A mom and pop cafe of over twenty years. Recommended for breakfast. If the chilequilas are prepared the way I like them I know it is a good place to eat. Unfortunately the chips were soggy and the cheese that was on top not melted. Good flavor, but not my way The service was good and coffee delicious. I will give it a try another time.

Located south of Woodlawn on Zarzamora. Thankful for the info it's cash only but wish I would have seen it before going in. Thankful ATM across the street with a $2.75 charge. But for some business I guess even 4 square is still a little steep and cash does help keep prices down as I've seen in some places. And the prices here are reasonable and you do get a lot. The coffee is good. Not burnt but a lil dark. The creamer is liquid non-dairy. They have menudo and barbacoa available on the weekends only. We tried both and it was all delicious. They do have homemade flour tortillas that are delicious. The corn tortilla is regular plain corn The eggs they cooked to how you specify. Staff was super sweet and kind. I liked it and will definitely be back here again. I would recommend them to friends.

Standard locally owned west side taqueria that quickly serves inexpensive good tacos. The tortillas are good and held the fillings in very well. They were not as tasty as some other places, but were above average for the area. The egg bean and cheese taco was very good. The eggs were cooked nicely, but the beans were room temp then sprinkled with cold-ish cheese, which was not melted. The chicharron taco was messy and delicious. Nice chunks of meat along with a nice tomato based sauce. The salsa quemada on the table was very good. It complemented the tacos well! Didn't see the typically red or green salsa, but they were not missed. The interior is run down and bare, even for a Mexican restaurant on the west side. Not a lot of decorations or lively colors. I can see why local residents like the food, but I wouldn't go out if my way for it.

The salsa was delicious. It's kinda spicy but so good. I poured it on everything. I got the puffy taco lunch combo. Husband got the taco plate which looked more like enchiladas. The puffy tacos were full of meat and the taco was really tasty. Beans and rice were also good. The service was okay but we got there an hour before closing. Make sure you bring cash.

I only come for the flour tortillas... Best in town! Food is always yummy and I love that it's family owned and operated!

I love this place their cheese sauce is addicting and the friendly staff is always so nice! Homemade flour tortillas are a piece of heaven! Their fajita tacos to die for! They have loyal customers! It's family owned and operated, if you are ever in the Woodlawn lake area... You need to stop in and give them a try! It's also worth the drive if you aren't anywhere near that area too!

Its a second room, like a dinning area. The face of the place disguises it very well.

I sat near the wall with old artwork that has been changed to go along with the CBD type drinks they sell. I laughed at the "We can do it" painting changed to "We can Dab it!" , as well as the traditional "Have a coke" pic changed to "Have a toke." Very clever. The lady at the register wasn't super friendly. I wouldn't say mean just indifferent or possibly sleepy. I ended up with a chagaccino (love the benefits of wild foraged chaga) and some added CBD. The drink was a bit pricey. But to be expected when doing healthier type drinks. They have several enhancers like CBD, delta, kava, Kratom, or mushrooms for an extra charge. I liked the chill vibe and couch area in the back. Parking here is very rough. Infact, this is my third try since there was no parking the first two times I tried, and I didn't feel comfortable parking infornt of houses nearby. Third time's a charm. They were playing some great 90s to early 2000s jams. Some Eminem, Backstreet, and some Britney b@#$%! This is one of those spots I will have to come to early on my days off. Overall, pretty decent atmosphere and drinks with room for some growth.

We were given menus to look at while we waited so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The baked goods aren't on the menu, so when we walked by the counter filled with croissants, kouign amann, bear claws, apple pie, cheese cakes, it was hard to choose what we wanted!! We ordered: the Alamo Burger: a 8 oz wagyu beef smash burger , served with a fried egg, caramelized onions, cheese on a crispy croissant bun. It was incredible and worth the 15-20 minute wait! Almond croissant - a monster sized, flaky croissant with a generous almond filling. Guy Fieri highlighted this croissant on his DD&D show. It's probably a million calories not worth it! Tequila strawberry tres leches croissant - a small, cream filled croissant with strawberries. This was our least favorite. My husband didn't like the filling, I didn't like the sogginess of the croissant. Coffee - really good brewed coffee with free refills. We plan to go back a few more times while we're in town!!

They were nice enough to warm the cookie for me, and it had that "fresh out of the oven" smell and gooeyness. They asked me if I wanted my drinks for here or to-go and I said for here and they still served me in to-go cups, which I thought was weird. The cortado was not my favorite. It was bitter and acidic and the foam was looking a little yeasty. The mocha latte also had very little flavor to it, tasting like hot milk. I had difficulty finishing both drinks. Later I noticed they were using What's Brewing beans, and it made sense. I know many folks love WB? coffee beans, as it's a bit of a local darling, but more often than not I don't enjoy cortados made with their beans. Dirty dishes and cutlery sat on a couple of tables long after folks had left. I don't want to make assumptions, because there WAS a designated staff member for cleaning/wiping things down, but maybe those two evaded her. There's a sign on the wall that says, "I'm not for everyone," and boy are they right. They also stopped playing one of my favorite Radiohead songs (right in the middle of it!) to play Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. Now while I'm not deducting stars for THAT (because that's just downright petty), I can't help but feel unimpressed by my most recent visit. At least the cookie was delicious. Perhaps a third visit is in order. As they say, third time's a charm, right?

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.
