He came to give me an estimate on Saturday and spent five hours on Sunday cleaning up our entire garden. He came back to edge and mulch the garden, front and side yards. Now he returns weekly to keep things neat and trim. Reasonably priced and he's a nice guy who does excellent work.

I wish I could say I had a positive experience, but unfortunately, I feel compelled to share what happened. If you are considering hiring this company, please read this before you do. Read the language from the signed proposal: The scope of work states: Removal of all plant material that is not a pine tree from the back tree line, roughly 8 feet deep. Plant material includes: Vines growing in the trees All other small material growing in and around the line of pine trees Leave trees 2" caliper or larger in the specified area to the left of the pine tree row. Remove all other material in the specified area. None of the materials were removed. Here is what happened after I raised the issue I notified the company representative on the day of service, June 18, that the work had not been completed as outlined in the contract. June 30: Received a text saying someone would come out to inspect the work. No one showed. July 8: Sent a follow-up text. No response. July 13: Sent another text. No response. July 20: Sent another text. No response. July 28: Finally received a response saying I would receive a call. No call. August 8: Received a text stating that, according to the contract, the area beyond the yard was not included in the scope of work. I then called the office on August 10 and asked to speak with a manager. I received a call from someone new who said he would come out to inspect the work. He never came out. And then came August 12. I received an email reiterating the language of the contract quoted above. I questioned how the completed work matched that language. The matter was then forwarded to the owner, who was apparently out of town. Rather than sending someone to inspect the work or addressing my concerns, I received a threatening email demanding payment by 5:00 PM today or stating that they would place a mechanic's lien on my property. So, after nearly two months of trying to get someone to simply come out and look at the work (pay the bill), this is how the situation is being handled? THIS IS HOW YOU RUN A BUSINESS? I am sharing this experience because I believe customers should know exactly what they may be dealing with before hiring this company. Read the contract language. Look at the photos. We don't think the problem was intent but the lack of professional, dependable workers and organization. Colt extended our driveway and laid a concrete walkway from the patio door around the house connecting with the extended driveway. The project was delayed here and there due to weather, concrete delivery and dependable workers. The end result was good but the sod was torn up in the process and we had to pay extra to correct the areas where the concrete was laid so it would look presentable. We were continuing to work with him because he was friendly and even though the work took time, again it was o.k. Lastly, we paid him close to $10,000 for our projects and he just stopped communicating with us including not returning phone calls or emails. We also received a letter from Marysville stating that he did not complete the permit process before doing the work, nor paid for the permit. We tried to contact him about the permit with no reply. As a result, we completed the paperwork and paid for the permit instead of him doing it prior to starting the work. We think Colt's business has potential to be productive but needs improvement in professionalism and organization, you surely don't ignore customers who have in good faith given you nearly $10,000. The end result of the projects are pretty good but he needs to include the cleanup or restoration in the price so customers will be aware it will cost additional money to make the property look presentable after the project. He showed up the day he said he would to do the work and he and his helper worked all day in the hot sun to complete the work in one day. Eric has followed up with us in the week or so since the work was done to make sure the grass seed has germinated. I will update this review once he completes the feeding in a few weeks. But so far we are very pleased with Pro Green Landscape.

He dropped off plenty of his cards for us, asking us to let anyone we knew about his service so he could drum up more business. Unfortunately, that was last year. Now that Eric has business and a busy calendar, he no longer seems to have time to even respond to text messages. He put us on his calendar for some work on 4/25 after repeated attempts to follow up with him, but after texting him the day before and the day of, he's effectively ghosted us. We were important clients for Eric before his business took off, but now that he has the wheels in motion, he doesn't even show up for an on calendar booking or follow up with us saying he can't make it out- nothing. We basically don't exist to him anymore, or at least aren't even important to his business enough for him to bother with rescheduling. Mr. Hesson, if you are going to do this to any more of your clients, I'd recommend you not leave them with a stack of your business cards.
