Based on tonight's experience it would be 1 Star, but to be fair it hasn't always been this bad. Service was horrible. We (a party of 2) were seated on the patio and were definitely not a priority compared to the larger parties around us (party of 6 and party of 3). We ordered side salads and a pizza (mediocre) and were there for 2.5 hours after we finally walked inside to pay our bill. When we finally left the inside was dead so it wasn't a matter of our server being too busy. Based on past reviews it does seem that they are now taking protocols more seriously. Me and my boyfriend came in for dinner tonight. Traveling from cape cod, we were unfamiliar with the restaurants in the area, and stumbled upon CC tomatoes and decided to give it a try. We were welcomed by the hostess, and made felt right at home. Jenn the bar manager gave us wonderful recommendations of things to do and places to see in the area, and our waitress, Sam, was so wonderful- recommending her favorite menu items. Some friends were up from Mass and we were heading into Concord for a late meal. I suggested CC Tomatoes. We pulled in, and, since it was going on 9pm, we were seated right away. We got drinks and their wonderful rolls right away, then ordered. I had the Tuscan Boscaola, which is tortellini, spicy sausage, and mushrooms in creamy tomato sauce. Huge portion and delicious! My friends had the steak tip salad, which I've had before, and it's great, and the five and dime, steak tips and shrimp, which looked really good! First, the critique: CC Tomatoes is not a gourmet Italian establishment. There will be no table service of freshly-grated cheese or cracked black pepper. When you order soup the waitress will toss you a plastic-wrapped parcel of crackers. The bread is heated but not baked fresh. The iced tea will be served without a wedge of lemon. Finally, a minor quibble: the plural of raviolo is ravioli; therefore, the word raviolis is non-standard (incorrect). I would expect an Italian restaurant to get this right. Second, the food: I ordered CC Tomatoes Pasta Limone (pasta, sauteed chicken breast, broccoli, in a lemon-cream sauce). The dish was surprisingly tasty. After my beverage and soup service, I was not hopeful about the entree. In fact, it was so delicious, I found myself eating up the portion I had reserved to bring home. My dining companion had a calamari dish with pasta. She reported that the calamari were cooked perfectly and that the pickled peppers balanced off nicely the rest of the dish. For the prices charged my first impression is that my meal was worth the money. I would like to try a few more dishes before I can review above 3 stars. They could certainly pay closer attention to some dining details (cheese and pepper, and perhaps a better quality of lettuce for their salads. read more

We live close to Cc tomatoes and we used to get pizza from them about once a month. It was always excellent. We stopped ordering from cc's about 2 years ago...no reason. A month back we ordered a large polo Bianco pizza and it was just ok. The other pizza places around are just as good if not better. The crust is very thin and there just is not much to it anymore. I ordered a Caesar salad tonight with double chicken. The salad is very weak! 13 dollars for 2 cups of lettuce and 4 bites of chicken. You can get a better salad at Wendy's for 1/2 the price. I won't go back there. There is nothing that distinguishes them from the other pizza places anymore. Maybe their other meals are still good but save your money if you want pizza and salad. read more

We always check out the Lasagna when we try an Italian restaurant for the first time. The food was great. What made it standout was that it DID NOT taste just like lasagna at other restaurants. It did not taste salty or sweet, but had great Italian flavors. Our waitress was very attentive and made dinning there very pleasant. The only negative we had was that a group of parents and kids came and sat next to us about half-way through dinner, so we had a harder time talking. We went here for the first time on Saturday night to celebrate my friend's birthday. She wanted "good Italian food." We are still somewhat new to Concord so I did some research and stumbled upon CC Tomatoes. It is literally 2 minutes from our house and the online menu looked decent. I yelped it, too, (because of course I would) and the reviews sounded promising. We got there a little after 7pm and it was busier than I anticipated, but we were still seated immediately at a small table for 4. The decor is cozy with wine colored walls and Italian themed paintings and fixtures. Beautiful. Our waitress was with us almost immediately. So quick, in fact, that we hadn't even had a chance to look over the extensive and creative drink menu. I went with the Dirty Tomato which is basically like a bloody mary but in martini form. My husband and his best friend went for the Hypnotizer and my friend went for the Planter's Punch. While waiting for our drinks we were served piping hot rolls which were so very good! Our drinks were delivered and they all tasted so incredibly good! The wait staff there was exceptional! Attentive and friendly as well as speedy and efficient. Their menu has everything from pizza to sandwiches to Italian dinners. My friend and I ordered the Lobster Ravioli. My husband ordered the chicken carbonara (his favorite Italian meal ever) and his best friend ordered the Rigatoni, I believe. The boys got soup while my friend and I got a salad to start. They boys also ordered an appetizer of Buffalo tenders to share. The salads were, sad to say, a bit of a let down. Large pieces of iceburg with a couple of red onion slices, cherry tomatoes and giant chunks of peppers and cucumbers. I ate maybe a quarter of it. The boys seemed very happy with their soups, however. Another round of rolls and drinks later the tenders arrived. Be warned! Those buffalo tenders were SUPER hot! I did not partake in them but every one else at the table had watery eyes and couldn't finish the appetizer between the three of them. Our meals arrived and let me tell you.... we were not disappointed! The Lobster ravioli was AMAZING. Big chunks of fresh lobster meat with perfectly seasoned orange sauce. I was able to eat about 4 of them and had to take the rest home. The boys cleaned their plates. My friend also brought home the rest of her Lobster Ravioli, as well. As we were left our bill our waitress let our friend know that because it was her birthday they were going to give her an order of fried dough on the house. So sweet! We have made the decision that we WILL be going back there as soon as humanly possibly. I highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious Italian food and tasty drinks, less than 2 minutes from home. I don't review places unless they're especially bad. Unfortunately, CC Tomatoes has reached that point. My wife and I have been eating here for years and even though their service and quality has been on the decline we gave this place chance after chance. Tonight I was put on hold for over ten minutes. When I finally got through and placed my order they said it would take 30 minutes, obviously the time was no big deal. When I arrived at the restaurant it was half empty, again no big deal. When I got home and checked my order it was wrong. On call back the woman said she would only give me a 10 percent refund and said the mix up was due them being "slammed", bullshit! I have been hearing about C C Tomatoes on 107.7 The Pulse for a number of years. I had the Sausage Soup and Mammas spaghetti and meatballs. All met my expectations of being very good and nice and hot. This is my new alternative to The Olive Garden. I will be back to try their chili and their lasagna in the near future. They said yes, and told us to come right in. However, 5 minutes before we arrive they tell us they can no longer seat us, as another party came. We are appalled at this behavior. Been here a few times traveling thru. 2 decent experiences n the last one wasn't so great. I got fettuccine Alfredo, my son got chicken fingers n my fiancé got C.C. limone pasta. The chicken fingers are awesome. The house salsa dressing is really good but the Alfredo is like heavy cream with no cheese n the C.C. limone didn't have much lemon taste to it n it was really watery. Shared dinner with a friend last week there. The wait staff that helped us was so epically untrained that it was comical. I actually felt bad for the young woman... but she didn't seem phased by how epically bad her service was. Here's the cliff notes: 20 minutes before acknowledged, another 10 before she came to tell us the bottle of wine we ordered was out of stock, another 10 before our second choice appeared with FILTHY wine glasses, another 10 before new glasses arrived [after I hunted her down to remind her], she had zero idea what the specials were, and when came back with a written list to read to us, couldn't pronounce half the words, another 20 minutes before the WRONG salads were delivered, another 10 before the right salads were delivered, another 25 before food delivered... some items missing. Five minutes into our main course, she begins asking us [a total of 3 times] if we want dessert.... while we're still eating. Then tries to take plates away before we were done. Holy crap... it was a good thing I was really there to spend time with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time. I would have walked out otherwise. The only reason they are getting 2 stars from me is that the food was actually decent. What the heck CC Tomatoes... I know that everyone is getting staffed back up right now.
