I have another Sig P320 that I have in Phoenix AZ and it has Gray Guns competition trigger and Paul got the trigger on this Sig to match my Sig without putting a competition trigger kit in it. I signed up for their 16 Hour Basic Pistol - Illinois Concealed Carry Course with a friend, not knowing what to exactly expect from the class. Upon arrival my first day of class, I could tell right away that our instructors were professional shooters, had been teaching for a long time, and that I was in for an education. Our class was made up of all kinds of people: beginners, experienced shooters, military veterans, and regular people like my buddy and I. Not having much of a shooting background (except for shooting BB guns when I was a kid), I appreciated the first day of class; going over handgun safety, how to select a handgun for purchase, loading / unloading, and handgun cleaning & maintenance. The 2nd day, we learned all about Concealed Carry in Illinois; the laws, the do & don'ts of CCW, how to draw my pistol, how to conceal one, holster selection, police interactions, and what to do if I unfortunately find myself having to use my handgun in self-defense. Not being the greatest shot on the range starting out, the instructors took their time, working one-on-one with me to correct the bad habits I had (jerking the trigger, and shooting with only one eye open). I've been going to this range since the month they opened their doors, and I happily keep going back! This is the epitome of what a "clean range" should be. It has the best HEPA filters in the ranges and it never smells of powder. The employees are all so very nice and helpful, usually with a does of comedic relief. Shooting there is like going to a friend's home to shoot. They make all their customers feel welcomed, rather than some ranges (on Rt 30?) where everyone seems to have an attitude of being better than you and that you're inconveniencing them at their place of work. Every single member of staff I have met was extremely professional, helpful, kind, and friendly. One staff member in particular, Ben, is a WONDERFUL person that has helped me many times. He is extremely down to earth and easy to talk to, and is one of the reasons I keep coming here even after moving 70+ miles away. The best part of Shoot Point Blank is their range. It is clean, well kept, and well monitored. The Range Officers allow you to enjoy your time shooting without breathing down your neck. However, in the event the RO's see you breaking range/safety rules, they will address the issue in a professional manner.
