We first ordered two limonadas (lavender & pomegranate). They were both so good!! Next, we got the Bourek as an appetizer. It is like a cheesy lumpia. It was pretty good too. For our lunch entree, we both order rice bowls. My wife got the chicken shawarma and I, the beef kebab. They were awesome. The seasoning on the meats were just right. Plus, the veggies were on point. Lastly, we shared the cheesecake. The lotus cookie butter was irresistible, and we enjoyed every minute and crumb of it!

We tried the babganoush appetizer, which is an eggplant dip, served with pita. I wish the pita had more of a crisp or toastiness to them. It was very bready, but still went great with the dip. The eggplant doesn't look appetizing to most, but I love its flavor and it was seasoned nicely with some acidity/brightness to it. For our entrees, we had the falafel plate and a gyro wrap. My gyro wrap was a good serving size, and I opted for no fries/side salad since we had the appetizer. It was a traditional gyro, but I wish there were lettuce and tomato in it to cut the saltiness. I ate the leftover babaganoush with it for balance. The falafel plate was great! It came with 6 large falafels that were very crisp! Everything else in the bowl complimented it nicely. The menu has a lot of other options we'd love to try! We wish we ordered a tea or chai pot to go with our meal, or tried one of their specialty coffee. Next time! The service was great when we came, but it was in the middle of the day so we were the one ones there. Regardless we felt very welcome and looking forward to coming back!

I love middle eastern food! It is nice San Antonio is blessed to have a very nice selection of middle eastern restaurants right here throughout the medical community and medical dr. I had always wanted to try Kahramana, this was the perfect time. The building is built on a hillside, you will find the grill on the backside which is the second level, parking is right there in front of the entrance. I was greeted right away. The menu was so interesting, all my favorites, like Shawarma. Fun fact, for all of you El Pastor lovers out there, you can thank middle eastern food for the dish. After settling in Mexico, people tried Shawarma and ended up replacing the lamb with pork and we all ended up with El Pastor. I ordered the Gyros plate. It came with a green salad, rice, peta bread and a very generous portion of Gyros meat. As I was enjoying my late lunch, the owner came by with a complimentary glass of black tea. You know what goes great with black tea, an order of Baklava! Oh my lunch was so good. I think next time I will have one of their chicken kabobs plates. Bottom line, this is a good place to enjoy your favorites. If you have never had middle eastern food, this is a good place to give it a try.

At lunch the place was practically empty so I had a lot of time to chat with the get working there who was very helpful. No fountain drinks, only a very limited selection of bottled/canned drinks including Mexican coke.

If you're looking for made-from-scratch, scrumptious food that is prepared only once ordered, this IS the place! Between the three of us we had Belgium waffles with strawberries and whipped cream; the Elise breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, arugula, tomato, avocado and cheese (black beans and crunchy fried potato cubes as sides ... hubby ate half of my potatoes they were so good); and the Elise platter with eggs, pancakes and turkey bacon. I brought half my sandwich home (with the two sides I was stuffed!) but no leftovers on the other two plates. Wiped clean! The coffee was HOT and delicious. Nothing worse than lukewarm coffee in our opinion. Steady stream of customers while we were there and while a little small in the eating area, we had no trouble finding a table.

Asians love desserts that are not too sweet. I ordered both kinds, cream cheese and guava cream cheese. Omg, both are so delicious. They are the perfect two-three bite size dessert. They have a sticky, sweet glaze. I don't know if it's honey or sugar syrup, but that did not make it super sweet. It was still perfect. Service was friendly and quick. There's little tables to dine in and some outside. You can order coffee and sandwiches too. I saw that they had a Cuban sandwich. I was mainly there for the sweets and it was satisfying. Often times, I would have to go to an Asian bakery for sweets but this place did the trick. They ha e other pastries that I will have to try next time. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try the sandwiches they made. In San Antonio, they are more affordable than most, and according to the ones that have tried them - they are fantastic. We made reservations in advance (there is a $5 per person reservation fee), and the flyer advertised hours from 10am-2pm. However, when we arrived just before 11am, the restaurant was still closed. After checking in about our reservation, we were eventually seated and able to order drinks, which were brought out promptly. The buffet itself wasn't ready until around 11:45am, which was a bit of a wait, but once it opened, the food did not disappoint. There was a good variety of options, with the shredded pork and creamy garlic chicken being the standout dishes--both were absolutely delicious. The coffee was also strong and flavorful, which I appreciated. The restaurant has a warm, rustic feel, though parking is limited to street parking only. The staff seemed a bit disorganized and confused at times, but they were friendly throughout the experience. My only suggestion would be to offer a way to toast bread and bagels, or at least make that option more visible to guests. Overall, the quality of the food was solid, and despite a few hiccups with timing and organization, I'd be open to coming back and trying their buffet again.
