Called back today, got someone who's only object was to sell me a loan, which would have taken my mortgage from 19 years to 30 years. (Only, in my opinion, would an idiot do this.) I asked four times what it would be to refinance with them for 20 years. I finally gave up and hung up. These are scam artists to say the least. This company will only guarantee bankruptcy down the road and the government should be going after these criminal scam artists to say the least. Tried to file a compliant with the better business bureau but one cannot even navigate through theiur BS, so I could not file it.

Loan officer who pre approved me knew I made commission at my job for the past 5 years she pre approved my loan but kicked it out 1 week before closing. Mind you this would have been my second home purchase wit the same Employment history. I went back home to my credit union Ascend FCU they approved (for 10k more and no PMI) no I have a wonderful home. This lender was recommended by my realtor who I felt was trying to get me to move to a certain part of Atlanta based on my ethics background. All this is my opinion of course just this is my individual experience and still I lost $1500 so I am very upset.

The issue isn't necessarily that most loan officers suck. It's not that. They do the job the way…read morethe know how, asking for information as it occurs to them to do so, relying on a supporting cast of funders and processors to push the loan to the finish line. They make the initial sales pitch, snag the borrower, call it a day. When my wife and I initially bought a house, we figured loan officers were a dime a dozen, that they'd all essentially fulfill the same function - sell us their brand, and then set their minions to work. Our initial experience was like pulling teeth, but we figured it was supposed to be that way. And generally, I think it is that way. Chris is different. He's been working this gig for a long time, and it seems that nothing surprises him. He knows what documents to gather immediately. He knows the questions to ask upfront. He's got an incredible sense of the industry at large, and can often guess the outcomes of things like appraisals long before they come in. The end result is that he doesn't waste my time. His sense of organization is superlative. Rarely, if ever, has Chris needed to request additional paperwork from me, because he knew before I'd even applied for the loan exactly what he'd need from me. When he has needed to ask for a bit more, he's made it as easy for me as possible. And in the end, he nearly always over-performs because he never promises more than he knows he can fulfill. He recognizes that he's dealing with what most people consider their most important asset, and he doesn't take that for granted. Tldr; Chris is quick, Chris is organized, Chris over-preforms. Chris knows everything there is to know about this stuff, and he gets it done himself. I recommend him to everyone I know, and I'll never use another another loan officer so long as he's in business.

I have to say.... I'm quite glad I decided to go with these folks. My parents used them awhile ago…read morefor their home. I personally do not always go with family/friend referrals just because the idea of getting screwed/being too relaxed and not thinking thoroughly pops to mind. Instead - I usually select 2 or 3 different services and compare/ask questions before I select my main one. I would have given Prime Home a 5/5, but I recently just bought my first home so... I can't really do a comparison when it comes to Lenders. I had Phillip Oh as my main contact first since my mother knew him fairly well. He was pretty good at getting back to me via email, text, call. Response time was probably within 45 mins? Pretty good for a busy guy. You should always see how long a Lendor takes in response time because some take 24 hours to get back to you. I HATE that time frame. At first Phillip didn't really send me an email introducing himself - I felt kind of miffed. But once my realtor told him to do so, he quickly sent me an email. Apparently, he prefers to gather all data and then send an email. I guess that's fine for some folks, but not me. Once the first part of getting info for my home was done - I worked with his employee Don. Don was fine. I think I was tougher on Don since I panicked probably like 4-5x before signing on the dotted line. Hey - buying a home for the first time can be stressful. I think I lit a fire under Don a few times, but he was more than happy to make sure I felt better. Sorry Don! Oh - Phillip and Don used a secure email account for all my personal documents. Phillip & Don were able to get all my docs together quickly, make it very painless to sign papers (electronically), answered all questions, and kept me in the loop of the process. Overall - I barely felt stressed when it came to papers. My main stress - which was questions - was put at ease quickly.

I'm usually on…read moreyelp for assistance with meals but this time, I thought I'd use this app and seek assistance from fellow yelpers for something more. Of course, I rely on reviews in making a decision on who to go with. Stumbled upon this mortgage group as they're located in the same vicinity as my current residence so I decided to reach out. Reached out not only because of their 5 star rating but their positive reviews and comments. Fast forward- after submitting to them all necessary docs, a week goes by without any communication or update...so I text their loan assistant, Stephanie for update and unfortunately no reply. All I'm simply requesting is an update and better communication regarding our loan status. It's been a couple weeks and couple weekends but still haven't received a pre-qual letter. I've reached out to other brokers since and they were surprised that it was taking so long for a letter. The only communication was over a week ago when Stephanie confirmed - based on the submitted docs, everything looked good and we'd qualify for the loan amount we were seeking. So where is our update if that's the case?! This experience thus far has been nothing but frustrating and will most likely pass on yelp's assistance other than locating a good meal.
