We decided to stop by here after church on Sunday. They serve breakfast until 1 on the weekends, which is perfect for our family. The burgers were great. I don't usually like burgers, but decided to get the whiskey burger, it was really good. The menu says they will cook the burger in a range from medium to well. I asked for mine, "as red as I can get it." It was perfect. My husband ordered the fricso melt, that sauce is amazing! The crinkle cut fries were nice and crispy and delicious. My daughter ordered a turkey club, which came with homemade chips. I will definitely sub fries for chips next time. We also ordered a breakfast burrito to share just to try it out. It was really tasty. The salsa was on the sweet side, but still very good. Their house made ranch and chipotle ranch was so good. We don't usually order dessert, but for some reason decided to get some today. The fried cheesecake was tasty, but the brownie sundae was so, so good. My husband and i are staying at the hotel near by and decided to grab a quick bite. Heather waited on us and she was wonderful. We ordered onion rings and fajita steak quesadilla for us to share. Heather suggested the chipotle ranch sauce to go with the onion rings and that sauce was delicious. The quesadillas were REALLY good! Glad we shared both. We sat outside on their patio and enjoyed watching cars drive by while country music played over the outdoor speakers. This seems like a good place for Happy Hour. This restaurant was a new try for us on the day of Black Friday shopping. We'd never heard of the place and everyone thought burgers sounded good. I wasn't impressed from the moment we walked in. We waited a while to even get menus but there weren't a lot of people inside. We figured out later that our waitress was also the bartender so she was being stretched thin. After our drink orders were given, it took at least 5 minutes to actually have the drinks on the table. Our actual food also took over 40 minutes. The food was just average. Nothing stood out as amazing. My food wasn't cold but it wasn't hot either. Everything was just subpar. We all had leftovers but no one wanted to bother taking them. The wings are awesome. I really loved the cbcb style wings as they come breaded with the perfect amount of heat. There is also a great selection of rotating beers to choose from. Great little hole in the wall. When my company sends us out to ohio for training, we stay in hotels near this bar and we always make it a point to stop by. This place is super laid back, had great daily specials on drinks, and pretty good food. They also host a trivia night which is a hit with my work group. Would definitely recommend giving this place a chance. They typically don't have a lot of traffic all at once, so if you plan on going with a group of more than like 6-8 try to call ahead to give them a heads up. read more

This is our new local brunch stop. After wanting to try Not Another Broken Egg, where we were immediately sat for 2 people then we waited. During that 20 minutes we watching 3 other tables order and get drinks without us being greeted. My partner and I got up and walked to the other end of the parking lot to this incredible place. It has a local family own feel. A simple yet complete menu that can even service vegetarians, if need be. The chef even came around and had us sample some of the brisket, let me say tantalizing favoraful melt in your mouth amazingness. The beer and ciders on tap are a hit with me and my family. I've reviewed before, but I wanted to update because they seem to have upgraded a bit! I always loved this place, close knit family feel, good food at decent prices. Today I came in for a meatloaf sandwich for the first time in a while since my schedule changed to find a whole new bigger menu, looks like a few more burgers and sandwiches and a big pizza page! Also a new electronic rotating draft list, which must be much easier to keep current. My food came out fast even though everyone seemed busy, if I had one issue before was I was wary of coming here on a time restraint. The food looks amazing too! I could substitute tots for fries, always a plus in my book. I ended up trying a CA burger and it's delicious. Would like to recommend. The food is great, when you are able to get it. The last time my wife and I were there we were there for 1:45 hours. In that time we had a total of two berries two pops and an appetizer. Never got our burgers or sides and left since we overheard the manager (who was sitting outside listening to the live band) say that there was only one person I the kitchen. First time here and won't go back, even though the place was popular when we went. Burger had cold bacon and was very average. Crinkle fries were unoriginal and could easily be made at home. There also was only around a handful of fries given. The steak quesedilla was super greasy and I had to send it back because they got my order wrong. I ordered a half order with no peppers and they gave me a full order with peppers. Ordered a grilled chicken salad instead of another quesedilla to replace it and food took forever to get to us. We waited 40 minutes for the burger and quesedilla and 20 minutes for the salad. Salad had dry chicken with little flavor and iceberg lettuce. Not a good salad at all. There was a tooth pick on top as well for some reason. The waitress did comp my meal and she was very apologetic so we still gave her credit that she really tried to help. First a disclaimer: I know many people Yelp about everything, and maybe I should as well simply because it adds to the wealth of experiences with businesses. Honestly, I will only write a review when I am impressed at least once, or disappointed twice. Sounds odd, but I like to give the benefit of the doubt with places as we all have bad days. Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I am on a constant quest for a good burger. Yes, I know there are plenty of chain places with decent burgers (Steak n Shake and such), but I have always found that smaller places have much better burgers, and some might even say the best. And CBCB is just that small place! CBCB stands for Cold Beer and Cheeseburgers. WIth a name like that, I would expect the place to have exactly what it is named, and I was NOT disappointed in the slightest! It took all of about a minute (if that) for my server to attend to me. It wasn't busy (again...thanks to COVID, and I don't mean that in a complimentary way), so I don't know how service is during busy periods, but after what I describe next, I can't imagine it would be much different. I received the menu, cutlery, and napkins almost immediately. Now, the first thing I notice about the menu is not what is offered, but how many selections are available. I have found that when there are an over abundance, quality across the board suffers. Not so at CBCB. First off, it's more or less a sports bar, therefore the expected sports bar food is on the menu. If I were coming here for a snack at the bar and catch up on the games, fried pickles and beer would be amazing. At any rate, there are 10 items on the starter menu. Which is actually a decent number when you consider that some of the starters are interrelated. That means adjusting from one menu item to another only involves a few extra ingredients. That makes it easy on the chef to send out items quickly. So, here is my impression of their burgers (picture me sizzling...j/k): First of all, it came out HOT. Nicely hot. They didn't put ketchup or mustard on it, but they did hit the toasted bun with some mayo, as well as topped it with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. They put the ketchup and mustard on the side. I certainly didn't complain. I like to finally dress my burgers anyway, and I do believe it's because doing so allows me to enjoy the smell from the steaming burger more...and this burger came out steaming, and with good grill marks. So I dressed it, and immediately sank my teeth into it. What did I find? Nothing but perfectly cooked burger. Only very slightly pink in the center, which is what I suppose is considered "medium", but I do believe it to have been more of a medium-done. Regardless, it was hot, juicy, and smelled so so so good. And the taste did not disappoint at all. In other words, exactly what I wanted. The fries that came with the meal were crinkle cut, and HOT. Which means perfect. I also had a beer. Gotta in a place like CBCB! The beer I had was Home 4 Holidays. It's a darker beer, more of an amber, but with nice hints of spices and the overall pallet is warm. It's 7.5 abv, which is above average, but not so high that it overshadows the flavor. Honestly, a good beer and I highly recommend it, especially if they have it when you come here. Overall, I had a great experience! One thing I will try from their menu is a classic pub food I thoroughly enjoyed when I was stationed in the UK: fish and chips. I do hope they serve it in a similar fashion with the malt vinegar, but I am not expecting it to come out in paper, as it does in the chip shops in the UK. I do want the flavor to be close (this is America, so flavors tend to be a little different, but not by much...as long as it is close, I'll be happy), but if I ever want a really good burger, this is the place I will drive to, even if it is 40 minutes away from my house. Overall experience was good. Took the wife and two kids, service was a tad slow and it was somewhat difficult to understand our waitress. Some of our food came out well after they brought our meals, not a huge problem. Lots of craft beers, not many on tap. Burgers were above average but not what I thought a place named after burgers would be. I had the Late Riser Burger and the wife had the Guacamole Burger. Both were decent, again not much to write home about. Also, fries were not very good and the onion rings were average. The kids menu could use a few more choices (only had four). 1 star for food it was good and most important hot. 1 star for menu and daily special prices. I would love to give them a 5 star but maybe in time they will earn it from future customers.
