Great experience buying a car at Cavendar. Our sales rep, Fernanda, was an absolute professional! Buying a car can be a stressful experience but she made the process incredibly smooth. She was patient and helpful from the second we met her, to when we drove off the lot. Needless to say, we highly recommend Fernanda if you're in the market for a used or new car. She will work hard to find you what you need. You will immediately see that she loves what she does and thrives on helping others!

This is my second forerunner and fourth vehicle from the dealership. I only get it serviced at this dealership and I went to get my oil changed recently and they suggest suggested that I get My transmission fluid changed. So I had to bring it back the next day and I got the transmission fluid changed. The following weekend we drove to Houston and the transmission started acting up. There was a couple times where I had to do a hard stop and when I took my foot off the break and press the accelerator the transmission felt like sounded like it was gonna fall out of the car. The next day I texted the dealership two different numbers that had texted me asking me how my service went. The only response I received was bring it in. In my message I asked them to call me. They obviously ignored my message and just sent a standard reply. Bring it in. I haven't had a chance to bring it in due to various family things that are going on right now with our family I went today to the dealership after I was on hold for over 30 minutes waiting for somebody to come on the line to see if I could even take it in, I got stuck in traffic, and I made it there a few minutes after my appointment time. Some guy came up and I explained the situation he did not seem to really care once he looked at my information and said oh Josh is your service advisor. I'll go get him. Josh came back and apologized because he said he had two other guests I said that's fine I didn't explain the whole situation again and I reread the text message that I sent to him that he said he didn't get or didn't see or didn't read I said I'd like to leave the car here and let you guys look at it but I need a car. I need a rental car. He says well let me ask my manager. He left came back and said like they were doing me a huge favor. My manager will waive one day of rental car, but if it comes back that it's not anything to do with what we did to your vehicle we're gonna charge you $205 diagnostic fee. I said no you're not going to do that. That's not gonna happen. He said well think about it and he walked away. I got so mad. I called my husband , So my husband and his cousin who was a mechanic, spoke to Jesse, they spoke only speak Spanish. They explained everything to Jesse. He said he understood. During that time, some guy by the name of Ernesto came out and introduced himself to me and when he started speaking Spanish to me, I said I'm not the one that speaking Spanish and he said oh you speak English. I have to say this man was the rudest person that I've talked to there recently. He was very, very accusatory, threatening and just flat out rude. It all started with him saying that they would take care of the one-day rental and I said that's not the problem. I tried to explain to him what the problem was and then he accuse me of doing something to my car because I had taken so long to report it I said I reported it when it happened. There's a text message two of them and then he says well what happened and I said you don't even know what happened and you're coming out here to talk to me about this he did again accuse me saying I don't know what you did your car and I told him well. I don't know what you did to my car either when I got it got serviced Here. For him to flat out, threaten me and say that I did something to my car and now I'm trying to pull something over on them. It's just absolutely Ludacris. I will never ever buy anything from Cavender Toyota ever again and I will tell every single person that I can tell to never use that dealership.

This was our first visit to Cavender Toyota -- and also the day we picked up our new car! We had called numerous Toyota dealerships in search of a very specific model, and this was the only location that had it in stock. Once we confirmed availability, we made our decision quickly. The entire purchase process was smooth and well-organized. To our surprise, the car arrived a full week earlier than expected, which made the experience even more exciting! When we arrived, the staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. They guided us through the paperwork, and everything--from signatures to final inspection--was seamless. One small disappointment: Toyota used to offer a welcome gift or thank-you package upon purchase (like a hat, mug, or T-shirt). We were told this tradition stopped after COVID. As fans of Japanese customer service culture, we hope Toyota brings that small but meaningful gesture back--it made new owners feel truly appreciated. Still, we're grateful for the excellent service and thrilled with our car. Thank you, Cavender Toyota, for helping us find exactly what we were looking for! Cheers

Ask the Community - Cavender Toyota

Hello. Do you guys do spray or paint wheels to black? I wan to wash may car and spray my wheels too.

Hi Thuy! Thanks for reaching out to us. We actually do not do any wheel modifications here, and would recommend checking with some of the custom wheel shops in the area that might offer that kind of service. We do appreciate you thinking of us…

Very disappointed with my experience with Ryan. My vehicle is a 2019 GMC Sierra, and I contacted…read morehim because my truck had a coolant leak and I already strongly suspected that the radiator needed to be replaced. Before coming out, he told me he would still need to diagnose it and charged me $115. After paying the $115 diagnostic fee, I was basically told exactly what I already knew, the radiator needed to be replaced. Then I was informed that he couldn't actually do the repair because the job required the A/C refrigerant to be recovered and he didn't have the equipment necessary to do that. His recommendation was for me to take the truck to a repair shop. My biggest issue is, if you're advertising yourself as a mobile mechanic/certified technician and charging $115 just to come diagnose a problem, I would expect you to either have the equipment necessary to perform common repairs or be upfront BEFORE charging the customer that you may not be equipped to complete the job. On top of that, I felt his labor quote was extremely high. He quoted me $700 JUST FOR LABOR to replace the radiator on my 2019 GMC Sierra. I ended up taking my truck to an actual radiator shop, and they charged me only $300 for the labor. That's a $400 difference for the same radiator replacement. So I essentially paid Ryan $115 to tell me I needed the radiator I had already told him I believed I needed, was quoted $700 in labor, and then was told he couldn't even perform the repair because he didn't have the necessary A/C equipment. Based on my experience, it left me feeling like collecting the diagnostic fee was more important than actually repairing my vehicle. I would not use this service again. I would strongly recommend asking exactly what equipment he has and whether he can actually complete your repair BEFORE agreeing to pay the $115 diagnostic fee.

Y/D Automotive Mobile Services

Y/D Automotive Mobile Services

I cannot recommend Y/D Automotive after my experience with their mobile repair service…read more I found them through Google and contacted them for an alternator replacement. I was quoted about $585 for parts and labor. A technician came to my location around 3:00 PM, removed my alternator, then discovered he had brought the wrong replacement part. After checking multiple auto-parts stores, I was told the correct alternator would be about $950 plus $175 installation. Since that was substantially more than the original quote, I declined and asked only that my original alternator be reinstalled and the vehicle returned to the condition it was in before the work began. That did not happen. The technician spent several more hours trying to reinstall the alternator and drive belt but could not get the belt back on. I even spent about an hour trying to assist. Around 10:00 PM I told him to stop for the night. I paid him $60 for his time and was told another technician could come finish putting the vehicle back together. My vehicle was left undrivable overnight. The next morning Y/D initially told me someone would call back within 10-15 minutes to arrange another technician. That call did not come. I was later told all technicians were booked and someone could come the following morning around 10:00 AM. I could not leave my vehicle undrivable for another full day, so I hired an independent automotive technician to inspect it. He found that the drive-belt tensioner operating point/bolt had been stripped and could no longer be properly operated. I received an estimate of $449.65 to replace the tensioner assembly alone, separate from the alternator repair I already needed. When the independent technician returned to address the belt issue, he discovered that my original alternator had also been reinstalled incorrectly. It was not properly seated, and one mounting bolt was misaligned and not positioned through its proper mounting point. I am including a photo of that condition. According to the independent technician, the misaligned alternator prevented the belt from fitting correctly around the accessory system. He advised that the stripped tensioner was consistent with excessive force being applied while attempting to install the belt with the alternator improperly positioned. He also advised that the tensioner otherwise appeared to function normally apart from the stripped operating point. Once he properly seated and aligned the alternator, the belt could be installed correctly. The technician has agreed to document his findings in writing and, if necessary, testify regarding what he personally observed and his professional opinion. What disappoints me just as much as the mechanical work is how this was handled afterward. I repeatedly gave Y/D Automotive opportunities to resolve this directly. Despite already paying additional inspection and corrective-service costs, I initially asked only for the $449.65 cost of replacing the damaged tensioner. I specifically told them I was not asking them to pay for the alternator I already needed, my additional diagnostic expenses, corrective work, lost business income, transportation issues, or my time. I later made an even broader attempt to resolve this. After researching the business, I came to believe the technician who worked on my vehicle may also be the person operating Y/D Automotive. Because I am a small business owner myself and understand that people can get in over their heads, I offered to waive the $449.65 request entirely in exchange for an honest account of what happened, acknowledgment of the damage, and a sincere apology. That message was sent through multiple business communication channels, and some showed as read. I received no response resolving the matter. At this point I am beginning the formal process of pursuing recovery of my documented damages and expenses. I would have preferred to resolve this directly, but I am not willing to absorb damage to my vehicle and the resulting costs. Everyone makes mistakes. What matters is how someone handles them afterward. Based on the work performed on my vehicle and the way this situation has been handled, I absolutely cannot recommend Y/D Automotive. I am including supporting photographs and documentation where the platform allows so readers can evaluate the circumstances for themselves.

My beloved SUV needed a diagnostic check, so I sent out a few messages through Yelp for auto…read moreprojects and received several responses. Y/D Automotive Mobile Services was one of the first to reply and also one of the most reasonably priced options for diagnostic testing. We received a clear quote up front, and they were very transparent about the service area, letting us know there would be an additional charge if we were outside their 20-mile radius. I appreciated that honesty and made sure to confirm the distance between us. We were assured our home was within range, which made scheduling easy. We set an appointment just a couple of hours later. When we received the text that he had arrived, my partner in crime went out to meet him, and he got straight to work. The whole process felt efficient and professional. When I finally went outside to hear the verdict, it turned out the issue wasn't nearly as bad (or as expensive) as I had feared, which was a huge relief. Y/D also let us know he'd be ready to come back out to complete the repair whenever we're ready. So far, the experience has been smooth, transparent, and reassuring. I'll be following up with another review once the repairs are completed, but this was a very solid first impression.

Since I knew, in general, what the issue was going to be, I explained the issue, and we made arrangements for me to being my pickup truck in for a free diagnostic. Mind you, the sun hadn't already come up yet, and Triage was open and running already. The auto shop is tucked away off Bitters Rd between several other speciality garages. The waiting area was a clean and friendly with a wide window looking into the garage where you can see the mechanics at work. There were amenities such as bags of snacks, coffee, a water cooler, and a television. They had immediate availability and were quick to confidently diagnose the exact issue showing me the problem. A quote for the part I needed, as well as the removal and replacement of said part, was written up, and the owner offered to drive me to home or work while the repair was performed. I took him up on it, and he's a great guy. Keep in mind, all of this happened before other auto shops even opened for the day! Jacob, the manager and mechanic who worked on my vehicle serviced it promptly, letting me know status periodically. Since it was a reasonably simple repair, Jacob picked me up early that afternoon to take me back to the shop and finalize the service. My pickup was repaired, and I was back on the road before any other auto shops had even answered my Yelp Projects inquiry. The shop I had previously used for service had scheduled me three days out. As someone who does mechanic work myself and relies on my vehicle, I can confidently say Triage's expertise and urgency in getting me back on the road kept my business running with minimum downtime. The price was fantastic on labor too. Very competitive. I will be recommending them in the future for sure!

So a friend of mine had been talking about this place and how he wanted to take his vehicle there…read more Im surprised that more places like this don't exist, because you can ALWAYS get parts cheaper than what most dealerships or large mechanic chains sell them for. Most people either don't know that, or are too lazy to look around online to find something cheaper. Also, a lot of places wont take outside parts and install them on your vehicle. This is how they make money off of you. Take notes people!! I needed to get my rack and pinion replaced, so I called to get a quote. The guy I talked to on the phone gave me a quote that was actually cheaper than I was expecting. So I take my own part over there (bandera location), and go inside. The one guy I talked to (Martin I believe) was very professional. And I say that because a lot of places you go to...the service people act as if you HAVE to get work done there. They got my vehicle in and got to work. It did take a bit longer than expected but here's why. During the installation they found other stuff that needed to be fixed. Surprise surprise, right?. He took me outside and showed me what needed to be fixed. However, what set this guy apart from most others is that he didn't try to force me to get anything. Most places will make it seem like your vehicle is about to blow up if you don't get a new air filter. Martin showed me what I needed, got me quotes, but didn't pressure me. He sat there patiently as I cursed and chose which ones I wanted to replace. I can only give them 3 stars tho. After they installed the new part and I drove off...my vehicle started making a new noise. a loud one at that. I took it back to have them look at it again. there was something they didn't remove during the install that was rubbing against something else and making a bad sound. I didn't like that. BUT...the problem I went there for in the first place was fixed and everything is good.

I brought my vehicle in for an electrical issue with a clear estimate of $750. The actual problem…read morewas a minor fuse and an anti-theft system reset. Instead of honoring the original quote, the shop demanded $1,500. Yeah... that's completely reasonable. Paying $1,500 for a fuse and an anti-theft reset that should've been a fraction of that is absurd. The vehicle was fixed quickly but the actual price did not match the verbal quote and was nearly double. Be cautious--make sure you get agreements in writing and confirm final costs before leaving your vehicle. They're a predatory business.
