    Cheesesteak sub and fries

Had a salad fries and cheese steak sandwich. Really enjoyed the sandwich. At 5 on a thursday service was good. Our server was Amber and she was super friendly and attentive We were told this is a small family owned restaurant so that is why we tried it. Ambiance was bar ans grill. Casual. Also had outdoor seating and offered a military discount Would come back and try something new

This is our new local brunch stop. After wanting to try Not Another Broken Egg, where we were immediately sat for 2 people then we waited. During that 20 minutes we watching 3 other tables order and get drinks without us being greeted. My partner and I got up and walked to the other end of the parking lot to this incredible place. It has a local family own feel. A simple yet complete menu that can even service vegetarians, if need be. The chef even came around and had us sample some of the brisket, let me say tantalizing favoraful melt in your mouth amazingness. The beer and ciders on tap are a hit with me and my family. They do regularly rotate them too. We will continue to make this a regular spot. Planning a dinner stop now. Eyeing that brisket!

I've reviewed before, but I wanted to update because they seem to have upgraded a bit! I always loved this place, close knit family feel, good food at decent prices. Today I came in for a meatloaf sandwich for the first time in a while since my schedule changed to find a whole new bigger menu, looks like a few more burgers and sandwiches and a big pizza page! Also a new electronic rotating draft list, which must be much easier to keep current. My food came out fast even though everyone seemed busy, if I had one issue before was I was wary of coming here on a time restraint. The food looks amazing too! I could substitute tots for fries, always a plus in my book. I ended up trying a CA burger and it's delicious. I always recommended this restaurant before and I'm pleased to say it's even better now!

Bloody Mary and Mimosa... best way to start a brunch!

We were heading to the Mall at Fairfield Commons and wanted breakfast first! We did not want to wait over an hour for a table, so we tried CBCB! Cold Beer and CheeseBurgers! It was quiet and cute! The waitresses were very friendly and helpful, and we were able to get a mimosa and a Bloody Mary with our food! They had a decent craft beer menu that we will have to come back and try at a later time. This was exactly what we were looking for this morning!

It is a thin crust and I really wanted to like the pizza but it just didn't do anything for me. Restaurant is dated but functional. They are geared to handle big groups so, that is good if you have a group. We also got their Philly Cheesesteak sub and again...just mid. It was a big sandwich for only $9.00 BUT it was like a cheesesteak patty, not broken up like a normal cheesesteak. You had to order your food at one area and then pay for your drinks at another. Girl at the counter was relatively helpful when we ordered but when I needed to ask for silverware the two I asked just somewhat grunted at me that they were "over there" and I had to ask someone else. So, a lot of staff just not engaged staff. So, I can say I tried Marion's but I will most likely not try it again unless someone else is paying and has a strong argument why I should try it again.

Stand ON line (yep, I'm a pesky New Yorker...) and appreciate the semi "well-oiled machine" which is the ordering process here. Unless you're a regular and know exactly what you want, you'd better get a menu, because once it's your turn, you've got a split millisecond to place your order and move aside for the next hungry patron. Service is good/efficient, and you take a step back to wait for your pizza, or attempt to find a table in the HUGE dining area that's AWASH in a SEA of people who seem to appreciate this place a lot more than I did... Go wait on a second line to get your drink and then HOPE you hear you number called for your order. I did NOT hear my number, even though I was standing practically in front of the counter... NOT directly in front, as the harried, overworked cashier (manager?) who begged us not to stand in the most obvious (only available) waiting area. My 9" cheese pizza and "deluxe" dinner salad (no extra veggies that I could see under the MOUND of cheeeese) were "fine," but truly nothing "special." Yep, I'm a NY pizza snob, but I'm willing to try almost anything once, and while the TON of people working here get an A for effort, the HUGE crowd STUFFED into the large, airless dining hall, so-so food and assembly line production are not something I see myself rushing back to experience again. I'm glad the group that I came with gave me the opportunity to see what I'm NOT really missing....

But, while you're in the area, you need to eat. We were looking for Italian, and the Yelp reviews led us here. It's a small not-a-chain Italian restaurant. The ambiance isn't why you go, it's the great food! I say that because there are only 3 tables inside that can seat 4 or 5 people maximum. And it's not fancy looking. But the pizza was excellent. My adult daughter declared it was the best pizza she'd had in a couple of decades. And she's a picky eater. We all enjoyed the pizza. A especially nice touch is that they have a bulletin board where people have pre-paid for meals for people who can't afford to eat. If you are in that situation, you walk in, choose a receipt, and take it to the counter to get your free meal. It obviously hadn't been abused, as there were at least a dozen pre-paid receipts there. We really liked that community service aspect. But the only reason I'm writing this review (after the fact; sorry I didn't get photos) is that the pizza was great and the cost was also great. We highly recommend them!

The cheese had stellar pull, we had to try to scoop 3 times to put the slice on the plates. The marinara is a garlicy variety, so we liked that. Garlic gnotd were fluffy moist on the inside and nicely baked on the outside. The staff was all so nice! We definitely will be adding them to our regular choice board for our family!

The closest thing I can compare the taste too is perhaps Flying Pizza, but better imo, I'd never go there again tbh and just come here instead. Plus reheatability is pretty legit too with an air fryer. I think they'd make way more bank though if they sold by the slice, but if you're looking for a legit NY style pizza then this is your spot!

When they closed, I was thrilled to hear they reopened in Fairborn, especially since it's right where I live. The first time I tried the Fairborn location, it was everything I remembered and loved. Unfortunately, the quality and flavor have slowly gone downhill since then. It just doesn't have that same authentic taste that made me fall in love with Verona's in the first place, which is disappointing because there aren't many great New York-style pizza options in the Dayton area. I really hope they bring back that original consistency and attention to detail, because when Verona's is at its best, it's unbeatable.

I am so used to pizza toppings being not only scarce, but arranged as if they were shot out of a cannon. As you can see from the picture, not only were the toppings generous, but they were arranged as if it were for a glamor shot on a cooking show. The pizza was absolutely delicious. The crust was tasty with just the right consistency. The sauce and cheese were perfectly proportioned, as were the toppings. This is a locally owned gem, and I highly recommend you give them a try.
