They do the job the way…read morethe know how, asking for information as it occurs to them to do so, relying on a supporting cast of funders and processors to push the loan to the finish line. They make the initial sales pitch, snag the borrower, call it a day. When my wife and I initially bought a house, we figured loan officers were a dime a dozen, that they'd all essentially fulfill the same function - sell us their brand, and then set their minions to work. Our initial experience was like pulling teeth, but we figured it was supposed to be that way. And generally, I think it is that way. Chris is different. He's been working this gig for a long time, and it seems that nothing surprises him. He knows what documents to gather immediately. He knows the questions to ask upfront. He's got an incredible sense of the industry at large, and can often guess the outcomes of things like appraisals long before they come in. The end result is that he doesn't waste my time. His sense of organization is superlative. Rarely, if ever, has Chris needed to request additional paperwork from me, because he knew before I'd even applied for the loan exactly what he'd need from me. When he has needed to ask for a bit more, he's made it as easy for me as possible. And in the end, he nearly always over-performs because he never promises more than he knows he can fulfill. He recognizes that he's dealing with what most people consider their most important asset, and he doesn't take that for granted. Tldr; Chris is quick, Chris is organized, Chris over-preforms. Chris knows everything there is to know about this stuff, and he gets it done himself. I recommend him to everyone I know, and I'll never use another another loan officer so long as he's in business.

She has a lot of great reviews, and I do not mean to detract from that. I wish her the best, but at the same time, I thought that, in all fairness, I need to tell of my experience. My own take is that she was usually a step slower than others to respond. And while everyone else went to look at the condo before getting back to me, she didn't. Both of these may be on account of the fact that she holds down a different day job. Perhaps she has an assistant or two at her disposal, but I'm skeptical that she would be able to provide the attention that I would have needed. Others who had a good experience with her - good for you. I decided to go a different way.
