Went to Cebollines with family. The restaurant is cute and cozy. They have a small but beautiful bar and many people were seated there. For appetizers, we ordered the Creamy Mussels, Coconut Shrimp, Chicken Quesadilla, and Guacamole - all were delicious. That was followed by the Mixed Green Salad which could have used more dressing, but refreshing nonetheless, which cleansed our pallets and prepared us for dinner. Our entree consisted of Salmon & Black Bean Sauce, Crispy Shrimp Tacos, Fajitas Mixtas, and Chicken Enchiladas. Our meals were excellent, and our waitress was most responsive to our requests for more beverages. The things we did not like was the Red Sangria was too sweet for our tastes, and the Margarita was too citrusy - and the parking lot is small and we parked across the street in another lot. What a disappointment after years of going here and raving about the staff and food. The staff is still awesome. However, we make it a point to stay local when we can and even though we had other spots we could have gone to for cinco de mayo we stay true to our locals and went here for I dont know, 4-5 years now. Usually we ride our bikes and the dj is pumping Mexican songs outside, but this year with the rain we drove and entered a quiet restaurant with American 80's tunes?!?! Figured it was 3pm so maybe they were starting late this year. Staff put on corona cowboy hats and I figured it would start... nope. Girl showed up for free tequila tasting... five minutes later she left?!,!,! ??? Tables are filling hours are passing. Where are the mini sombreros we get every year? "Not until later" owner says. By the time we left we had mellow 70's band finishing their first set, zero Mexican vibes and. Our food was not prepared correctly. What happened to this fun vibe we looked forward to joining each year? Owners words " I'm not getting a mariachi band for 2 people. ". " Don't play with my Tres Leches " My delivery order was missing my tres leche, understandable even the Cake Boss could get clipped. Cebollines advised me to either get a refund in my Uber app or I could drive in myself and pick up the cake. I decided to drive to Cebollines so I could enjoy my tres leche after I enjoyed two orders of chicken quesadillas, chicken fingers, and fries. Being that my husband's favorite food is Mexican, this is one of our local go tos. The owner and staff are extremely welcoming, kind, and attentive. They just recently expanded this restaurant and I couldn't be happier for them. The food has never let us down. Never! They start you off with complimentary nachos and salsa. For apps, we ordered the Creamy Gorgonzola Jalapeño Mussels - ufff, this sauce though?! Obsessed! We almost asked for more bread for dipping lol We also tried their Pupusa (Revuelta) for the first time and loved it! I'm part Salvi so I'm picky with where I order pupusas from but, I wasn't disappointed at all. Their Molcajete Mixto is my fave, however, this most recent visit, I tried their Molcajete Marinero, as it was a weekly special & our waiter highly recommended it. It was delish! My husband had the Enchiladas Mixtos, instead of his usual fave, Enchiladas Suizas, and didn't leave a crumb on his plate. For drinks, I had a cosmo - yummy yummy (ended up having 2 ) & my husband had a Coors. For dessert, I had their weekly special, Coconut Flan & my husband, his usual Tres Leches. My husband doesn't even like flan & he enjoyed some bites of mine hehe They had live music going on when we went. We were a little confused though - it wasn't Mexican music! 3.5 : This is a really pretty restaurant. Service was very kind and attentive but I guess my dish wasn't what I was looking for. I hate when you're undecided and choose wrong. I chose the chicken tacos which weren't really flavorful and simply topped with cheese and corn. One taco I couldn't hold bc the soft shell disintegrated, forcing me to just eat it with a fork. No sides are added like beans or rice which is fine but just a mental note. Their sangria is excellent so that was a big plus. My dinner date had their quesadillas and tostones which were given a plus. I'd like to go back and give them another shot because I'm pretty sure they can do better than what I had. read more

I've been here many times and every meal is so satisfying. We came in tonight to see that they have expanded taking over the space next door. It's very airy and open and has a really cute Mexican flair to it. Would definitely be perfect for private parties. We were greeted and seated right away. They gave us 3 menus:regular, drink, and specials. We asked for bottled water which they brought us along with the standard chips and salsa. Salsa was ehhh. We ordered guacamole which is made tableside and of course yummy. My bf had the pork chop which was a special served with potatoes and asparagus. On Wednesdays and Thursdays they have a $30 special menu where you can choose your app, meal and dessert. I got the coconut shrimp which was probably the best I've ever had. I ordered the steak fajitas which I loved. So flavorful and tender! It came with rice and beans which I couldn't even touch I was so stuffed. Buuut I got churros for dessert because there's always room for dessert and you can't go wrong with churros. Highly recommend this place. The staff and owner are very accommodating and the prices very reasonable. I love the tablecloths topped with flowers and cloth napkins that most restaurants don't have any more. It's pretty hidden in the shopping center of Montauk but well worth the visit. The location is small but they do take reservations. The service was good and there is plenty of parking. The guac is a must try. A server carts its up to you table and it is made fresh. Very delicious. I tried the skirt steak which had no reason to be as good as it was. I couldn't stop talking about it. My fiancé and I had a delicious dinner at cebollines and had a wonderful server Mayra. My fiancé had the enchiladas mixtos and I had the grilled skirt steak. Both were delicious!! We thought we had found our neighborhood Mexican spot but it turns out not. We ordered the tres leche dessert and it was terrible!! A little sliver with NO leche. Dry. Seemed like it was old. It was bad. We had each a spoonful and didn't finish it. This little sliver was $8.32. It wasn't even worth $2. Ridiculously overpriced and worse than subpar. Now this review has nothing to do with our server Mayra or our delicious meal (excluding the tres leche). Our server called over who seemed to be the manager to rectify the issue. The manager did nothing about it. We found the server to be a little shocked as well, she then spoke to him and again, he did nothing about it. While We wish We could go back for the food, unfortunately we won't. Management is important and it was clearly lacking here. read more

I got the roasted vegetable platter which comes with rice and beans, and I also got a side of sweet plantains. Every single component of the plate has so much flavor!! So fresh and delicious. I highly highly recommend the veggie platter, they seriously season & cook them to PERFECTION you'll want a second plate. I ordered the same thing the second time. Drinks were yummy! Margaritas aren't usually my favorite but I LOVED the mango marg! So sweet just how I like em. Adorable little outdoor area in the lot. Came to Cebollines craving some Mexican food and hoping to find a heated outdoor dining area now that New York is getting colder. We were fortunate to find a restaurant that fit both criteria and was open late (around 10pm!). We arrived to find a few folks seated indoors but the entire outdoor area (enclosed in a light tent with ventilation and heaters) completely empty; we opted to sit outside, and the staff was super helpful in letting us move closer to the heaters! We started off with margaritas (chili mango for me, as I like spicy drinks - the chili was subtle but good!), fresh guac, and some cheese dip, satisfying a number of cravings we've all had but hadn't found it in ourselves to make at home. We also ordered the trio of empanadas, as it fit all the dietary restrictions at the table (one pescatarian, one no-red meat, and myself, who will eat literally anything... I mean that). For the mains, we opted for the salmon (very tender), the lobster quesadilla (which was absolutely *stuffed* with lobster), and some sweet plantains - all of which were fantastic. And, given that one of the other diners is keen on dessert, we were able to push for both churros (which were filled with a light cream, a nice surprise!) and the chocolate lava cake. Serving indoor and outdoor rain or shine! I ordered the MOLCAJETE MIXTO and my dad did the same. We were both very pleased. My father is a rough critic so I'm glad I chose a place where the service, ambiance and food met the criteria of 5 stars for us both! Both the servers helped us with re-filling water without of asking, and refill on chips offered as well. They were both friendly and on point with our orders and requests. The dinner was delicious! I love the way it was served :) Staying nice and hot throughout my slow eating - taste and savor every bite! Had a nice kick from the jalapeño and my father gave me his so a bit extra. I also asked for their homemade hot salsa. To me it was all just right on the heat index. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection, the chorizo had a nice flavor as well and the the shrimp were delicious bonus finds on the rice and beans. In my quest I came upon Carbolines Grill in Lindenhurst. My Order: Take out for two. I was not disappointed. The tortillas were prepared to perfection and the Pico De Gallo an exquisite compliment. Got takeout tonight - grabbed the shrimp tacos, boyfriend got the carne asada burrito, & guacamole. The guacamole came with chips, and the meals came with red salsa and jalapeño sauce. I enjoyed the shrimp tacos but wish they were made with two tortillas instead of one, each of my tacos ripped open after I added some guac to them. Small pet peeve of mine but I will make sure to ask for extra next time. I can't wait to try the larger entrees next time I go! read more

Kids cheese quesadilla (I took a bite of and wanted lol), oh the mussels were OUT OF THIS WORLD, chicken tacos, the churros, tres leche, I don't know but like legit, everything scarfed down.
