So glad I stopped in. Katherine Beaman helped me design and customize my fiance's engagement ring. It came out amazing and stayed within my budget. Katherine was great. My budget was probably lower than she's used to working with, but I never felt judged or brushed aside like I did at other shops I stopped in while ring shopping. I would recommend CD Peacock and Katherine 100% of the time. read more

If you want to purchase a timepiece or jewelry I would advise you to really do your research. Even though it is the same company, each store will tell you something different in price/policy. In the course of a few months we bought many pieces in preparation for a wedding and throughout the experience stories from each store were different. ex: 1.) one store said absolutely no discounts on cartier watches while another store granted a discount. 2.) one store granted a merchandise credit for a return a few days past the date while another said absolutely not. 3.) one store said we had a promotional gift card for spending a certain amount, another said it was a wedding gift from the store to us. etc etc Just leaves a really bad taste in your mouth when you're dealing with more than a few hundred dollars. read more

Went in to look at the speedy and was completely ignored. There were two sales people ( a male and a female) standing right in front of the Omega counter who acted as if I did not exist. I was at the counter for a solid three minutes before I turned around to approach the two sales people. As I started to walk over, the male turns and walks away towards the Gucci area and the women asks if the couple who just walked in needed help who were behind me. Is this the place where I want to spend my money? I'm actually glad that this happened to me because I would be pretty upset if this happened after I bought from this place. Plenty of other jewelers in the area, it's not like this place offers something incredibly unique besides stuck up sales people. read more

I stopped in to CD Peacock recently to squander money on a new watch - something I've wanted for a long time. I decided on CD Peacock based simply on TAG Heuer's website - they were listed as a dealer, and they were kind of on my way home. Done. I was promptly greeted by Anthony, who was very helpful and patient throughout my semi-aimless browsing. The watch (side note - CD Peacock doesn't actually sell watches - they sell "timepieces." Or, at the very least, "wristwatches." And they don't have salespeople, they have "horologists." Right.) I had my heart set on wasn't in stock, but he was able to find something that would be roughly the same weight and bracelet feel so I could tell if it would feel odd on my wrist. Once I selected, he promised it would be in stock in roughly 2 weeks, but actually had it in before a week was up. After stopping in to pick up the watch, they were very patient in sizing it - my old watch had a loose bracelet that I had grown used to, so while I wavered on whether I wanted it tighter or looser, they were more than happy to modify the bracelet several times. I hope I won't be back - it was an expensive trip. Since the price for the watch was set by the manufacturer, I can't comment on CD Peacock's pricing in general. I have a friend who had, by all accounts, a really horrible experience here, but even though I was buying about the least expensive watch (sorry, timepiece) they carried, they were friendly and helpful throughout. read more

I took a personal diamond to have mounted on a wedding/engagement set my son purchased at the Woodfield location(horrible experience..see review for Woodfield CD Peacock) I met Patricia. It was such a pleasure. She is "present" when you speak with her. She does anything she can to assist. I will definitely be returning to the Oakbrook location for other jewelry purchases. I was also told that they have a master watch repairman. Those are hard to find. read more

I've been getting the itch to upgrade my watch in a big way ever since they released the ceramic Submariners, since, well, my non-ceramic is no longer the cool kid on the block. Stopped in to C.D. Peacock today in Oakbrook to check out the larger case of the new revision expecting to be treated like I typically do when I walk into a jewelry shop... Which basically amounts to being ignored, or just generally be given the cold shoulder. (To be fair, I look very young and don't dress like someone who would be shopping here.) However, I was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly attentive and courteous Art was answering all my questions, letting me check everything out, and indulging my massive inner watch nerd. They're a Rolex authorized dealer, so, don't look for any bargains here, but if you're looking for a great guy to buy a watch from make sure you ask for Art. read more

My daughter and I came into your store with an old gift card which was kindly honored though gift cards are no longer provided here. Our salesperson, Adam, was friendly and helpful. We had a certain amount we could spend and Adam persevered; showing us jewelry within our price range (not an easy task). We really appreciated his patience. We found a lovely gold chain for my daughter. We would be glad to work with Adam Freese again, should we be so lucky to be gifted jewelry. Thanks, Adam! read more

This is the friendliest, hardest working, honest jewelry store in the Chicagoland area. Tim and Anthony have taken care of our family's jewelry needs for over 10 years. They are knowledgeable on the products they sell and stand behind your purchase for maintenance or repair after you leave the store. The quality of the products that C.D. Peacock represent are second to none. C.D. Peacock and they're entire friendly Oak Brook staff will go out of their way to treat you like family from the first time you walk thru their door. read more

I had a fantastic experience at C D Peacock. I went into the store with what I thought was a broken watch. Tim (who was great) showed me how to "fix" the watch and gave me honest advice on how to maintain it, clean it, and "fix" it again if it stops working. Tim walked me through "Fine watch 101" and provided insights on how much I should expect to pay and how to check whether another jeweler is taking me for a ride. Thanks, Tim, and thanks C D Peacock! read more

Have had two recent experiences at C.D. Peacock--both of them exceptional. Two repairs and a watch battery replacement. Friendly, attentive staff. Reasonable prices (including a complimentary adjustment on a watch bracelet and a diamond tennis bracelet clasp). On both occasions Pat Hackman was our sales professional. She was welcoming and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this jeweler for its high quality merchandise and superior customer service. read more

They are not the friendliest or very helpful. Border on rude!! Go to a jewelry wholesaler in downtown Chicago for the best prices!! Would NOT recommend!!! read more

Do not recommend Peacock for jewelry repair or sizing of rings. They will quote you one price then charge you a higher price after the work is done. Really poor way to treat an existing customer who has purchased a $9000 diamond ring at their store! Buyer beware here! read more

I bought a beautiful diamond ring here and I was so happy with the service I received. I have since brought my ring to be repaired and to be cleaned and, again, the service was wonderful. The price was reasonable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. I recommend Peacocks to anyone who is looking for a good experience. read more

I had a positive watch shopping experience at CD Peacock-Oakbrook. I worked with Gabe E. I met Gabe a few weeks back while looking to trade in a couple watches to diversify the color in my collection. I was impressed with the selection of watches that they had on hand and the variety of price points for the different models they carried. Gabe was incredibly knowledgeable about the different lines of brands that the store carried. We talked about how each watch could play a role in my collection. I went home to continue my research on a variety of different Patek and Rolex models to prioritize what I wanted. I shared my list of desired items with Gabe and he had a white gold Patek annual calendar 5146G-010, the color that I wanted in stock. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I look forward to the next time that I get a call from Gabe about something that is on my watch wish list. read more

I recently scheduled an appointment with Maria at Oakbrook Mall. The experience from the moment I contacted C.D.Peacock by email to the moment I exited the store exceeded my expectations. I'm familiar with buying watches for me, but buying a ladies watch requieres a different skill set and this is where Maria provided valuable insight. I was looking a for a professional watch for my wife, something that can tolerate some level of abuse but was exquisite and with substance. Maria presented a couple of Tag Heuer choices that were what I wanted. Maria advised me on the specifics of the watch, it's characteristics and something I would have never considered; the fashion point of view. The time piece she suggested checked all the boxes including the one that makes a fashion statement. If you need help with a high end timepiece talk to Maria, she knows what is in vogue and what works for the special someone in your mind. If you are looking something for yourself, I can tell you that Maria can certainly help you, once I completed my purchase she showed me some beautiful items from Rolex, the house brand and Tag Heuer. Well, hello customers and staff, I'm a customer for cd peacock for couple of years, spent around 40-50k in past years, not too much, but not that little either, came in to get a watch that was on sale online, they told me to be back certain day, I came back and watch was not there, not a biggy, waited 25-30mins, they brought the watch, price for the watch is over 20k, new, on sale, handle me watch (no box, no papers, just a watch for over 20k $) when it was listed new watch, I asked them where is the paper work and the box, they told me why didn't I ask about it when I was paying for it????? Are you kidding me????? Coming to jewelry store, official Rolex reseller, selling stuff for thousands of dollars, having store in prestige place like Oakbrook mall....I asked for manager, her name is Rosa, she asked me same question, why didn't I ask if this watch was for sale with papers and original box.....I honestly was speechless, I asked, if that's how she runs the store, I could tell she got uncomfortable, but she held on, I told them I will return the watch, she told me That I cannot....after all I had another sells man run and get me some sort of paper work, some other box from another watch, this was the worst buying experience, I own 3 more expensive watches and never had anyone treated me this way, place is nice, but people are awful, customers be aware, make sure you ask all The questions, better if you get answers in writing...there is no business from me or my friends at this location ever again read more

My boyfriend and I decided to stop in yesterday as we were in Oak Brook based on my best friends recommendation. I had been in with her several times looking at rings for her, however this would be my first experience. We immediately walked back to the cases and started looking. I already had a picture of a ring saved on my phone that I have kept coming back to and decided to see if I could find something similar. Low and behold I found something better. Patrica was AMAZING. she came over and took out the rings and the bands (which I never even looked at once) and was chatting with us, explaining how the process works, and etc. We explained that this was our first time looking but that I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted in a ring and certainly what I did not want. We were in there for over an hour, and she knew we were not purchasing today, yet she wrote down everything including my size, for my boyfriend. It was a wonderful experience and I cannot stop thinking about the ring that we found. I can only hope that when it is time that he goes back to CD because the experience, support, patience, and encouragement was extraordinary. read more

Awesome service! Highly recommend their Rolex technician. Saved me a ton of time and money, he was able to make a quick fix on a 13 year old watch vs shipping it off to a Rolex Service Center which would have taken 12 weeks. read more

Exceptional customer service and care. My husband and I have purchased several watches from the Oak Brook C.D. Peacock store and have always been happy with their service and attention to detail. This latest encounter was another example how great they are to deal with. I had a watch repaired and battery replaced. I arrived after the store closed (my misunderstanding) and they were still able to assist me with getting my watch and saving me another trip to the mall. Thank you. We will be back and continue to purchase pieces from this store. read more

Called and asked about two expired (Jan 2017)gift cards totaling 350$. I honestly had no idea gift cards expired,I thought it was illegal now...Person that answered phone said no way, can't redeem,no how, and not in a friendly way at all. Bummer. Customer service is dead. I would have bought and had them take off the gift card if they said I needed to spend a certain dollar amount. Bad business. read more

Horrible service!!! First, I appreciate the fact that they sell luxury watches! Okay, it took them close to 10 minutes for me to get any service. They are extremely short on staff and a "sales professional", specifically Tim Hannigan saw that I was interested in some of the Cartier and Panerai watches, walked passed me and evidently ignored me. After about ten minutes, I finally got some assistance. After all this, I walked out. I prefer to spend my money elsewhere, where they actually respect customers equally and give them the attention they deserve. read more

Very pushy: felt like used car dealer salespeople. Art seemed friendly, but only if you have a lot of dough to spend. I noticed him avoiding the customers who weren't "dressed" in rich attire. They also had a young 20-something African guy, likely Nigerian, who supposedly was their expert "Swiss" watchmaker with 20+ years experience. He didn't have anything close to a Swiss accent but was wearing cool eyeglasses, so that seemed strange. There also weren't any Swiss horology (watch repair school) certificates on his wall. After 30 minutes of waiting, he told me that he couldn't fix my Swiss watch problem--he wasn't helpful at all. He said he was clueless as to what the problem was and made excuses not to work on it. He told me to send it into the manufacturer, since he didn't have the skills to fix it! I wasn't surprised. Gina was rude and hot-tempered about giving directions on the phone. Rosetta was nice, however, when she signed in my watch. If you want your Swiss watch to still work like a fine timepiece, I recommend you go elsewhere, preferably in Switzerland. read more

Happy giving CD Peacock in oak brook one star since the space is nice. But unlike the other reviews, my girlfriend and I went in a few weeks back to look at some Cartier and IWC watches. We were completely ignored for 15 minutes...even while standing in front of an employee stocking the IWC shelves. I finally asked someone who was not busy for assistance and they said they would send someone right over. 10 minutes later, and without the slightest sniff of service, we walked out. It's a shame, as I was excited to try on a few pieces and maybe add one to my collection...but suffice to say, I will take my business elsewhere. Overall disappointing experience after reading so many positive reviews. read more

I love this place. Before my wife and I got married, we came here to check out engagement rings at the recommendation of my sister-in-law. I was very surprised by the professionalism exhibited by the store's employees. There are a lot of jewelry stores out there that will either judge you or ignore you depending on how you look. My wife and I look incredibly young even though we are in our mid-late 20s, so I was kind of expecting sub par treatment when we first visited (the store is very classy). I couldn't have been more wrong. Tim was the employee who helped us. He showed us the store's entire collection of engagement rings (from the store's personal brand to the high end name brand rings) and answered at least a hundred questions that my wife and I had for him. He never asked what we did for a living, how old we were, or pressured us into buying anything. Even though we didn't buy from him the first time, he treated us like valued customers. We returned a few weeks later after looking at other stores, and he actually remembered us and took us around the whole store, AGAIN. CD Peacock has a huge collection of rings. I eventually bought my wife a Tacori engagement ring and its matching wedding band, and she couldn't be happier. I was a little nervous because I was on a tight schedule and needed the engagement ring by a certain date, and Tim helped me every step of the way. He even gave me his cell phone number so that I could nag him about the status of the ring. Needless to say, he came through. If you want a jewelry store with superb customer service and a vast selection, CD Peacock is the place to go. They also offer to shine your rings whenever you swing by. My wife takes advantage of that every time she's near the Oak Brook mall. read more

Amazing customer service! My hubby and I popped in here on St. Valentines Day. (Background info: I've been on a massive search for a cushion cut, aquamarine ring in a halo setting with pave diamonds that extend down the band. Specific. I know! Thing is, I saw this ring several years ago when I lived in IN. When I finally had an occasion to request the ring, it was long gone. It's been almost two and half years - most would say give it up already.) Ok, back to the actual review. We were greeted by a tall, friendly, male (Anthony). He quickly offered us a beverage and asked how he could assist us. We explained what we were searching for and he immediately had several suggestions. Unfortunately, he didn't have exactly what I was searching for in the case. He did, however, go above and beyond in order to find something that I could be just as pleased with. His efforts included us selecting a setting and then he colored a diamond with a highlighter, yes, a highlighter. He colored the diamond blue, placed it in the setting and had me try it on. This helped tremendously (I'm a visual person and it's hard for me to envision things). Anthony explained once we narrowed down the setting he would have numerous loose aquamarine stones brought into the store so we could select the stone that we liked best. Wow! If this doesn't explain the lengths these people are willing to go for their customers, then give it a try yourself. I guarantee, you will walk away thinking ... this is a wonderful jewelry store on so many levels. Anthony, we will be back to see you in the future! read more

I think CD Peacock has a good selection of timepieces. They are a bit hard to work with at times, but they've been getting better over the years. I have a Panerai and they have Paneristi events here. Honestly, if you're in the market for a new timepiece, this isn't a bad place to look. Sure, there are others in the Chicago area - and you should do your homework. You won't go wrong here. I will deduct one star for price. They are hard to negotiate with and almost any other place will negotiate (or at least bundle). read more

I have turned to CDP for jewelry needs for over 30 years and thought I was given good quality and service. I do not know all the corporate restructuring that has ensued in those years but CDP is no longer a quality or ethical jeweler. Eight months ago I took a number of pieces to them for re--sizing and custom redesign I am still waiting for most of those pieces. Multiple promises were made to me and then broken because I did not get them in writing. The stress of the delays, combined with the deception and the complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction has left me shocked and devastated. I vow to get my pieces back from them and never set foot in their store again. Please be very careful. Go somewhere else. read more

Best jewelry store I've ever been in. Anthony always helps me out no matter my need, from an engagement ring for the fiancé to some surprise diamond earrings for my mom, and then my cutely jealous fiancé's diamond earrings (because she needed some too). Lol. One of these days I'll buy a watch from Anthony, because now I'm jealous at how much the girls get fancy stuff, now it's my turn! Lol. read more

Great service - not pushy AT ALL. Very helpful in guiding me to an anniversary band for my wife. I gave a budget and the salesman only showed me rings within my budget and helped give me ideas. Where the salesman really shined - is that I liked a ring but it was in platinum and I wanted to present the ring to my wife in 2 days... but it takes 2 weeks to custom-make a ring in 18K white gold. So the salesman sold me the platinum ring for the same price of the 18K ring (about $1000 less!!) and told me just to bring it back after I presented it to my wife and then we could have her finger sized and the ring custom-made in white gold. Unbelievable!! Now THAT is customer service! read more

This review is for my purchase of an engagement ring setting as a first time customer to this store. I had bought a 1.5ct diamond from a reputable online site and I needed a setting to place the diamond in to complete the engagement ring. I went around to several Chicago shops and never found the perfect store until this one. Now mind you that you don't get the lowest rock bottom price at this store, but what you do get is service. My salesman really backs me up. I don't know if it's a charade or what, but he really seems to bat for his customer. This guy bent over backwards to get me the engagement ring I wanted for my special lady. I am what you call an OCD customer. I will scrutinize and find minutias of error if you give me enough time. I'm not sure if it has to do with my job being a doctor but whatever. So, these guys and I go through 3... THREE... settings to find the perfect one. Let me explain. I had my diamond placed into 3 separate Tacori (high cost pieces) engagement ring settings before settling on number 3. CD Peacock allowed me to revise the design two times to get to #3. The first setting did not look right, the diamond was too short in the setting so we re-did the setting from scratch. The second setting was crooked to my eyes so we un-seated the diamond and sent it to Tacori for a third setting. Who does that??? Who allows the customer to go through three $4,000 - $5,000 engagement ring settings just to please the customer? It took 3 months to build my engagement ring but it was worth it. Thanks to CDP for dealing with me and the result of them bending over backwards for me? Lifelong customer. They earned my repeat business. read more

My boyfriend and I recently went here to look at engagement rings - we've just started looking and this was the third store we went to. I was not impressed with their customer service - no one greeted us or asked if they could help. We found the engagement section on our own, where we stood and looked for 10 minutes while the staff paid very little attention to us (one employee did come over for a minute, but he only made small talk about the weather and did not ask how he could help or if we would like to see any of the rings). By then I was feeling pretty indignant and decided to leave. No one seemed to care and we won't be going back. read more

Looking for a 20 year anniversary present for the wife and I. Watch for me, ring for her. Great selection of both at the Oak Brook store and Art was nothing short of great. I have purchased watches here and gotten watch battery replacements many times over the past few years. I love the customer service. Excellent customer service. Colleen was extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable, prompt. She answered my call even though I had called before opening hours, and knew exactly what I was looking for. She knew what was in their inventory, even though she wasn't even in the store yet, and let me know that she'd call me to confirm once she made it to the store. She was very efficient, gave me all the information I needed to know to make my purchase. I felt very comfortable with her. She even shipped the timepiece FedEx overnight delivery for free, so I could have it the next day. I had been searching all over the internet and made several calls to multiple stores in my state for this particular piece to gift to my husband, but the timepiece wasn't available, even for backorder, at any of the stores locally (Atlanta). I was ecstatic that I could receive the watch on such short order, with no hassle, at no additional cost (far cheaper than the mark-ups I saw on internet stores). She even gift wrapped it beautifully for us! This experience went beyond my expectation, and I would highly recommend C.D. Peacock for their exceptional service! read more

I had a great first experience at CD Peacock with Gabe, their amazing, talented, friendly watch repair specialist. Gabe came highly recommended by several members of a Panerai watch forum I am a part of. I had a stripped screw head in my watch that two other jewelry stores in downtown Chicago had said they would not touch. When I took it to Gabe, he not only managed to get the screw out, but her literally MADE me a screw in house because he would have had to order the part and wait weeks to receive it from the Panerai Service Center otherwise. Unbelievably great service, the store is nice, swanky and staffed with friendly, knowledgeable people. Definitely worth the drive to Oak Brook! read more
