The dishes were creative with a variety of purées and other items. The plates were colorful and delicious. A hodgepodge of every meat, liver that makes it so great. - Beef Burgundy - Braised for 24 hours, rich and concentrated flavors. - Trio of Fromage - Easily the greatest trio of cheeses I've ever had, no joke. If I spoke french I would have asked our server because they were that legendary. Anyone wanna look at my photo and help a brotha out?! We ordered a bottle of the 2009 "Clos Des Marconnets" Premier Cru that was fantastic. Very lean, acid driven and a perfect accompaniment to the richness of the food. I'd say the duck is my favorite and it is a huge portion for well-under 20 €, and they cook it in the fireplace in the middle of the room! The first time I ate here was so good I came back the next night. This is the best food deal in France. One could not ask for a more rustic, romantic setting that could be the same as it was 500 years ago. This is small-town local dining at its best!
