I didn't want to let them down so I traded today and bought another boat. I traded my 2003 Bayliner 1950 Capri Bowrider for a 2012 Harris Pontoon Boat ( cruiser FX200 ) fishing style with a 90 HP Mercury 4 stroke MPI fuel injection. Wow, what a boat...The engine is sooooo quiet and the boat runs so smoothly..As usual, I made the deal with Mike Fortu ( General Sales Manager ). He treats me like family and I picked out the boat this morning around 11AM and it was cleaned, sea trialed and ready to go by 4 PM...I have never been in any marina where they were able to do all that in just a few hours. Thanks to Billy the owner, who even helped his staff clean the boat and get it ready for me. How often do you see an owner cleaning a boat for a customer..Kudos to Billy and his staff. There service department is one of the best I have ever seen. Their mechanics are the most knowledgeable in the tri-state area..Jack, who is the parts department manager always seems to have the bayliner parts IN STOCK almost all the time. If it is not there, he has it the next day...Kudos to Jack... I can't thank Billy enough for the fantastic service he provides for me with every single boat I have bought from him. "To clean out the bed of an area of water by scooping out mud, weeds, and rubbish with a dredge." Yuck! Not very appealing... Dredge Harbor Marina, however, was a very welcoming and pleasant surprise. It's located in a very unassuming, small town USA. Dredge Harbor empties into the Delaware River. We had a great afternoon on our SUP exploring the area where the boats docked and even making our way near the Delaware. There was a bit of boat traffic and jet skiers in the River, so it was a bit too daunting for me to actually go into the River. Dredge Harbor was a nice change of pace compared to going to the Jersey Shore to SUP.

The weekend prior to them picking it up, the motor went. Yes, a 2024 Yamaha f200 with 60 hrs on it went. It was filled with water. Anyway long story short, they had my boat for over a month, didn't take care of the issues that they were initially there for. And the motor took well over the 8hrs Craig Estelle, the service manager claimed it would take. it actually took over 10 days. When I get the boat back, it's all messed up. They destroyed 5 panels of sea deck, didn't do repairs, and my motor trim isn't working properly, or the gauge. To top it off Paul Gioe, the owner, blocks my emails. I sent all the managers an email demanding the repairs to be made. And Paul calls me and tells me " We are not working on your boat. You are no longer allowed to bring your boat here. We are not dealing with a Philadelphia wise guy." He also claimed the boat looked like that when they got it. And he has pictures. But he would not send me them. "I don't need to prove you anything." This is how they react when they mistreat customers property, and the customer wants it made right. Such a circus act over there. Just be careful. Yes this is my second review on the place, but I didn't take my own advice and go to Long Island or MD.

As I was waiting for it to be done my rep and the mechanic come out and tell me I need brakes and if I wanted them to do it. I had hardly used the RV and the mechanic said that sometimes on GMC'S the brake controller is not right. Well I told them I would take it to my mechanic to have the brakes done. After I dropped the RV off at my mechanic ,they told me to come get it that I didn't need brakes . It was 3 or more years later that I needed brakes. Another incident : I had to have a new roof put on RV (over $10,000). About a year after it was done I went in for my forever warranty inspection and was told the roof needed new seals ($1200).How is this possible they just did the new roof less than a year ago. So, I had them redo seals on roof. Now less then a year later I am getting ready for a trip and my bed is wet. I go up on the roof and the seal on fan over my bed is severly cracked. Call General RV and let them know ( they only warranty seals for 3months). There answer was it was a rough year weather wise for seals. How about that for bullshit!!Every year must be a rough year for seal . It's either that or forbid I say maybe they don't know what they are doing at their work establishment. Needless to say I am going to let my forever warranty expire just so I don't have to deal with such incompetence and thievery. It a shame that we RVer's have to deal with companies like this.
