I went to JC's and explained what had happened. Even though he was fully booked for the day, he took the time to put my vehicle up on the lift and thoroughly check out the undercarriage to make sure there was no unseen damage and even put air in my tires. And he didn't even charge me for it!! What a great guy!

Went to another brake company and had all 4 brakes, rotors, and Fluid changed for $879.00. The Modica Brothers tech started cursing when I told them to put it back together. Our air conditioner was not working and we asked to have it fixed. They replaced one hose and did an Evac & Recharge. The hose cost $64.80 but labor was $388.70. Less than a month later the a/c stopped working. It was not fixed. We took it back and they said two more hoses were leaking and to replace them, add Freon, and evac/recharge would cost us another $600 plus. I was flabbergasted. I asked why those hoses weren't replaced then? The receptionist said the person that worked on the vehicle was not properly trained then she gave the phone to someone else. He said the car was old and hoses bust. I asked why weren't all the hoses replaced since he knew the car was old. He didn't answer that question but said they weren't responsible AND it would have cost the same amount ($600) if they did it then. I called him on that and said maybe it might have taken an hour more plus parts but not anywhere $600 more. He said take it somewhere else. Well yeah, they might do it for less than $600.00. Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.
