Went here with my family just for something fun todo, the guy working the front desk was super nice. And we had a good time with the bowling part. BUT the lady who runs the food area is SO RUDE, I couldn't even believe it. Not only to me but my whole family at different times last night. For example I asked for a cup of ice because my soda from the machine was warm which I didn't mind just needed some ice I was extremely nice and all I got back was rolled eyes and huffing and puffing. My husband then went up asked for some fries she was extremely rude and snippy then he asked for a coors light (in a bottle mind you) and she said "well I don't really have time for that since I need todo these fries" I'm sorry but the whole entire point of her job is so sell drinks and food and all she has todo is hand my husband the beer. If she cant manage time even when busy then she shouldn't work at the establishment. My mom, brother and his girlfriend ALL had a horrible experience with her as well. I understand sometimes people have bad days, but after reading reviews I learned this isn't just a one time thing even bad reviews for her dating back to 8 YEARS ago, so needed to add our experience so maybe someone can change her attitude about her job! read more

The actual bowling part of this joint gets fine stars. It's great! Smells just like you'd expect an old alley should, and checks all the boxes. Where this place fails terribly short, is the old troll who runs the bar/concessions. She went so far as to Watch like a hawk to see if I was sharing a drink with my wife, exceeding her one drink an hour limit Mind you, we are 50 years old, having an otherwise pleasant time with our adult kids. So attended an event there on Saturday. The staff at the bowling alley area was amazing polite funny that being said I had two cocktails while at the event and the bartender should be fired. I ordered the same drink twice first tIme I was charged $5.50 the second time she charged me $6.50 for the same drink I tipped her well the first time but not the second due to her little price increase. I witnessed her be incredibly rude to several other customers. Another member of my team claims he saw her skimming money from till to tip jar. If it was my business I would want to knnow one of my employees was behaving so poorly. So came back and lowered the stars after discovering the nasty bartender owns the place. She should take a lesson in basic customer service from her staff. Hire a competent bartender and stay away from customers. read more

Honestly, this place isn't the best. Most of the lanes are either out of order or they constantly get jammed and you have to wait at least ten minutes for someone to come fix it. The service is pretty slow considering they usually only have 2 people working there. It's generally filled with senior citizens or barely anyone at all. The "bartender" knows nothing about mixing drinks. The food is actually pretty good though, so there's a plus lol. read more

I have no idea why the reviews for this place are so low. The staff were friendly and accommodating when I needed to swap my shoes for one size smaller. They were good with the group of children a few lanes away from us. The lanes were well maintained with comfortable seating. No smoke or "bowling alley smell". Good quality shoes and balls available. Taking off one star because the food was closed when we were there, but the vending machine drinks were cold and reasonably priced. A good place to have fun with the family! read more

The old woman that bartends is so rude I waited patiently for 30 mins to get a drink and when she arrived at the bar she didn't greet me or say anything instead she served 2 people that had basically been waiting for 1 min knowing I had been there 30 mins waiting. We just moved into town and last night we decided to try out the bowling alley. Their website says cosmic bowling Friday nights from 10-midnight. We showed up at 10:40pm and when we walked to the counter the manager Cindy didn't even look up to greet us, just head down with her paperwork. We said hello and asked if we could get a lane. She responds rudely with "I close in 20 minutes". Not sure what to make of that, we ask, "So is that a no?". Cindy responds "well I guess if you can play really fast you can get one game in but I close at 11!". Totally put off by her rude attitude and complete lack of customer service we decided to leave. Took the kids bowling at Caveman Bowl. I will NEVER go back there again. The balls are terrible, and they have a sign that they will not fix them. That I can deal with. The kids and I wanted something to drink, so between the two games, we went to the food counter. After 5 minutes and several glances from the lady in the back, she finally acknowledged that I existed. She told me in a way that insinuated me being there was a problem, "It's gonna be a while...." In case she was assuming I wanted food, I asked, "Even for drinks?" To which she said in a much ruder, more irritated manner "I'm busy filling orders right now" ... Ok, fine. I can accept you're busy, however a simple "I'll be with you in a few minute"' to begin with would have been good customer service, instead I felt like a burden giving them my business. The rudeness is completely uncalled for. I let me manager know, and they told me they are short staffed. Again I can understand that, but that does NOT excuse being downright rude to paying customers. The only reason I finished my bowling game and didn't leave right then is because my children were having fun bowling. As a matter of principle I will now take all of my bowling business to Medford and gladly pay the extra cost of Lava Lanes and in gas, for a better experience. read more

I showed up for the first time to Caveman Bowling excited to start a new league as we are new to the area. I was greeted by the owner upon entering, I let him know that I was a league bowler and that I would be starting league on Tuesday nights. He responded the games are on me today since this is your first time here. (WOW) I let him know that I'll be playing for over an hour and I also brought my family, he said that was ok and it didn't matter he was still paying for the games. I've never been anywhere where an owner was so nice and welcoming. He also introduced me to the manager which is also extremely nice as well, they both went out of their way to ensure that I had a great time bowling and helped me join a league. The beer here is awesome the service is great and the lanes were just fine. I haven't bowled in over a year and bowled 5 games over 200!! I did have a ball that got stuck once and the guy ran right over and cleared it up. Keep up the good work Caveman bowling!!! read more

The owners and the staff are extremely rude and short with you. Don't try and have a birthday party for a child there. They're not nice to children and have terrible customer service. Great classic Bowling Alley! Great place for kids and adults to spend some time having fun. I have been there many times with friends and my kids, we always have fun and enjoy ourselves. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The lanes are in great shape and I've never seen one down for maintenance. But if you ask me lane 4 leans a little to the left, or maybe it was just the whiskey I had. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a game or two and find out for yourself about lane 4! read more

I decided to throw my girls birthday party at Caveman bowl. Huge mistake! After Checking their website I called them and asked to reserve three lanes next Saturday for my daughter's party. I was informed that they I did not reserve lanes for parties it was first come first serve and that Saturday night was there cosmic bowling and after five it would be far too busy to get three lanes together. Come Saturday I got there at 4:30 so that I could get three lanes together. Upon arriving the man behind the counter looked at our gifts and told me there were no pet parties scheduled for Saturday night. I let him know that I talk to him last week about reserving lanes for a party and he told me it was first come first serve and he said well there must've been a mistake I didn't realize you wanted to have a birthday party and we don't do that after three. (They open at 1) I was frustrated but I tried not to let it show and asked if it was OK if we bowled there And celebrated the girls birthday and he said that was fine but it wouldn't have a birthday package which I was fine with. He then told me that he needed me to pre-pay for everyone right then and there to get me on a lane despite the fact that the bowling alley was almost completely empty. He gave me a piece of paper with the three lanes that he assigned us to and wanted me to write down who would be blowing on each lane. We seated ourselves and I began to write down names. I believe I got about five names on the list before someone was placed at one of the lanes that he just gave us. I went up to the counter and this time there was a woman there who said she was never told that we had those three lanes. I showed her the paper that I had just received and started filling out. She was very agitated and walked away when another man said I'll move them and he took care of it. Then the woman got my attention and said I hope you didn't bring any outside food or cake. I let her know that when I looked at her website it said that it was OK to bring in cake as long as it was store-bought. She informed me that that was only for people that had Reserved a birthday party. I informed her that I had indeed tried to book a birthday party last week but I was told that they didn't reserve lanes for parties. She said that she didn't know what to say that I was absolutely under no circumstances to have any cake in her establishment. I went back to my table and asked my guests if they would like to go to lava lanes instead. We packed our things and headed to lava lanes. On our way out she made sure to have the last word. Despite four people coming in and out from behind the counters both of the concession stand and the main Booth she insisted that there were only two people working. We ended up spending well over $500 at lava lanes which was packed and have very good customer service. I'm surprise caveman bowl wouldn't let us enjoy a few rounds of bowling and our store-bought cupcakes Despite only having three lanes being occupied. If you enjoy a family atmosphere and good customer service you may want to consider choosing lava lanes over caveman bowl. They should consider themselves lucky that anyone would even want to bowl there considering the place smells like a pile of gym shoes in a boys locker room and they don't open the bar or kitchen until after 6. Also, I read their reviews on yelp and Facebook and the most common complaint was the rude staff. read more

Absolute horrible service. Honestly they are lucky they are the only bowling alley in town. The "bartender" leaves a sign up at the bar that says go to cafe for service, then tells you she's too busy to get you anything. Then she acts busy for a few seconds and goes back to doing nothing. Absolutely horrible service from one of the team members. We have brought our kids to this alley for years for birthday parties and tonight we brough about 8 teenagers to bowl and celebrate a birthday. The bowling alley has a policy against outside food and drink which is a new policy because we have been several times when that wasn't the case, and the door we entered at did NOT have it posted. Anyhow, we brought in some pizzas and as soon as we sat down, Angelina practically got in my wife's face and told her we couldn't have it in there. My wife stayed calm and told her that we would take it out, and Angelina continued to stare her down. Afterwards another staff member came and said the same thing as we were taking the food outside. We will absolutely honor their policies as well as the policies of any business, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do things. While we all love to bowl, from now on we will drive the 30 minutes to medford. I really hope they do something about this staff member. read more

Definitely not impressed with this bowling alley anymore. My family used to be able to come and hang out for hours and have a great time. The cosmic bowl hours went from ending at midnight to ending at 10:30 and won't let you buy any games after 9:30. Most of the games in the game room were broken and the lady at the front desk was grouchy and didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all. The lights were all broken, they didn't even turn off the regular lights over the lanes for cosmic bowling so there was realistically no cosmic especially with the cost of playing. A lot of the bowling balls are damaged as well. Ruins the experience and fun when the ball is hurting your hands. The fries were ok kinda but the cheese sticks were barely even cooked and were hard, the cheese wasn't not even melted and the Nacho cheese was not good at all. The sodas had no bubbles at all. It's just super frustrating to spend so much money and wait for cosmic bowling to have such an awful experience. The arcade wasn't in good shape at all. The place has so much potential but feels like the people who run it just either don't love it anymore or something I don't know but I hope things change it could be such a fun place for families got enjoy in Grants Pass. read more

Deserves 0 stars!! Worst customer service I have ever received. Cindy the manager was so rude. I called ahead of time to try and schedule and reserve some lanes for my sons' birthday. They told me I couldn't do that. So I pick a time that's not so busy there so I know will get a lane. We just arrive and she is rude asking how many. I ask her to hold on we're truing to figure it out still she responds rudely asking again how many. Then looks at someone that is with us and says that that soda has to go. Then scoops out the tables were sitting at and says yep those cupcakes have to go to. I said we can't have cupcakes for a little kids birthday. She said nope not unless you schedule it ahead of time. And was extremely nasty. She said and we already have a birthday scheduled so you'll have to come back later. So we take them outside. My grandpa asks her if he can pay a fee for the kids to be able to eat the cupcakes. She said it is 15.95( It's 15 something). So we bowl and when we are leaving there was a guy and kids eating little Caesars pizza. So these people probably regulars can eat little caears pizza but our 10 kids ( aging from 3-10) in the party couldn't eat there cupcakes?!?!?! Next time we'll go to Medford to bowl. read more
