I let her know my hubby was a disabled veteran recently diagnosed wiyh cancer that had metastsized and this wedding was very meaningful to us and our family. I also messaged that my dogs had never been boarded before. I dropped them off at 7:30 Sunday morning. I got a phone call at approximately 2:10 while we were well on our way to our destination. They informed me that my dogs were experiencing seperation anxiety and if I or someone else did not pick them up they could not guarantee their safety. This is a boarding kennel that should be secure and safe for all precious pets boarded. I was told it was safe because they had barb wire above their fencing. In my mind barb wire does not equate with safety for any dog. I provided many treats which were never offered to my precious dogs . No effort was made to comfort or secure our precious dogs. We were told in no uncertain terms if we or our family members did not pick them up they would not be responsible for their safety. We cancelled our plans and turned around to rescue our dogs from this unsafe environment. They made it clear it was my fault because they were anxious and not their responsibility to keep them secure. I am extremely disappointed that a boarding j kennel can not guarantee a safe and secure environment for their clients.

I left a message. No response so I took my dog to the country vet for an issue I was concerned about and I wanted one of the vets to look at him. The girl at the desk told me it would be an additional $325 plus the expenses on top of that for the vet to look at him since I did not have an appointment. There were two veterinarians on duty at this time. A hospital is there to take care of any pet regardless of an appointment or not I thought without gouging the customer. It is the only Animal Hospital that I have ever known to put such a ridiculous additional charge just for the vet to travel 5 feet down the hall to see your dog. And I've had dogs all of my life. I'll grant you it was a Saturday morning and she claimed they were booked, but there wasn't but one or two people in the lobby waiting for service. I've been taking my dog to country vet since he was a pup in 2021. So I left country vet and road up 158 to another veterinarian place that I did not have an account with and have never taken my dog too, but they were kind enough to look at my dog and luckily everything was OK and they ran several tests but only charged me a total of $145. The exact same Service I was looking for at country vet and even though I had an account at country vet for the last four years they were going to charge me an additional $325 on top of the other expenditures that I would've had to have spent that day. Do your homework because there are good veterinarian clinics in Davie County. Shame on country vet because there are so many people out there that just could not afford an additional $325 extra charge to treat their animals that they love. So are they just to remain sick?? Beware. I have left this business and I have gone to another veterinarian up the road, which is so much better!!!
