The food is so good at Cazadores, I honestly feel like I am eating a meal in Mexico. Flavors are wonderful and the staff are so nice.

wonderful authentic Mexican food. my Carnitas was nice tender lean meat with a rich flavor. My husband had the Philly Cheese Buritto and said it was delicious and the best Mexican food he has had outside of Mexico. The guacamole was absolutely freshly made, large portion and fabulous. salsa has a fresh taste also and just the right amount of kick. We are walking out stuffed and happy, new to the area, this is a fresh find for us and we will definitely be back! read more

A medium sized place, with semi authentic decor and slightly too loud Mexican music, but overall I'd say the ambiance was pretty good. Our server was a nice guy and got us our food pretty quickly. For a group of 8 everything came pretty fast. Everything tasted good and was well priced, at least for lunch. The restaurant being accessible from inside the mall was nice as well. read more

I wish I could give a zero. Gentleman who acts like a manager took my to go order. I wanted a bean and cheese burrito for son, a chicken burrito for me. Repeated the order many times as he tried to get me a beef and cheese burrito. We don't eat beef. Order was all wrong. Drove all the way back after phoning and explained the mistake. Repeated the order to her. Drove all the way back and they hadn't started my order yet. Repeated the order and because I ordered hot salsa...wanted to charge me more. Explained 2 more times and then the lady and man who originally took my order started arguing. Food finally arrived. No silverware and cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. I SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH AND ORDERED IN SPANISH AND THEY STILL COULDNT GET IT RIGHT. Go do not walk, run to taco bell!! Blond young lady was very helpful and she should manage this restaurant. Garbage. The food was lukewarm at best. We ordered cheese for the chips and it came after our supposed food. I can chalk that up to the language barrier that existed. I don't like to complain about the food as we gave this place a try and it was awful. I was ok leaving it at that. I didn't tip the waiter or the cook based on this experience alone. Signed my slip with a zero tip and lo and behold there's a 10 dollar tip added to the meal a few days later when it clears my bank account. It's theft and wrong. So lesson learned, they must have needed the 10 bucks more than I did but I will not be returning. Ever. Suck it. read more

Food was awesome. Service was the worst . 20 minutes to get asked even what we wanted to drink. By that time we were ready to order. So we got our order in. 15 minutes later he asked if our oder was right. We spent a total of an hour and 40 minutes there. A total of an hour and 20 minutes waiting to be asked what to eat and to get our food. The servers were rude. I would not suggest going there, unless you like waiting a long time to be noticed. I love Mexican food and I LOVE authentic Mexican cuisine. This was a far cry from authentic Mexican food. I ordered the burrito carnitas and it was very salty and lacked flavor. We just had dinner here tonight and I honestly cannot say one good thing about our experience. The service was extremely slow. It took forever for us to get our food. We had no forks. No refills on our beverages. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and there was a piece of some kind of animal fat in it. The music was quite loud. When we went to pay our bill one of the servers was using foul language with another server right in front of us. It was a bad experience all around. It's too bad because I've been told that this was a good place at one time. read more

Best Mexican food I have had in the area. Discovered it about 2 months ago and have been coming back at least once a week! Portions are generous, service is great, and the chips and salsa are on point. My favorite by far has been the enchiladas. My wife usually gets fajitas. Rice and beans are excellent too! read more

Good food, especially for all the way up here, get the asada tacos, they were great. Looking at the other reviews I thought service would be bad but I was proven wrong, server was nice and efficient. I live near Cazadores and consider myself a regular so this may be a bit biased. I've seen the good and the bad, but the one consistent.. I keep going back. I've never been sick, only happy and full! The waitstaff are super friendly, sure they can be slow at times but also fast! The food is better than most other restaurants that get their food off of trucks in Minnesota. The waitstaff always come by to check up on me, say hi and even go above and beyond to make me special favors, some that I request and some that they surprise me with. Michalada's!! I keep going back because it's worth it for me, the food and the price and the taste. It's the service industry, I've been there when they've been on and efficient and I've been there when they've been slow and forgetful, but I too used to bartend and wait tables and I'm guilty of it as well. Authentic Mexcan food, very good! The Enchiladas Poblanos were especially good because the mole sauce is homemade. The guacamole and pico de gallo were fresh, as was the salsa. This review comes from someone who is originally from California and is very used to a variety of Mexican food. This place is about as traditional food as you will get in Northern MN. The restraint seems to be family owned and the food is made by Mexicans, which is a good thing! I've been to restraints where the Mexican food is made by white people and doesn't taste authentic. We stayed at the Lodge at Giants Ridge for the weekend and really wanted some Mexican food. I blindly picked on from my phone and what a nice surprise! The owner was just a doll and made sure everything was perfect. I had the carne asada taco plate and my boyfriend had the enchiladas. Both were delicious. Not authentic Mexican. And service was less than impressive. It's pretty average food. I make way more authentic Mexican food at home and I'm only quarter Mexican. My husband and i went for lunch. When we got there we stood at the the front with no one to even notice we had walked in. We finally say down and noticed a sign that said "ONE basket of chips and salsa per table. Extra are $3.00 each." In my opinion part of the Mexican restaurant experience is having Complimentary all you can eat chips and salsa. They weren't that great anyways and neither was the cheese dip. I had to ask for lemons for my water twice. He finally brought out limes and not lemons. My husband ordered a chicken burrito. He got steak. And our waiter seemed very unhappy and made us feel like he didnt want to serve us. Like I said, even besides the poor service, food isn't authentic. read more

Recently opened AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. I stopped here for lunch with my cousin in July. Excellent food, decent sized portions, and did I mention AUTHENTIC mexican? This has to be the best mexican food on the iron range. They appear to be a family run restaurant, and are located in the thunderbird mall. I would highly recommend them to anyone that travels thru or lives in Virginia. Great food and reasonable prices. read more

I have been here four different times and the food is always good. We have had the tacos and many of the other dishes on the menu and they have not disappointed. The service is a little slow, and sometimes the English to Spanish translation is mixed up in the kitchen, but they alway correct the error. Went here for dinner. Food and decor were decent. However, I don't think the server knew how to do anything properly. Stopped in for lunch hoping for some decent south of the border fare. I should have taken the hint when no one was around to seat us. The service didn't get much better from there. Pretty slow getting to us and even slower getting us our food. While the menu looks very interesting, the food proved otherwise. My wife had a simple combo, chicken enchiladas and a beef taco. In a word - flavorless. The ground beef was just that, no spices or flavorings at all. We have a family descriptor for the chicken - boiled chicken feathers, again, flavorless. I had the Chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. Mediocre. The mole is overly sweet, lacking some of the picante or zest I like. Someone who has never eaten mole might be intrigued by the strong hints of chocolate, I found them to be a bit much. Looking for good mexican here in the northwoods? Keep looking. read more
