I'm a Colorado gal always in search of good Mexican food and Cazadores did not disappoint! Like their ambiance, margaritas, and enchiladas. Rojo sauce is good for Minnesota. Always stop in when in the area read more

Here on a work trip and tried this place. Chips and salsa are very good. Was here for lunch so I tried the 3 beef hard tacos, I specifically asked if the taco shells are fried in house or bought and she said fried in house. My food came and they were definitely store bought corn shells, very disappointed. I will say they were still good despite the shell. Id come back, just won't order the hard tacos again. read more

Good food okay price service is okay not a bad time there will be back I enjoyed my time there

Fast, friendly service! Great lunch options and an extensive menu. The beef tacos and enchiladas are seasoned perfectly and they do have hot sauce for those who may want to spice things up. The chicken flauta was the best! Perfectly crisp with the chicken inside, shredded, tender and juicy. Cute decor and a comfortable place to have great food! Wishing we had a Cazadores in Ely! read more

The food is so good at Cazadores, I honestly feel like I am eating a meal in Mexico. Flavors are wonderful and the staff are so nice.

wonderful authentic Mexican food. my Carnitas was nice tender lean meat with a rich flavor. My husband had the Philly Cheese Buritto and said it was delicious and the best Mexican food he has had outside of Mexico. The guacamole was absolutely freshly made, large portion and fabulous. salsa has a fresh taste also and just the right amount of kick. We are walking out stuffed and happy, new to the area, this is a fresh find for us and we will definitely be back! read more

Surprisingly decent selection of semi authentic Mexican food. Atmosphere was nice. Nice decor. There was a family with demonic kids, but guess that's not their fault. read more

Cazadores Restaurant - a view of the dining room - Mexican Near Me - Virginia, Minnesota

A medium sized place, with semi authentic decor and slightly too loud Mexican music, but overall I'd say the ambiance was pretty good. Our server was a nice guy and got us our food pretty quickly. For a group of 8 everything came pretty fast. Everything tasted good and was well priced, at least for lunch. The restaurant being accessible from inside the mall was nice as well. read more

If I could give it a 0 I would. Ordered online for pickup and when we got there both burritos were wrong. Went back and to get it fixed and it still came out wrong. The one we got fixed was so soggy you can't even pick it up. 10/10 would not recommend this place read more

I wish I could give a zero. Gentleman who acts like a manager took my to go order. I wanted a bean and cheese burrito for son, a chicken burrito for me. Repeated the order many times as he tried to get me a beef and cheese burrito. We don't eat beef. Order was all wrong. Drove all the way back after phoning and explained the mistake. Repeated the order to her. Drove all the way back and they hadn't started my order yet. Repeated the order and because I ordered hot salsa...wanted to charge me more. Explained 2 more times and then the lady and man who originally took my order started arguing. Food finally arrived. No silverware and cold. Cheese wasn't even melted. I SPEAK FLUENT SPANISH AND ORDERED IN SPANISH AND THEY STILL COULDNT GET IT RIGHT. Go do not walk, run to taco bell!! Blond young lady was very helpful and she should manage this restaurant. The worst. read more

Garbage. The food was lukewarm at best. We ordered cheese for the chips and it came after our supposed food. I can chalk that up to the language barrier that existed. I don't like to complain about the food as we gave this place a try and it was awful. I was ok leaving it at that. I didn't tip the waiter or the cook based on this experience alone. Signed my slip with a zero tip and lo and behold there's a 10 dollar tip added to the meal a few days later when it clears my bank account. It's theft and wrong. So lesson learned, they must have needed the 10 bucks more than I did but I will not be returning. Ever. Suck it. read more

Food was awesome. Service was the worst . 20 minutes to get asked even what we wanted to drink. By that time we were ready to order. So we got our order in. 15 minutes later he asked if our oder was right. We spent a total of an hour and 40 minutes there. A total of an hour and 20 minutes waiting to be asked what to eat and to get our food. The servers were rude. I would not suggest going there, unless you like waiting a long time to be noticed. The vibes there were just not cool with the staff. The area was nice with music but the female staff there was horrible . read more

Chicken fajitas were really well done and I loved the enchiladas. I'll stop again. I'm not pretentious enough to care about "authentic". The flavor was great. read more

The last 2 times we went, we had amazingly good food. Even the seafood was perfection. Kiddo liked the cheeseburger too. Affordable and great service! read more

I love Mexican food and I LOVE authentic Mexican cuisine. This was a far cry from authentic Mexican food. I ordered the burrito carnitas and it was very salty and lacked flavor. Other people in my party also complained that they did not enjoy their meals. Honestly I would have given it one star but they did have excellent service read more

We just had dinner here tonight and I honestly cannot say one good thing about our experience. The service was extremely slow. It took forever for us to get our food. We had no forks. No refills on our beverages. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and there was a piece of some kind of animal fat in it. The music was quite loud. When we went to pay our bill one of the servers was using foul language with another server right in front of us. It was a bad experience all around. It's too bad because I've been told that this was a good place at one time. read more

Best Mexican food I have had in the area. Discovered it about 2 months ago and have been coming back at least once a week! Portions are generous, service is great, and the chips and salsa are on point. My favorite by far has been the enchiladas. My wife usually gets fajitas. Rice and beans are excellent too! read more

Food is yummy and service has improved alot! Great place to eat in town!! One of my favorites!

I live near Cazadores and consider myself a regular so this may be a bit biased. I've seen the good and the bad, but the one consistent.. I keep going back. I've never been sick, only happy and full! The waitstaff are super friendly, sure they can be slow at times but also fast! The food is better than most other restaurants that get their food off of trucks in Minnesota. The waitstaff always come by to check up on me, say hi and even go above and beyond to make me special favors, some that I request and some that they surprise me with. Michalada's!! I keep going back because it's worth it for me, the food and the price and the taste. It's the service industry, I've been there when they've been on and efficient and I've been there when they've been slow and forgetful, but I too used to bartend and wait tables and I'm guilty of it as well. Overall, I say 4 out 5 because I've been here 30+ times. Miguel read more

Always been a favorite of mine. The service was great and food wonderful. I have been disappointed in both lately. Will give it some time and try again- hoping it gets back to the level we have always enjoyed read more

This place sucked. The server pretty much forgot about us and the food was terrible. Some of the worst Mexican that I've ever had. Not much flavor, lots of grease and it was cold. Go elsewhere, you'll be glad that you did. read more

First off fuck the vegetarian lady who gave this place a one star review. She came in miserable and clearly left that way. Good food, especially for all the way up here, get the asada tacos, they were great. Looking at the other reviews I thought service would be bad but I was proven wrong, server was nice and efficient. Overall enjoyed the food and once again fuck the vegetarian lady. read more

This review comes from someone who is originally from California and is very used to a variety of Mexican food. This place is about as traditional food as you will get in Northern MN. The restraint seems to be family owned and the food is made by Mexicans, which is a good thing! I've been to restraints where the Mexican food is made by white people and doesn't taste authentic. Good food, good atmosphere. Customer service is good as well. read more

Authentic Mexcan food, very good! The Enchiladas Poblanos were especially good because the mole sauce is homemade. The guacamole and pico de gallo were fresh, as was the salsa. This is the second time we have driven around 60 miles round trip to eat at your restaurant and you were closed again. I checked your web page and you were suppose to be open. Are you closed on Tuesdays?? read more

Always amazing food! This is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant around. The fajitas are on point as are the chicken quesadillas. Always excellent customer service. read more

This place has really gone down hill. It was pretty good in the beginning, but service REALLY lacks now. Prepare to wait and be ignored if you're going to eat here. I'd rather go to the Mexican restaurant downtown. read more

We stayed at the Lodge at Giants Ridge for the weekend and really wanted some Mexican food. I blindly picked on from my phone and what a nice surprise! The owner was just a doll and made sure everything was perfect. I had the carne asada taco plate and my boyfriend had the enchiladas. Both were delicious. If you like it hot, ask for the extra hot sauce. We loved it and will go back next time we are in the area. read more

Not authentic Mexican. And service was less than impressive. It's pretty average food. I make way more authentic Mexican food at home and I'm only quarter Mexican. My husband and i went for lunch. When we got there we stood at the the front with no one to even notice we had walked in. We finally say down and noticed a sign that said "ONE basket of chips and salsa per table. Extra are $3.00 each." In my opinion part of the Mexican restaurant experience is having Complimentary all you can eat chips and salsa. They weren't that great anyways and neither was the cheese dip. I had to ask for lemons for my water twice. He finally brought out limes and not lemons. My husband ordered a chicken burrito. He got steak. And our waiter seemed very unhappy and made us feel like he didnt want to serve us. Like I said, even besides the poor service, food isn't authentic. read more

Used to come here a lot when it first opened. The service was great and so was the food. After the new owner took over service went downhill. Prices on the food went up and quality went down. Will probably not come here anymore. read more

Recently opened AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurant. I stopped here for lunch with my cousin in July. Excellent food, decent sized portions, and did I mention AUTHENTIC mexican? This has to be the best mexican food on the iron range. They appear to be a family run restaurant, and are located in the thunderbird mall. I would highly recommend them to anyone that travels thru or lives in Virginia. Great food and reasonable prices. read more

Could be way better. Food is good but service is beyond awful. Hire new servers and this place would be 5 star.

This is my second update. On my last visit, the service was horrid. I had heard rumours that the place was done up with new employees and updated. Decided to have a go at it again. I'm happy to say that the service was excellent and the food was great. Hopefully, this is a positive trend. The place was fairly busy as well. read more

Decent-to-exceptional Mexican in a thoroughly depressing, mostly empty mall. Great fajitas, attentive staff, and ample parking. We ate here twice, had the same server each time, he was a gem. If you're in Virginia, it's worth a stop. read more

My wife and I love the carne asada and salsa is always terrific!

I have been here four different times and the food is always good. We have had the tacos and many of the other dishes on the menu and they have not disappointed. The service is a little slow, and sometimes the English to Spanish translation is mixed up in the kitchen, but they alway correct the error. I would recommend this place to all who want a good place to relax and eat with friends and family. read more

Went here for dinner. Food and decor were decent. However, I don't think the server knew how to do anything properly. It was excruciating to watch how bad the service was including a spilled margarita, hesitation on splitting the check, poor communication and 20-30 minutes to get the bill paid. Uff da! read more
