The Tuesday 20-Piece Shrimp Dinner w/ One Side ($19.99) was a great deal. Shrimp were served piping hot with tarter sauce, sweet chili sauce, and bang bang sauce. Shrimp Shack uses better seasoning on their fried shrimp. But Outback Crab Shack shrimp are huge; taste fresher; and can be served grilled, blackened, or fried. I prefer sides like hush puppies, vinegary slaw, or mac & cheese, but the side of fries were fresh, hot, and plentiful. I was too full for dessert. Maybe next time...
