This was not only displayed throughout the service but also during the business aspect of the process. Now to fast track ahead one year after mom was buried. On Memorial day this year (2019) family went to the graveyard to pay our honors. We drove down from ATL. We were heartbroken and saddened when we got there that a headstone had not been ordered and placed on mom's site as was promised (family member). So, hubby and I called Mr. Reid (Sr) for guidance and direction (a year later!). He remembered us. His service did not stop last Spring. when mom passed but he treated us as though we were still his customers. We were very touched and will follow through with his directions. I rated this funeral home with a 4 star only because they could use an update on some of their aesthetics (looks) ... modernize the facility. The lady that I spoke with, not only tried to convince me to get things I didn't want, she also tried to convince me to sign a contract before I left. Telling me that if anyone else needs to sign, that they can come in later. I understand that they are in the business to make money, but to take advantage of someone doing this time is unacceptable. So he passed and I witnessed Posey's telling his surviving wife that friends and family would NOT be allowed to view his body, the wife only could view. The actual viewing would be in another State because the immediate family had called after the death and made changes. This broke my friend's wife's heart and she cried as she ran out. This upset me because this man paid for a final wish that he wasn't going to get. It was explained to me (not him) that the law says immediate family is brother and sisters and not the surviving wife. Brothers and sisters can change funeral plans regardless of who pays for the services or what the original agreement was. I protested this and 2 men representing Posey's finally relented and told me that friends and family now COULD view the body. This satisfied me because I believed them. In the end only the wife and 1 person was allowed into the building. You readers know it would cost more money to allow other people in, you also understand my friend asked for and paid for this service. My advice to people considering trusting these people to handle a funeral is simple... You have been warned. Buyer beware!!!

Note that most of the roadways in the cemetery are just barely wide enough for two vehicles to pass each other. If encountering one coming toward you, slow down and hug the shoulder of the road. THE GROUNDS The grounds are well maintained, and include a duck pond and meditation garden. Do be aware that, while you're welcome to place flowers and other memorials at a tombstone, the maintenance crew will remove them and throw them out once they're out of season.
