Ever wanted to be followed around and constantly pestered until you buy your stuff and gtfo? Then Vitamin World is the place for you. I only go in here when I am absolutely desperate and can't wait the 3-5 days shipping and no matter how much I spend here, the store manager, I believe her name is Lorna or Norma goes out of her way to make it obvious that she is watching you in about the most comically paranoid way imaginable. Peering through shelves, standing literally 3 feet behind you and watching you touch her stuff. Sometimes I get lucky and she has a salesperson who follows me around, chattering constantly while I browse. The aggressive hospitality they practice isn't unique to Vitamin World, GNC does it too, but at least they are friendly aggressive, not acting like you just busted into their house and going through all the cabinets like Vitamin World's illustrious store manager. And yes I have addressed it with her, and I have addressed it with her salespeople. Usually as I am checking out so I can remind them that yes I am in fact a paying customer. I have even done what I normally never do and contacted their corporate office about her but they won't do anything about it. So I guess they can continue to wonder why young men do all of our shopping online and the -not vitamin world- website.

He smiled the whole time, was friendly, made suggestions, and then helped me check out fast. I've been in this store dozens of times and each and every time the people working are just fantastic. If there are deals on GNC.com they always have them reflected in the prices in store. And they always hand me coupons for my next visit. I feel fantastic supporting a small local business. These folks are a great addition to our local community and are very pandemic conscious since the store is always clean, windows free of smears or fingerprints, and they sell masks that the employees are wearing themselves. I highly recommend dropping by and stocking up on anything you might need for health and wellness.

I went in today to pick up some protein powder. I saw a sign on Rx bars that said "buy one get…read moresecond at 50 percent off". So I picked some up. After the female employee rang me up I started walking out the door and looked on receipt and found that she did not take half off the rx bar. I politely told her what happened. Her response? "I don't memorize all the bars" in a snarky tone. What the heck? She then walked over to the rx bars and pointed to the sign and said "it isn't for individual bars it is for the whole box". Nowhere did the sign say that but whatever- I am not going to argue over a dollar. I hate confusing and deceitful sale tags like that but whatevs. What made me most concerned? The employee who made the rude comment is a manager (I saw her name tag but I'm not going to call her out by name here). If the manager talks like this to customers, what are the other employees doing? How about, "I'm sorry, let me take a look at that for you"? She was rude and there are PLENTY of places to buy my protein powder and health needs without the crappy attitude.

Most sales staff now are sort of surly and ill-tempered and don't seem to know their jobs very well. For example, it took me three visits to get help with a specific supplement they usually carry, and one sales staff person never asked for my customer rewards number. When I asked him if I could give it to him after he rang me up he said no. I left the store without my item. They also seem to have stopped carrying many items I used to purchase there. I'm going to start ordering what I need online. It's too bad because I really wanted to support my local store.

The man that works there is extremely knowledgeable. He practically diagnosed me within minutes of conversation and gave me several options or routes I could take, based on how involved I wanted to be with treatment and how much I wanted to spend. I went there today and the experience was enlightening. It was the same guy, and he was very certain about what could be wrong with me. He gave me some options and commended me on my initial battle plan to attack my bout with bubble guts (I think I ate some undercooked sausage). He seems very sincere about everyone's health, all you gotta do is walk in. On a quick note, it is from my understanding that if someone is not a MD, they cannot "diagnose" "treat" or "prescribe" anything, which is why you will get "suggestions" So if this doesn't sound good to you, I suggest spending your day (and money) being climbed on by a family of 8 in the waiting room at the walk-clinic.

It's always stellar, the employees are always nice and well-informed. They're also extremely helpful, because I think twice I've asked a question, and they've walked to the product to check that their computer was correct. Next up is the atmosphere, and it's stellar. It's a clean store, sleek and never busy. You walk in and get a chill modern impression. Now, unfortunately this is where I get a bit inexperienced. I've only been to one GNC, this one. I only get energy drinks that aren't available anywhere else I've looked. I don't workout or use anything relating to that. They seem to have everything you need in stock, at a perfectly reasonable price. I'm told they have two sales a year that are so cheap, they've got several customers that stock up on those sales until the next sale. I am also subscribed to emails, and it looks like around once a week a new brand of energy drink is on sale for $1. That's incredible. OH! AND they have their own brand of energy drink. I missed the $1 sale of that, but hope to try it at some point down the line. (Hopefully it goes on sale for $1 again.) Plenty of free samples added to your bag with every purchase and they used to even throw in a monthly magazine. I did not see the magazine this time so must be out or they discontinued it.
