That photo brings back memories. I once ran into Chuck Scarborough when I was out shopping in…read moreWestchester. He was so polite and kind towards everyone. I was starstruck so I didn't say anything. When you're a kid, it's so cool to see a celebrity in real life. The whole thing was so normal, no pretentious behavior or "do you know who I am" stuff. Chuck Scarborough was one of New York's greatest broadcast journalists - so consistently professional and reassuring. After over 50 years, he finally retired. Whoever hired him at NBC made the right call. NBC also produced the show Law and Order - great series especially the ones with Jerry Orbach as Detective Lennie Briscoe (one of the best actors in the history of crime television; he unfortunately passed in 2004). And Late Night too. Lots of great shows on NBC.

NBC is my favorite broadcasting channel in my basic cable line up. I watch the morning shows and…read morethe late night shows. My favorite is Last Call with Carson Daley. I'm so unhappy it's going off the air after 17 years and 2000 shows. I'm watching the summer reruns and hoping I can find it on UTUBE in the future. I would love to watch the old shows from years ago. Watching it I loved to vicariously visit the Troubadour and other music venues. I got to see unknown bands and learn a lot about the latest movies, actors, comedians, and creative talents in the entertainment industry. I'm going to miss Last Call a lot. I hope NBC or another network develops a show similar. We need another show like American Bandstand or Soul Train but with the additional range of interests that were provided on Last Call. Enough said. I'm a fan of NBC anyway. For Now! Yelpers remember when I was on Jimmy Fallon Show. So much fun! See my profile photo. I'm going to try to get tickets to another show some day. If you're going to be in NYC try to visit NBC. Take a tour. You may bump into a famous face in the process. There's live music on the Plaza at Rockefeller Center. Check the Summer Concerts out too.

I've hung in with Paramount+ (a subsidiary of CBSViacom) for a few months and it's thin line-up…read moredoes not warrant putting my subscription on automatic pilot. Basically, as with most streamers you can cancel, re-up for a month or two, binge anything new and then cancel again. I hung around for their re-boot of Frasier (IMHO the best sit-com of all time) and witnessing the train wreck made of the updating, it was beyond sad and unnecessary. Without the sterling writing and tight ensemble cast, it's a quick hook and curtains for the good doctor. I also love Star Trek but you can't build an entire streamer around the reruns and a geriatric Jean Luc Picard. Finally, it was also interesting catching a few episodes of the original Hawaii Five-0 and Mission Impossible. My nostalgic tolerance for bad acting and hackneyed plots is fleeting and reminds me that a fond boyhood memory is often more pleasing than a real time reminder. Paramount+ may live long and prosper but it's in dire need of more rotating content. Dr. Frasier Crane deserved better... kudos to the rest of the original cast for staying away. Five stars for the convenience and excellent picture quality.

The filming went on for around two hours with many jokes made knowing they would not make the 44 minute post production cut. We had a great time, the show was free and parking was $15.
