I just want to state for the record... The person listed in…read morethe prior review, Cheryl, is NOT the manager at Green Trees Mini Storage. She was filling in as my replacement while I was away. I do not know first hand what transpired between the renter (Talulah b?) and Cheryl that would have led to such a poor review. I do know however that for over 5 years I have been the manager and have taken great pride in working with my customers. I do realize that our economy has been rough during the past few years, but to say that I don't work with my customers is totally false. We are a business, and just like any other business that a payment is due monthly, there is a limit to which we have to say enough is enough. After rent has remained unpaid for 2 MONTHS, the goods will be sold at auction if full payment, including all late fees and other associated fees, have not been paid. I wish I knew who Talulah b was and had the opportunity to speak with her regarding her unfortunate experience during my absence. We are a great facility, one of the most accommodating in the entire area. Please give us a chance to serve you. Sincerely, Jill Coloske - Manager 810-231-9446

One of the worst self storage companies I have ever dealt with. The manager, Cheryl, is one of the…read morerudest, nasty people I have encountered. They will be very accommodating when you call to set up storage, but after that - her hours are 9am-10am M-F. If you are more then 15 days late, you have to pay in Cash - they will not accept a check (regardless if you have never bounced a check with them) and she will not make accommodations to meet you outside of her 9-10am hours. At 45 days late they schedule you for auction. They do not try to contact you other then a few phone calls. They will not send a certified mail notice because they are not required by law. They will not work with you AT ALL. If you lose your job and are struggling to make payments they will not accept 'half' payments of any denomination. You pay in full or at 60 days (in cash - money orders are not even accepted) your unit is auctioned. I feel they are more interested in auctioning peoples units rather then working with their customers. They do not plow in the winter and the gate is NEVER locked. Anyone can have access to your unit off the street. Then when you do pay on time and give them a check they hold it for weeks without cashing it. It can really screw up your book keeping if you are not diligent in watching your transactions. I am moving my stuff from this facility immediately - I advise you to do the same or better yet do not even store your things with them to begin with. There is no working with you if you fall on hard times - they want to auction your unit and do not care about their customers.

What made the whole experience pleasant however was the manager of the facility, Teri. She is very friendly, professional, accommodating and she makes this place an overall stellar mini storage facility. They sell packaging supplies like boxes and tape, locks for your unit and Uhaul rental vans/boxtrucks are available for rent. There is a coded gate for entry and Teri lives on the premises which adds an additional sense of security.
